As Oberst has not posted yet, I will just have him do a basic shot with his bow. Also Whurly, total defense is a full round action, at least I am pretty sure it is. I will have you ready an action to hit the next enemy instead.
1. Severn you stab at the rat, missing, and then back away to the door (R14).
2. Taz, the first rat that comes around the corner you will miss.
3. Rats. The Rat in the woodpile closest will jump off of his wood pile and rush toward Severn. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15, damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 The Rat on the next closest wood pile will also jump down and take a bite at Taz. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7, Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 The rest of the Rats will reposition.
4. Tommar will not move and then will miss the Rat in combat with Severn.
5. Oberst will shoot the Rat in combat with Severn. Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21, Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 He grazes the rat, doing a small amount of damage to it.
6. Askar will move behind Oberst and miss. (I see we have a firing squad now.)
7. Whurly happens to be rather stuck at the moment, I would be willing to say Tommar moved out of his way afterwards though.
Next phase.
| Severn Morcant |
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 6) + 4 = 14
Severn shakes the rat off, its claws scrabbling ineffectually at his breastplate, and attacks it in return.
If I kill the rat, I will move into its space. If I do not kill the rat, I will move 10' back into the room so Whurly can be the first line of defense.
Standard Action: Attack, Move Action: either 5' to end in Q14 or 10' to end in S13 (this provokes an AoO?)
Tazennin Talviir

Relieved that Severn stepped up into melee, Taz will take a 5' step back to Q12 and fire at the rat at Q15.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 - 4 = 3
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3

Honestly, I am not really sure what options do I have now - if I understood correctly, Severn killed a rat at R14, and then moved to Q14? I'm guessing that rats are small enough that we can share space/square with them, right?
Seeing that Severn was able to kill the first rat and moved ahead, Whurly follows closely in his footsteps, trying to hit one of the next critters.
Axe attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Target is, if possible the one in Q14, with Severn. If not than Q15
Axe damage: 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Askar Avari
|
Askar does not exactly have an excellent shot from the point he's at. But his target sits about thirty feet away at (P14). "Tazennin, step back, I'll try and get a clear shot." I know this is part of his action, so that works well enough. Once Tazennin has stepped back, Askar will fire at said rat with one quick shot.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
I'm assuming the enemy has cover, but with Tazennin moved, he won't apply the melee penalty to me. If that rat moves, he'll target anyone that isn't in melee with an ally.
Cover Roll, Low Miss: 1d100 ⇒ 40

Well, we may have lost Oberst as well.
1. Severn kills the rat, moving up into its square.
2. Taz will shoot at the rat who is in combat with Severn, missing.
3. Rats. The rat starting at P14 will 5 foot step toward Tazennin and then attack him. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3The rat in the woodpile will move to P14 and will attack Severn. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16, Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 The rat at Q15 will also attack Severn Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14, Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3 The other two rats will reposition. Together, Tazennin takes 3 damage, and I need a fort save against disease.
4. Tommar fixes his gun
5. Oberst will shoot at the rat at P14 Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 4 = 6 [dice=Damage] 1d8+1
6. Askar shoot at the Rat at P15 (as that one is not in combat) hitting the wooden planks that are covering part of its body.
7. Whurly will hit, killing the rat at Q15.
Next, and if Oberst doesn't respond soon then I will bring Helod back on.
| Severn Morcant |
Again, Severn manages to escape injury from the pile of rats scatching and biting at him. He swings at the rat menacing Tazennin to his right.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 2 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 6) + 4 = 16
+2 for flanking with Taz but I still don't think that hits. If it does and I happen to kill the rat, I will move into it's square. If the rat lives, I will move 5' into Q15
Standard Action: Attack, Move Action: 5' step into either Q13 or Q15

Fortitude save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Taz isn't feeling so hot...
Taz will 5' step back yet again, loosing another arrow at the rat that bit him.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 3 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
"Uh, guyth, a little help?"

Will invite Helod back in after this combat
1. Severn misses, stepping into Q15.
2. Taz will step back, shooting at and killing the rat in front of him.
3. Rats. The rest will jump off of their piles of wood and rush toward Severn and Askar. The one from O15 will move to will move to P16 and attack Severn. Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 The rat at P15 will jump down and take an attack of opportunity from Severn for it. Severn's Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12 Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 4) + 4 = 9 missing the rat who then takes a bite at Severn Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2 The final rat at P14 will move to Q14 and also try to swarm Severn Attack (flank): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
4. Tommar not sure what you meant, but as all rats are in combat, I would not call that a clear shot.
5. Askar, the wood is total, not partial. One of your attacks then at the rat in the one in Q14. Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 6 - 4 = 15 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 That kills
6. Whurly, Severn is in your way at the moment, I can have you try to push around the barrels though with a double move.

Taz will stay where he is, firing at the rat engaging Severn at Q16.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 1 - 4 = 9 (+1 PBS, -4 firing into melee)
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7
| Severn Morcant |
"Whurly, there's still one that I can't reach!" Severn calls to his team mate as he engages the rat within range. He saw the Dwarf trundle on up the aisle so is hoping the warrior will circle around behind.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2) + 4 = 8
Crit Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 1) + 4 = 11
Not sure if I crit. Please add the two damages together if I did. If I kill the rat, I will move into Q16, if not, I will stay where I am
Standard Action: Attack, Move Action: 5' into Q16 if the rat is dead
