Marcus Ironskin
Marcus lands.
Seems all clear. We are not far from the town. Perhaps we can get a room and get some rest there. It could be dangerous for us there as well so we need to be careful no one say too much to the locals.
Is this a coast town, I think we were looking to get a ship from here right?
Ausk Swiftstrike
During their travels Ausk keeps a close eye on the slave girl as she might be lying about that. When they get closer to town Ausk uses the dirt around him to make himself appear more rough and mean looking. He also creates a few superficial scratches in his armor.
"Yes, we should only talk with the locals if need be and we should try and find a ship as soon as possible."
GM of Set
As you approach the gate you notice guards searching any and all carts going into the city. Two humans, a half orc and you think it might be either an elf or a half elf.
The half orc spots you
"You there.! What is your business here? If aren't here for recruitment, I suggest you leave, town is full as it is all ready"

'Suny'
Suny skips a little closer and leans forwards inquisitively,
"Whut it be ye gatherin' people's fer?" She asks.
GM of Set
The comment from Marcus makes the half orc stop, then frowns
"I am tasked to search for infiltrators, spys and the like, your remark has just put you on the watch list"
he then continues
"As for recruitment, the Lord of this region is here, recruiting people for an upcoming mission of sort, i do no know what, and i do not care. I have my work, and if you cause trouble... well, with the High Lord here, let's just say you will not have a very good time"
Marcus Ironskin
"Infiltrators spies? This sounds like treasonous talks from a simple lord. We are searching for some people that are of interest to the Empress, I'm sure she would love to know her agents were met with such disrespect from some lowly guard in service to a lowly lord. I will forget your pathetic threat this time. Now let us pass."
Bluff: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Ausk Swiftstrike
Ausk almost sighs as Marcus claims that they were agents of the Empress. Ausk then steps to the side of the group making sure he is not close by them anymore after the mention of being agents of the Empress.
"I'm just here to fight and make money."
GM of Set
"You say he is a lowly lord? He is one of the generals of her army! Even if you are an agent of her majesty, calling one of her generals lowly is very much disrespectful. I advise you to go see him right now. Now move along, one of my men will escort you to him" he waves the group off before he turns to the human(Ausk). You can see the loathing in his eyes
"Bah! Another filthy human that tries to make money! Well, just follow the stream of people to the docks. There you can sign up. Okay. Get out of my sight before i have you in irons for polluting the street with your filth"

Marcus Ironskin
"The lord here is a general, then what threat is he looking for here. This makes no sense. We will see him in our own time. We do not need an escort as our orders come from the Empress and if she wants us to speak with this general then she will tell us. Come along now men."
Marcus motions for the others to follow as they move in. He will keep an eye out if they are being followed and they will head toward the docks.
Perception: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (9) + 21 = 30
Lilah
Lilah cringes at the entire conversation, trying to slink more and more into her cloak as she tries to remain inconspicuous. She responds to the general hostility by attempting to hide rather unsuccessfully behind Suny.
Once they're through, she hesitantly pipes up. "W..what were we looking for?"
'Suny'
Suny, who's been a little quieter than her usual incandescent self, sidles over to Lilah and whispers in reply, "I be thinkin' we's after a boat ta' be gettin' off'n this curse be-sighted rock..."
'Suny'
*Waves* (^_^)
I still be keepin' a eye on it. Real Life has a way of gettin' tha' better of peoples though.
Wishin' every one all'a very bestest! (^_^)
GM of Set
At the docks, you see many ships, mostly warships. The docks themselves are busy, but one can feel the tension. And the source of the tension too.
The Source of the tension and fear
Lines on lines were in front of him. If one looked closely, each person, human, elf, dwarf, any race found in the city, the males and fighting fit females bowed and signed a document before they were led to either a group near the docks, or led on board one of the ships
'Suny'
"Oooo..." Suny exclaims and edges closer to her compatriots.
Happy to be looking for some place we can see about sneakin' away.
Marcus Ironskin
Right Suny, we can't hope to fight this with it having the support of this town. Is that then one you escaped from? Marcus ask the girl. It may even remeber the marks I bear if it witnessed me fight in the arena before. Lets get out of here and take to the water. Maybe we can't sneak up to one of the boats from the water and stow aboard it.
Lilah
Lilah jumps and squeaks at the unexpected contact. She awkwardly pats Suny on the back before looking around for any less active boat sites.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
She then pipes up in a hushed whisper. "M-maybe we should w-wait until this" she motions at chaos in front of them "dies down? And l-lie low until then?"
'Suny'
Suny nods, "Aye. Findin' maybe a tavern or such so's we can be garnerin' more knowin' about whut's goin' on here abouts." She suggests.
Ausk Swiftstrike
Ausk looks over at the group as they decide what to do. He knows there might be someone watching the group since they caused a scene at the gate, so he follows the group where it goes while blending into the crowd and trying to keep an eye out for any other people who might be following.

You continue with your "mission" as you head to the ship. The streets are rather crowded, you are pretty sure you are not being followed, and no one has seed you as of yet.
As you come closer to one of the ships, the shadows seem to move on their own as two masked figures step out
"I do not think you will get to the ship, unfortunately, so perhaps, follow us. Someone wants a word with you"
'Suny'
Suny steps so as to place herself between the girl and at least one of the mysterious strangers.
"Here now. We's only jus' met an' ye be makin' it seem like there be no reason ta be friendly. We's jus' askin' a polite question, is all..."
Perception:1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Diplomacy:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Marcus Ironskin
Marcus grits his teeth and weighs his options.
"Fine... You give us little choice here. Its alright Suny I won't let anything happen to her. Let's see what they want. Let's do this quickly and quietly."
Marcus puts his arm around Lilian and awaits the men to show the way.
Lilah
A thousand thoughts dance through Lilah's head. Should she threaten to make a ruckus? Seems like something they'd want to avoid. But then, they didn't really want to draw the dragon's attention either. She could point out the masked men were outnumbered. But that could lead to a fight and back to point A. She could feign indifference towards the death of the girl and point out they would have no leverage then.
The problem of with all of these options is that they required talking. So with a sigh, she decides to follow quietly along. If things get too bad, we could probably all just make a break for it....
'Suny'
Suny, still seeming on edge, nods at Marcus' words and thence to the men to show that she too accepts how events have transpired.
GM of Set
The girl was shivering. Avoiding the looks and the clutches of the group.
They began to lead you down the street. People seem to make way for them. You notice even Lillian was eyeing the ones leading you.
you may make a sense motive check on Lillian
She seems worried. More so than when you first found her
After about 15 minutes of walking, they lead you out of the city again where a coach was waiting. 4 very dark horse were at the front. The coach itself was very elaborate. Royal looking even. A single coachman was at the reigns.
The people who led you get on horses that soon flank the coach
"Enter."
