Very well, does anyone here have the means of travelling through alternate dimensions, perhaps becoming ethereal, or passing through stone, that sort of thing? You see, this door should be able to withstand any spell I cast on it, and any physical attempts to open it, but we may be able to bypass it entirely if we travel by another means...

Clarifying the last comment I made, something like passwall if that is what your refering to with the stone comment is not going to work even on the wall as the door ward protect even the walls 5 ft to either side of it

"As a monk of Irori, I volunteer to try and open the doors if that is what we would like. I also am able to traverse another plane and come back to this one on the other side of the door."
Pendin will make a strength check to open the door if the group's vote is to physically try to open it
Strength
Pendin will Abundant Step at the cost of 2 ki points to the other side of the door, being ready for anything hostile, and make a perception check to look around the room if the group's vote is that way

Try to force it if you like. I doubt it will budge. Then again I have been wrong before...
Like that time with the doppelganger prostitute boss?
Damn it, Luca! It was a courtesan.
As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, I think Pendin's second idea is the correct one. I can even carry some of us through if my theory is correct. I am simply... Wary of going in alone. Luca may be able to communicate telepathically with you through the door, Pendin, so we'll try to stay in touch.
Thanks for the clarification on the walls. I was definitely thinking Stone Shape as an option.

"Your concern is admirable Aelaeron, though your beast may not be as such, but I can always come back as soon as I am threatened with being overwhelmed if we cannot maintain contact through the doors. I can't allow myself to let another member of our group to endanger themselves if I can help it."

Chirinide steps in front looking at them for a moment, "I have just the thing. We go around."
She walks over to a wall while she unfolds some cloth which she hangs on the wall and then she walks into the cloth. After a moment she comes back out with a beautiful lyre. She folds up the cloth again and puts it away.

You first try to push the door open or pull it however the door does not budge in anyway shape or form. You then take a step back and focus your ki and enter a meditive state while imagining the other side of the door. Everyone around you notices you seem to blink out of existance for about a few seconds only to blink right back into exist 10 feet back from where you started. You feel winded however and find yourself on you knees looking at the ground and for the first time notice the track everyone had seen further up the hall on the ground in front of you coming from the door leading out to the tunnel you guys came from.

your lyre is not going to work in this situation if your trying to take down the walls
Pendin Fust
"Puff, puff...Something is stopping me from stepping through the wall. Puff...but look! These tracks are leading back up the tunnel from these...puff...doors."

the walls are stone. The track lead away from the closed doors in fact it looks like they are coming from where the door was probably previous opened, the tracks are not old, probably no more than a few days to a few weeks at most as the dust is not as thick in them. They also seem humanoid. the tracks lead out of this room and up the tunnel to where the star was and disappear up the tunnel you guys orginallly came down
Pendin Fust
Pendin follows the trail down to the star and into the tunnel they originally entered in through. He looks to see if he can follow them back to where they disappear...

Chirinide tries the lyre in vain. "Well my toy doesn't like these walls apparently."
She walks back to the other end of the hallway near the star and tries to make a small room with the lyre to make sure it works(and give her a place to sleep if it comes to that).
to clarify it not that lyre is not working in the door room its that it has no effect on the walls there. As to you going up to the area with the star in it you can certainly do this but understand it can take up to 30 minutes or more to see any discernible effect on any walls if this is what you want to do then fine

Perhaps that symbol carved into the floor is related to the door. It did look as though something rested inside it.
Lord, does the shape of the symbol provide any clues as to what used to be in it?
None really your earlier examination gives you the only clues just that the star has some sort of lingering conjuration magic about it. If you trying to ask is do you notice if they have anything to do with or seem to be tied to the doors, then the answer is no your character is sure they don't

The tracks lead back up the hallway near the star and disappear about where everyone stops that came in dripping from the rain outside and then sporadically continue where not dripped on out the entrance you guys originally entered when you can into the ruins.
Pendin Fust
Pendin calls back to the party, "All, I see some tracks that lead back to the entrance and I can make out some that are outside the entrance. I don't have great skill in following tracks like these but it may be worth trying to follow them."
Chirinide the Half-Elf
"So someone used a giant door knocker or battering ram. Should I make one of those?" She goes over checking the marks on the floor near the door to see if maybe they indicate repeated motion like a battering ram.
"I don't think I should waste the energy though. Maybe... lets take a quick look around the outside of the entrance. Perhaps we can find some bit of ancient stonework or something that can clue us in. Or perhaps another route entirely."
Chirinide goes back to just outside the entrance and looks around hiding from sight and wishing she could hide from the rain too.

Aelaeron, did your cute little companion say something about a doppleganger prostitute? flashes him a slightly baleful eye, before softening to a slight smirk A guy like you with such a cute little wing man must be beating women away with sticks, besides sex is much better when its with some one you love fingers her scarf at that last statement

The marks on the floor tell you that something or someone at some point in the past has tried to open this door using something the could leave marks such as scraps and scratches on the ground. You would venture to guess it is not from a battering ram though. The only indication of any kinda that this door has opened are the humanoid tracks starting from just outside the door and leading up the tunnel. You follow these tracks outside as Pendin did and come to the realization that to track these tracks in the rain much less at night will be near to impossible especially considering that what was in the tunnel was noticeable because not much else had disturbed the ground in there for long periods of time where as outside it is very likely it is in a constant state of flux do to environmental and weather conditions. Another thing is what you saw inside had been there for sometime not a day or so more like several days or weeks so tracks outside are likely gone at this point. Looking about outside you are sure this tunnel is the only entrance into the castle also no stonework around outside gives any sort of clue what you would need to do. It comes to you though when you step back in the tunnel that there seems to be an awful lot of foot traffic from these humanoids to the point where you would guess they come up these ways if not often than fairly regularly.....

Nope, your best guess is it has something to do with the Runelords or there like due to it similarity with their symbols and the age of the complex.

I'm going to stay down here and think on it. No use getting wet.
Thas, how goes Aelaeron rate his chances of summoning something to manifest on the other side of the door?
pretty slim to nil in my opinion cause you would need to know what on the other side to begin with

"Why, it is my nature to protect those who have not devoted themselves to physical perfection, as have those of us who are devoted to Irori. We could always knock on these troublesome doors and see if anyone answers..."

You again examine the tracks Chirinide you would say it been at least a few days if not several since the latest tracks were made. Prior to that a week maybe more. All this you surmise while your cleric begins to sing a strange tale of a bear and a maiden that has a decent if not off beat tone to it....
Pendin Fust
Pendin goes back to inform the rest of the party of the plans to wait for whoever comes here. Once he has done that he walks to the north end of the tunnel and just past the intersection sits cross legged and meditates.
Ki pool is regenerated after 8 hours of rest, nonconsecutive.
He makes certain to keep his ears attuned to what is going on around him so as to hear any comings or goings.
Chirinide the Half-Elf
How much space between the door and the tracks. You said just outside, does that mean that the door isn't partially covering certain tracks? Do they suddenly appear away from the door as though people didn't walk through when it was open?
On a separate note,
"I wonder if it's an illusion. The perfect door would be impenetrable to outsiders yet would not hinder those who are allowed. And one who believes an illusion could spend days trying to break in, yet walk right through if they knew the truth."

how how were the celings again?
Pendin is correct on the height, and unless I state otherwise all rooms are 20 feet high and corridors are 10 feet wide. again unless I say otherwise such as the door room you are in which is 20 feet high, 30 feet across and 15 feet long otherwise the above are constants through out the dungeon
