Sorin heats the shuffling of boots, but not soon enough to warn anyone. So instead, she tries to intercept the would be attackers in order to mitigate any advantage they may have on her friends.
Sorin dives into a roll toward the figures on the right, striking at both with her quarter staff.

Sorin, you can't reach both on the right, as one of them is climbing on the ceiling like a spider. I'll have you leap to the left instead if that's okay (there's no real difference otherwise).
Sorin leaps to the left, quarterstaff spinning in a blur. She takes one in the face, sending a spray of blood across the alcove, simultaneously knocking the blowgun from its lips, then the spinning staff flashes across to strike the other in the gut, causing it to double over briefly with a grunt.
Both of Sorin's opponents respond in kind. The first leaps at her, revealing a wolf-like maw and sharp claws. It bites her shoulder while scratching at her face (3 damage). The second draws a dagger and latches onto her opposite arm with its bite, also scoring a shallow wound along her side (total of 4 damage).
The two on the right continue to attack with their blowguns, one at Kraz, the other at Beerg, but the darts strike the stone wall harmlessly.

Kraz springs to his right, hacking at the creature targeting him with a blow torch. It gets its arms up to try to deflect the blows, but still takes some serious damage from the snarling half-orc, including a serious slash to the ribs. It staggers under Kraz's assault, looking badly wounded, and Nilelane scores a glancing blow on it with her icy beam.
Beerg and Sorin to go!

Kraz lashes out at the creature as it flees from him, but it manages to duck beneath his swing. It reaches the corner of the corridor and also starts making loud noises, though it emanates more of a bleating sound than a yell. Kraz chases after, swing again and again, yet it just barely manages to avoid all of his attacks.
Nilelane's spell creates a visible to those with darkvision area of slickness on the roof, and the creature is unable to keep its footing, falling to the ground with a crunch. It lays there unmoving for a moment, before starting to get to its feet. No save for it there - figured when grease is cast on a roof, gravity kind of makes that decision for you! Also, turned out to be max falling damage :) Nice work Nilelane. Beerg and Sorin up!

Sorin smashes into the fallen creature, and though it grunts in obvious pain it continues to try to clamber to its feet. It then rushes for the corner ahead, ducking under another of Sorin's staff strikes as it does. It reaches Kraz and attempts to manoeuvre around him. This distracts Kraz just enough that when the other creature flees around the corner the half-orc's mighty swing crashes into the wall.
Okay, so one of them, badly wounded, has made it around the corner into the next section of corridor, or chamber, you're not sure, though there is a faint glow of pale light bleeing into the darkness of the corridor you're in. The creature that fell from the roof has just reached Kraz and the corner. Apart from Kraz, who's right there, you're all about 20 feet from the corner. Everybody up!

GM Hewy |
The creature dodges Kraz's first swing, but perfectly presents itself for his second strike, which he brings down on its head. It falls to the ground, unmoving. Grinning in satisfaction, Kraz moves up to the corner...
...And sees a worrying sight. Before Kraz is a huge cavern, 160 feet deep and 100 feet wide, obviously expanded from its natural size by skilled dwarven craftsmen and miners. The walls of the cavern carry strange runes, seen in the dim and uncertain light of a smouldering blue-white fire burning in a large brazier that sits on the floor in the middle of the chamber.
At the far end of the cavern is a huge stone dais, upon which stands an altar, obviously a recent addition. On the altar lies a huge white shaggy creature, much like the ones you fought early in your jaunt below the Twisted Tower, but this one is half again as big as those. It also has just recently had its throat cut, and its lifeblood is just now beginning to stop flowing from the wound. Behind the altar, flanked by two more of the huge white-furred creatures, is a female drow dressed in ceremonial robes. As Kraz rounds the corner she holds aloft a plain black staff as she chants in the sibilant language of the drow priestesses. The shaggy beasts roar at the sight of the half-orc, and Kraz can see the still babbling creature fleeing from him towards the only other exit from the room, about halfway along the eastern wall (right, from Kraz's perspective at the north of the room).

A bolt of purple light shoots out, and where it strikes the stone floor sprout two huge spiders, their mandibles dripping ichor and their hairy five foot long legs twitching.

Sorin slams back a potion and moves up toward the corner. Tirrendale moves out into the huge chamber and takes up a position behind Beerg. The shaggy creatures snarl and roar as they charge forward, reaching the blue-white fire in the middle of the room. The cloaked guard continues fleeing into a wide corridor leading west.
Jack moves up slowly beside Sorin, shaking the remnants of the drow poison from his head. Nilelane, seeing Jack awake, rushes into the room and takes up a defensive position. Beerg follows suit, marking out one of the spiders with a spell.
The drow priestess moves up behind her minions, her ebony black staff shining weirdly in the semi-darkness. Her spiders advance, skittering on their spindly, hairy legs. Both clamber over Nilelane's invisible canoe; one closes with Kraz while the other clambers towards Beerg.
Okay, Kraz and Sorin to go, then the shaggy ones, then we're back to Kraz again. Look out, this battle's going to be a doozy!

Kraz slams into the huge (and now properly resized) spider in front of him, dodging back as brown-green ichor spills from the huge wound on its abdomen. Sorin quaffs another potion and begins to move forward to engage the enemy. Tirrendale, making some kind of hoarse noise with his ruined throat, charges forward into the spider advancing on Beerg brandishing his warhammer. Jack pops out from behind the corner and fires a bolt at the spider menacing Kraz, but it fires high into the darkness. Beerg focuses on the remaining spider, calling down Torm's justice upon it. He steps up, swinging his weapon mightily, and the creature falls back under his blow. It lunges back at him, and its mandibles scrape up his breastplate, almost striking his face, leaving a trail of venom behind, but Beerg's armour and Torm's favour spare him from its bite. Sorin then steps forward, striking first with her staff, then putting her fist through one of its eyes. Her forearm inside its head, the spider twitches madly for a moment, then collapses on the ground.
Meanwhile, the priestess continues to advance, and as she does purple-pink flames spring up around most of your party. Beerg, Jack, Kraz, and Tirrendale are outlined by faerie fire. Sorin managed to save.
The two shaggy creatures converge on Beerg, swinging their claws at his fire-outlined form. Still, the half-orc paladin manages to deflect most of their attacks with his shield and weapon, but one of the creatures manages to get in close and strike him low in the belly, causing him to grunt in pain as his blood to flows onto the stone floor. 7 damage there Beerg.
