Again, shit has gone nuts at work. Expect some delays for the next 2-3 days.

No worries, GM!

On a random note, this game has more or less hit the 6 month mark - that's much longer than most seem to go! Yay :)

Feeling good about that... will try to post tomorrow in the mean time you guys post what you want.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

and we're making decent time as well : )

I hope things calm down for you. I know how that feels.

18 hour days atm but I am loving life - I haven't done some of this stuff in years.

HP 23/(25)/[25]; Disrupt Undead 1/1; Stability 9/11 AC 17, T 14, FF 13 // Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +0 (+2 vs enchantment)// CMD 15 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7

Good to hear something positive from your RL :)

Inactive

Hate that work has kept you busy but I'm glad that you're getting to do something you enjoy :)

F Halfling N Dirge Bard 2 AC 19, T 14, FF 16 // Fort +2, Ref +7, Will +4(+7) // Stability 14/[15] // CMD 12 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7 (+1) // HP 17/(17)/[17] // BP 7/7

This was a really cool set up due to my and Gibbs' past, but for future reference just because I pick the lock doesn't mean I open the door (unless I say I do). I was waiting to hear my success before stepping aside and letting the party fighter do it. o_O

HP 23/(25)/[25]; Disrupt Undead 1/1; Stability 9/11 AC 17, T 14, FF 13 // Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +0 (+2 vs enchantment)// CMD 15 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7

Yeahh...I was totally going to kick open the door and stab him first. But whatever. Maybe Gibbs opened the door once he heard you picking it.

My bad - apologies - I saw the word 'open' and jumped to it cause it was dramatically cool. Will be more careful next time.

Inactive

Obviously I know that Lament didn't intend to actually open the door after popping the lock, but all Elidal knows is that her small friend got a bit hasty ;)

New opportunity for journal entries

Working the night shift + have our tabletop game tomorrow but I'll try and get something written up within the next day or two.

F Halfling N Dirge Bard 2 AC 19, T 14, FF 16 // Fort +2, Ref +7, Will +4(+7) // Stability 14/[15] // CMD 12 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7 (+1) // HP 17/(17)/[17] // BP 7/7

Guys...I just can't keep up with my games due to my current work load. When I get home, I just don't have any creativity in me. I should probably withdraw to keep from bogging the game down.

HP 23/(25)/[25]; Disrupt Undead 1/1; Stability 9/11 AC 17, T 14, FF 13 // Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +0 (+2 vs enchantment)// CMD 15 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7

I'm beginning to feel like that myself. Not that I can't keep up necessarily, but that my posts have been getting shorter and less creative in all my games.

I'd be sad to see you go, but if that's what's best for you, do it.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

bummer. maybe we can put you in the background like Vigilance was (without killing you off hopefully ; ) ) so maybe you can return if things slow down. I really enjoyed Lament.

we've still got 4 to carry on for now. so I think we're good for the interim.

Inactive

I hate to see you go but you have to do what you have to do to reduce stress and get your rest. I agree with Jaru, I'd be happy to keep Lament around as an NPC in case you're able and want to come back at some point. If not, I can go either way in regards to continuing with 4 or getting a 5th.

Some one needs to baby sit a rather depressed and confused Kendra - Lament would fit the bill. I would, however, love to see a return if things so allow later - I'll not kill you off for a while yet, giving you plenty of time to return. It may also be that if the adventure wraps up, that Lament collects her money and goes into semi retirement.

For the rest of you, 4 would seem a good amount to finish this off if you all feel you've the focus for it. Otherwise do you want me to get another player? We'd have to give them one of the faceless villagers that I set up at the outset.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

good idea to have Lament look after Kendra and in character. :)

I'd rather not interrupt things for a recruitment. I think we're still quite capable with our current line up to continue.

Hope you enjoy my little foreshadowing of Trial of the Beast.

HP 23/(25)/[25]; Disrupt Undead 1/1; Stability 9/11 AC 17, T 14, FF 13 // Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +0 (+2 vs enchantment)// CMD 15 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7

We'll be fine with four for now I think. I've got melee covered pretty well, and Jaru has been an excellent cleric so far. That's all this AP really requires in my opinion, anything further is icing on the cake. If we want to grab a 5th when we go to Lepidstadt I'd be down with that.

Maybe they could be a member of a certain wandering performance group that may or may not exist in this reality?

That's too bad Lament. Take a break, and Lament will be waiting for you when you decide to come back....pls come back, I've got a soft spot for our weird little hafling :)

well, I def appreciate a thick layer of icing consisting of Elidal's blade and Simeon's magic and spellcraft. : )

Yar. Not trying to diminish anyone, just saying we have essential functions covered.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

Jaru was built with ghosties in mind. Leipzig Beasts and Lycanthropes will likely be quite a different tale.

Having no prior Pathfinder experience with the majority of the nasties we'll likely run into later, I can't really say how effective Elidal will or won't be at higher (such as they are) levels. If it seems like we'll be fine with the remaining four of us for the later events then I'm happy with that, but I'm also content to add a 5th later if we think we need one or if GM Helaman suggests that we might need a 5th later ;)

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

Jaru is beginning to understand how Father Grimburrow got so crotchety!

I'm not particularly familiar with inquisitors, but I do believe they can bypass some DR which should be really useful.

Bane will be very nice once we get to that point.

:D

A word on future encounters - E6 is a little more forgiving towards the 'high tier' play of E6 than perhaps a standard game where if you haven't picked up the right feats, stats, items etc then by the time you hit 10+ you don't function at the same level as more optimised characters.

You've also likely noticed that this is a pretty item light/treasure light game to date when it comes to permanent items. It will improve but won't ever be magic item heavy. Even with that in mind you'll still be competitive.

Laments hiatus news aside we made some good posting progress.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

yeah, too bad we didn't follow up on this.

Heh, yeah - Thought that may bite you on the bum eventually.

There may well be carrying capacity issues with our Melee expert so its gonna be tough to navigate it. A shortbow and a MW Pack would likely bridge the gap, even with the D6 damage.

Oh and guys, today is not a good day. May not be posting due to work but please don't hold back, as always if I get time I'll put you guys first.

Inactive

No worries, I've been a little under the weather here so that's why it took me a bit to post today. Also it doesn't solve the range issue entirely, but Elidal does have a crossbow as well if she needs it.

HP 23/(25)/[25]; Disrupt Undead 1/1; Stability 9/11 AC 17, T 14, FF 13 // Fort +3, Ref +6, Will +0 (+2 vs enchantment)// CMD 15 // Initiative +4 // Perception +7

I'm going to withdraw from this game. I've been busy enough to be only posting one sentence posts, and I'm finding I enjoy DMing more than playing these days for the most part. Sorry to pull out in the middle, but I'm sure you'll be able to easily recruit a replacement melee character for this well executed game. I just can't give it what the character/game deserves right now. Thanks for the fun, and I hope to see you guys around the boards again someday. Feel free to do whatever you want with Nighteyes.

More sad about this than what I can say...

I can keep running at 3 and have no issues with that but I asking the other players if they are still up for this? If you are then I am good. If the others are thinking of pulling the plug then let me know.

We can make this work for the storyline and give us some recruiting time as you pull back to town.

Simeon Plavini Wizard 5 HP: 28/(32)/[32] AC 16/16/14 Stbl:7/(13) Fort:+2 Ref:+3 Will:+5 Init +3 Perception+1

Sorry to see you go Nighteyes!

I'm in for the long haul. I might slow down a bit at times, but I'm very interested in continuing.

Pharasmin Clr 5 AC:18; hp: 36/38; Saves: fort +6 ref +3 will +7; 1 reroll

ah, Bummer. NE has been a really reliable player. Hope it wasn't my ribbing. I'm also a long-hauler.

I'm confused about the map- is that one rat swarm or four?

Inactive

Hate to see you go Nighteyes, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I don't have any plans to go anywhere.

Great . I'll recruit.

It's one big rat swarm, 3 sq that you can see, on the stairs. There is a seperate one near the cottage.

It just occurs to me. I haven't issued any stability loss or roll for your seeing your dead friend. In fact I've been doing a mediocre job of tracking this.

I want to have another crack at it before turfing the idea. From now I'll use it again and we'll see how it plays moving forward but I suspect it will end up in the trash can.

My computer is d-e-d. I need to look at the map and ranges before I move forward.

The map isn't avail from my phone.

GM Helaman wrote:

I was under the impression that the squares must remain contiguous- a broken up swarm is no longer a swarm. Looking over the rules it says 'usually remains in contiguous squares'. I always run them contiguous as it's more fair to the players.

Grand Lodge

Gimme a bit to get access to the map and I'll explain it better Or reposition them but you should be able to see two sets of rats. One on the stairs and another and smaller, separate near the cottage

Still here, just waiting to see what happens with the flask of alchemist's fire before doing anything else :)

Yeah, my bad - IT will fix the computer today.. On the upside? I think I have another player - mate of mine.

No worries; weekends tend to be sluggish anyway. Looking forward to meeting our new player(s) :)
