Vai tries to let some of her happiness affect him, moving a little closer and saying: "Listen Adon... I don't really know you all that well, but you have a wonderful way with the blade. It was almost like duelling Sadie, when I fought you, even with all the tricks I pulled out. I don't think you need to be jealous... you have an incredible talent there." she pauses. Or better yet-- learn how to move it so that /you/ aren't the connection to the bad results. Perhaps, an object, something near you.
