"Well at least some recognizes that. Everyone assumes that I was just bless with my musical talent. Just because I'm muse-born. Then there all like. He deepens his voice to a deeper condescending voice. ""You must be a master of inspiring people with your songs." It gets so old and then they look at me like I'm a failure because I can't inspire anyone with my music. It's not like I haven't tried learning how to do it, but it just seems beyond me. I know the song, it sounds great, but it just doesn't work." His voice seems half angry and half way on the verge of tears.
"Ah, well .. perhaps one of the healers here can assist you, if you are concerned with appearances. People with masks, I do not relate well too."

he slips the mask slightly to one side with his non-filled gloved hand revealing an expanse of grey-white doughy flesh...

Lang sitting in his classroom trying to get back into his studies soon finds himself just doodling on some paper.
before he realizes it he has a simple sketch if Ignace in front of him.
realizing what he has drawn he looks around to see if anyone else saw it. he folds it up and tucks it away before anyone sees.
lang just can't seem to concentrate on his work. placing his head on his desk he just lets out a sigh and waits for class to begin.
Jaiye's mind was whirring. Pointed out? Who pointed it out? Oh, please, not HER....maybe it was Tyrrin. SHe wouldn't do it on purpose, but if she had an argument with her brother it might have slipped out....that was at least a less humiliating possibility.
"Ehos, I....this is hard to say," she said, wiping away a tear that just wouldn't be held in. "I've liked you for a long time. I know......I know you've never really looked at me that way, and now there's that other girl and it's pretty obvious you like her, and I'm trying to be good, but I'm really bad at it. And it doesn't seem fair to ask me to tell you why I like you, but I guess things can't get much worse," she added, more tears starting to follow the first one. "I like you because you're kind and smart and brave and it doesn't exactly hurt that you're also handsome. I know I'm not any of those things and that I don't even compare to....well, I just don't compare. But I can't help how I feel."

Ehos is really bad at dealing with crying girls... and this time is no different. As Jaiye gushes, Ehos sits there stunned. Brave? When had he ever been brave?!
Gods did he want to say something. The datapad suddenly seemed impotent and lame. It could never convey everything he wanted to say. His eyes were being opened. She felt this strongly, it was moving something in him. He couldn't stand watching her cry. He moves to wrap his arms around her, not thinking anymore. Life was better when you didn't overthink it. His hand cups her cheek, brushing away a tear with the same gesture. A finger brushes her furry ear. He frees his other hand momentarily to pull the scarf down around his neck, and passionately kisses her, right on the mouth. The datapad is left forgotten on the couch.

And with that he was gone from school air space.

The way it felt when his hand brused against the fur on her ear and the gentleness of his hand on her cheek. And if it turned out not to be, then she'd deal with that later. Right this moment things had somehow gone from as bad as they get to as good as they could possibly get. And kissing Ehos was actually somehow even better than she'd always imagined it would be. Thinking....thinking was something that was going to have to wait until later.

Upon a moment more of thought, she asks, "Secrets are .. both dangerous and informing. Which one do you prefer better?"
She plops another sushi thing into her mouth, chews it with mouth shut, her dark eyes are basically looking straight at Renkai's eyes, focused on him while conversing.

Renkai stares back into Anahita's eyes... never blinking
There's a moment, while Anahita does peer at Renkai, or rather, after a few moments, that she takes in a deep breath and then looks off, plopping another thing into her mouth to eat, and chew.
"So many unique beings here, don't you agree? So many stories to listen too. Rich with details and intricate fantasies, along with dangerous and mysterious wonder. I find it quite ..surreal."
She then picks up another one, glances over sideways to Renkai, and chews.
"Are you human, or some other creature that assumes the form of such?"
"I agree, yet some stories are better left unheard..."
"Yes" Renkai says as soon as Anahita says human... "Gods I Hate Assumptions...."

The kiss does actually end, though it seems like it goes on forever, every moment a new experience for Ehos. Jaiye was just rough enough to be exciting, without causing pain. Ehos pulls away gently, nibbling on her lower lip as he breaks the kiss.
Jaiye can see a smile on Ehos' face just as he replaces the scarf around his face, and his eyes have that twinkle that tell her he's happy. 'Whoa.' the datapad flashes back to life, though Ehos has yet to pick it up or break eye contact. He brushes away any remaining tears, his other arm still resting on the small of her back.
"Alright Adon" Dom cast a spell and look over Adon. "Your magical aura seems to... not be there. I haven't ever seen such a thing." Dom sitting forward now looks intently. "What are you? Are you some sort of strange race I haven't heard of, or were you the out come of an experiment. I'm confused by this. It... It... It's in conceivable!

There's a light frown on Anahita's features as she sees Renkai's reaction after she says, 'human'.
She goes quiet and pauses in her eating of the sushi snacks. Then after a few moments, she proceeds again. Plop. Chew. Pause.
"...did I offend?"
"That is another reason I must cloak my face... people believe I am a Doppleganger. And they treat me as such!" A slight tilt of her head to the side, then she's off looking again. She does not appear to give the pebble any specific attention.
"Well, if that is your fear, so be it. I would advise, as I did earlier, to learn to overcome it. It is a self-imposed barrier, after all. A mask." She chomps down on yet another sushi thing, nearly done with them at this point.
Her attention is off to the lake, and around, with the occasional glance back when or if Renkai speaks.
Renkai bows as he stands.... "one day I may take your advice....but the mask shall stay until I deem the others at this place trustworthy..." He lightly places the pebble on the ground... "your optimism is quite refreshing...before I spoke with you I was angry... I no longer am... I thank you, you are very unique..."
Renkai starts toward the building
Watching Renkai walk off, Anahita gives a slight bow, apparently, in acknowledgement of his last comment.
She looks at the pebble, but does not touch it, considering the shine and such, before grabbing yet another sushi piece to eat, chew and swallow.

Having finished up her lunch, she rose up with the tray and her remaining waste, heading back into the cafeteria.

Anahita. Rolling and landing Johnny get up, and says.
"Sorry did not..."
A snow ball hits s/he in the fact. Grinning like a child s/he runs off saying
"You will pay for that!!"

She was trying to memorize every sensation in case this was the only time this ever happened. But....well....he was smiling....he looked happy.....maybe......maybe there might be some slight chance he liked her back? At least a little?
When Johnny came by, catching a snowball in her/his face, Anahita appeared to pause and consider their antics. After a slight frown, then losing the frown, she continued on into the Cafeteria, throwing out her trash.
She looks around the Cafeteria and considers her options, glancing at whomever else might be in there, before making a choice.
"Ok now for something else." He moves over to the lakeside. He focusses for a while. A giant curving slide curls up from the water. "I can hold it if I concentrate but you better get on it before I loose focus and it melts"

"yep... the odd thing is, I'm totally human. I can do almost no magic, and those that i can that get harder every day. Iv'e trained as a mage since was 4, and i have this to show for it." he floats a pencil, with mage hand. "I was born to a cleric of nethus and an archmage, so what do you think my expectations were? only recently did we realize progress was near impossible, and getting harder. i just gave up and trained as a swordsman, witch i somehow had a great natural talent for."

dave slides on the slide "I have no idea why that was fun when I can fly way faster than that, but it was so go figure" when he hears Johnny's statement about luch being almost over he says "oh crud, I nearly forgot about Raelle, and also food uh ill see you guys later" he pulls out his pocket watch on the way over and sighs as he finds that Johnny was overestimating, and that there was nerely a half hour left. He goes to find Raelle, using the arrows if nessairy.

At the top Johnny jumping and s/he flys up some 300' more using his affecter's then just as s/he starts to fall, there is a sliver flash, a woosh, a boom and Johnny is gone.

Raelle on the other hand has laid her head on the table and has barely touched her food at all.

Tyrrin was headed to the cafeteria with some purpose. She was hungry, the morning had been busy and the afternoon and evening looked to be about the same. She was hurrying to get lunch before heading to the observatory, didn't want to leave Ghalen waiting too long.
Ghalen spots Tyrrin as she rounds a corner, the arrows leading him to her. "Good afternoon Mr. Kiln," she intones as he approaches. "Your morning was productive I trust?"
Ardiente was the first to arrive in the training room, finding it locked, but it opened for him. Hm. Must be somehow keyed to him. He enters, and sits cross-legged in the center of the room. The mornings exertions in both Flight Training and Evocation had helped to calm him, but he was still trying to ignore it. Being in this room was a firm reminder.
She sighed, perfectly content. When he stroked her ears her tail wagged. She was too happy to even try to stop it. It couldn't last. Good things never did. But she would never forget this. It was only a matter of time before he came to his senses and realized he could do a lot better than her, but until then....until then, maybe it was okay to just be happy.
Ehos eventually stops the stroking. While it might've seemed absent minded, he was perfect aware of every hair in every stroke, was focusing on it. See? Thinking was overrated, whatever Tyrrin might say. Still... they should talk. He gently pushes her off, grabbing the datapad. 'I told you you were beautiful. Didn't think you were going to make me prove it.' Ehos displayed as he picked up the datapad.
