"And thanks for keeping her out of trouble today. She's like a magnet for it," he added with a grin.
"Of course. Isn't that what family is for?" Ardiente says with a smile before taking off for the cafeteria at a dead run - the stone bends to send him even faster, and gouts of flame spouting from his feet further increase his speed.

He tried to answer her question and assure her that in spite of the redness of his face he was prefectly fine, but somehow he ended up blurting out, "You're very beautiful," instead, which didn't help decrease the redness of his face in the slightest.
Rena is innocent, I swear! ;D
It was Rena's turn to blush, and once again her heart did that strange fluttery thing. She went to nuzzle the boy affectionately - as she had done many time in her old form - though the maneuver had a slightly different effect as a humanoid. Plus, her instincts told her that she should kiss him on the cheek instead, and she does just that... right before Dom cuts in. "Thank you, Bradley." she says before pulling away... practically whispering in his ear at that point.
Rena can't keep that radiant smile off of her face as she pulls back slightly, and nods to Dom. "Let's go. Does anyone else need help walking? I have two arms, after all."
So is Bradley...this may be part of the problem, ;P
The other students snickered a little, but nobody else took Rena up on her offer of assistance.
Bradley meanwhile had been rendered completely incapable of speech by the kiss on his cheek.

The cafeteria is full of students. The first thing he sees is the temporary medical facility. It seems to be running fairly smoothly at the moment. On the other side of the cafeteria people were mostly milling about. It looked like some folks were passing out drinks in this area, Raelle among them. When she turned and saw him she handed her tray to someone else and he was soon the recipient of a surprisingly fierce hug.
"I am so happy to see you," she said, blinking back tears. She hadn't even realized that she'd been worried until he walked in.

There were three separate blasts of necromantic energy, all originating in this room, but they didn't seem to originate from a person in this room. Perhaps some sort of scroll or something like that?
Yrrin Lightbringer
"huh" grim relays this to the paladin "I'm not sure how to track from that, maybe find the remainder of the scroll?"
"Scroll? someone did this with a scroll? hmmmm... with a fragment of the scroll, even a tiny sliver of the paper I could locate the person who used it..." Yrrin thinks out loud
Midori Tsuyomi
"Carl-san, do you know where we were attacked and how many were our casualties?" Midori asks seriously, still occasionally sipping at the fizzy drink she had been offered. It's just a little disturbing to hear a girl no older than 11 or 12 speak in such straight terms regarding violence.

"You're happy to see me?" Ardiente cried dramatically, pulling her in tight for the hug. Strong, well-trained muscles abound. It was difficult for him to conceal his emotion at seeing her safe and sound, but he does at least manage to not start tearing up himself. "I wasn't even on the school grounds when it happened! "It got a little dicey there for a while when Vai got mind-controlled and started attacking us, but thankfully we're all okay now," she said, not moving to end the hug. It was...nice being worried about.

Ardiente also isn't moving to break away at all. He had been about to say that Vai didn't exactly seem like a fighter, but then he remembered both the time they had fought the masked man.... and also that she is a dragon. Well, so was he, at least in part.
"You're not hurt are you? I could use my bending..." he offers, though the hesitation in his voice was quite plain - he didn't want Raelle to misinterpret him, even if the way he was holding her was probably more than just friendship. Nothing inappropriate, but this hug was definitely just a little too tender on Ardiente's part to be completely innocent.

The other students snickered a little, but nobody else took Rena up on her offer of assistance.
Bradley meanwhile had been rendered completely incapable of speech by the kiss on his cheek.
Rena leads the way towards the cafeteria as the lights come back on - not that it mattered much either way to Rena, as she could see decently well even in the dark.
Once inside, she looks around, still next to Bradley - and honestly pressed closer than was strictly necessary for supporting him. Bradley can feel that, despite Rena's appearance, her body has a great deal of coiled strength laying inside it.
Rena's getting more than a few glances given her beauty and dress - though she doesn't seem to notice anything out of the ordinary. As she helps Bradley get settled and comfortable, she spots Tryko'Sam across the room speaking to a girl with ears and a tail. She gives him a wave - forgetting entirely that he would not know her in this form - and sits down next to Bradley. Even though she's no longer supporting him, she's still pressed up against him, savouring every sensation this new body was offering her.

Ardiente returns the smile, looking down fondly at Raelle. After a moment of locked eyes, he slowly breaks the hug, releasing her from his arms. He almost convinced himself there that Raelle might have actually liked him, but that was only his imagination. She was just a friend, relieved that he had not been caught up in the deadly attack, and he shouldn't let his fantasies get carried away and ruin such a wonderful friendship.
"Good, I'll have to give Mel my thanks later." Ardiente says, perhaps just a little too awkwardly, but he's scanning the room again. "Were there any Firebirds injured? I feel a little useless right now - fixing isn't exactly my specialty."

Via the link to Grim Sr., Grim Jr. gets the following...
Grim Sr. "Son! How's that school treating you? You meeting some nice girls? Going to make me proud? Are you going to be bringing any cute girls over to meet us one day? Oh-- serious business? Just like your Mother, alright... going official. "
There's a light pause and then he replies, "Unknown, boy-- cloaked or something, but you're a bright one, you can figure that out with Time, maybe with some other help-- not something I can help you with directly, part of my station and well, if I did pry harder, that might disrupt some delicate balances in place, you'll learn in time what that means, I'm ...sure."
Then, once the second question is asked, Grim Sr. says, "Same reason as the first answer, son. There are rules even I have to abide by... sorry, but don't worry! Once you take over the job (when that happens), you'll get a full understanding of all the troubles I'm going through-- be sure you have a good woman with you though, son. That helps quite a bit. er.. right..."
Another pause and on the last question, Grim Sr. says, "Indeed! One and the same."
Then there's the waiting ... Grim Jr. will realize the connection is slowly waning away. He'll also realize that his Father is subtly conveying that he is both busy and proud of Grim Jr.

Phaezeriel
Vai shakes her head fiercely and immediately - before Phaeze is even finished with his apology - wraps the demon in a hug. Her thoughts are full of love for her friend, and her blonde hair pretty much engulfs his demonic face. ::Phaeze, everything is fine now. You had to do what you could to help, don't worry. I'm fine now. I'm very glad that I broke free when I did, because I could feel her beckoning me to follow her... I don't know what would have happened to me if I hadn't broken free when I did. But I did, and that's what matters, alright? Come on, Fei needs your help with the wounded. Let's undo what... I did.::
Phaezeriel returns the hug fiercely, ::I am very glad you broke free as well. If she had taken you...:: His thoughts shrink back from contact with Vai, but not before she catches a hint of extremely strong emotions roiling in them.
He takes a deep breath and steps back, releasing her embrace, ::You are right, though, there is much work to be done right now. But, despite the fact that this was a version of you from another time stream? It. Was. Not. You. You are who you are because of your experiences and the choices you have made. That other Vai is as different a person from you as I am. Perhaps not on the physical level, but when it comes to what is inside,:: Phaezeriel taps the side of his head, ::the two of you could not be more different from each other. On this, I am absolutely certain. I could switch minds with you, and you would be in this body,:: he taps himself in the middle of his chest, ::and you would still be Vai. You would not be Phaezeriel. And I would not be you simply because I was living in your body.::
Tryko'Sam
Glancing over as the fairly sensual and sexy angel girl waved at him, Tryko'Sam gave her a slight grin and a wave, then said quietly to Jaiye, "Huh... that's new... someone actually waved to me first."
He might be speaking aloud, or trying to include Jaiye, it's not too clear.
Glancing around though further, he spots familiar faces and raises a hand while calling out, "Hey, Ari--..." then lighter under his breath, "something something... can't ever remember his name properly. Crap."
As more people familiar to him show up, he nods and waves as well, spotting Vai with some fellow, along with various other assembled folk.
Leaning slightly to 'whisper' further to Jaiye, he asks /very/ quietly, "Do any of these folks ...seem, off to you? maybe overly nervous or jumpy? What if one of these people are actually in on this attack?"
That part, clearly, sounded intentional to Jaiye, and is she were sensitive to differences in voice patterns, for a moment there, he sounded serious and 'business like' versus the casual 'goof' from just earlier.

Meanwhile various other staff who were off duty in their rooms are finally gathering as well, apparently not /every/ nurse or medic was blown to bits and turned into a zombie a few times in the infirmary, continuing their best to help where able.

As wounds are healed, the dead raised (that can be), and people begin to find their loved ones, the mood in the makeshift Infirmary finally begins to improve.
Fei is able to console his own sense of loss with the truth that, even after such a savage and heartless attack, they will rebuild, that they will renew. The school - their home - may have been broken, but they were not. That...is a most encouraging thought. (^-^)
Vare, the Summoner
Finally, Vare is able to find his way to the cafeteria. In the robed and scruffy-haired man comes, and he has an entourage now. He is flanked by a pair of Astral Devas - angels which almost match Rena for beauty (though there is a male and a female), and following behind is a creature of great power - a white-scaled Draconal, one of the most powerful good-aligned outsiders. Immediately, the Devas begin treating the wounded, expending their healing abilities to lend aid to the nurses who are struggling without the infirmary's stock of supplies.
The Draconal almost moves with a measured grace, tending to those who are worst off - even ressurrecting those dead he is able to.
Any fiendish students (or other like creatures) earn a glare from the Draconal, but she does not attack, instead focusing on healing the hurt and wounded.
Vare himself finds a quiet corner to sit down, and begins to summon lesser beings - smaller, less powerful Archons, Angels, Agathions, and Azata - any he has the power to bring forth with healing abilities, to aid the beleagered medical staff.
Soon, there is a veritible army of Good-aligned outsiders present in the makeshift infirmary. The concentration this is taking for the Conjuration Professor is almost palpable surrounding him. He's sweating and straining every fibre of his being to maintain the connections these Outsiders have to the material plane. Oddly though, only the Draconal seems to be acting of it's own free will.

"But I have the potential to be that. That's how I would have... That would be me, if you hadn't rescued me Phaeze. At least... I think that's how it works." Vai says passionately, and then glances over at the spectacle the Conjuration Professor had brought forth.
The Draconal had given Phaezeriel the evil eye (hah), but has not yet attempt to do anything to him. Phaezeriel knows that such a creature cannot be bound with a Summoning spell - it would have to be Called, likely through a Planar Binding/Ally or Gate spell.
"Are you alright?" Vai lowers her voice, her own troubles forgotten for the moment, remembering Phaeze's reaction to Roland so many months ago.

Ardiente does glance over at Tryko'Sam voice and raised hand, and rairsed his own hand in a similar gesture... what was that guy's name again?
He doesn't go over yet though, staying near Raelle for the moment (and awaiting her response).

Grim Sr. Pauses and then says, "What? That's not a question, Grim. Come on now... We're doing this official and I have other things to get too, what are you asking- these questions need to be simple."
He does sound as though he is busy or distracted, but the line is still open, as it were.

Phaezeriel grins at Vai; a slightly disturbing sight for those who do not know him, ::Potential Schmotential. You choose not to be her every day, just like I choose not to be an evil, corrupting, Demon every day. Every person has the potential for good and for evil in them. It is the choices we make that cause one potential or the other to come into being.::
A flick of the eyelids and a slight turning of his head is all the sign he gives that he notices the Draconal. ::I am fine. Hopefully he will not let what he thinks he knows about all Demons cause problems here.::

He's quiet and says, "Lets wrap this up, I've got to go, bunch of dead people are being raised in a hot spot and something major is happening, Grim. Keep it quick please."
Anahita bint Tariq
The creatures of the non-civilized lands kept things simple, hunt, eat and sleep. Wake up in the morning, repeat the cycle, when the time was right and they were social, gather and so on and so forth.
Oddly enough though, with the recent awareness and awakening from her week long 'struggle' within the private demi-plane, another more profound intellectual understanding quietly worked to put more order to her already, in her mind, simple routines. Oddly enough, she liked it, as if it was akin to her blood and soul as drawing breath, or running through the woods naked in a cool summer's night. She knew she liked it, and more importantly, she realized she was born into this.
When she woke the next day, having left the school that week day evening for the forest, she tried to put behind her all the thoughts and concerns that were so neatly organized in her head; Bradley and Vare atop the list, wanting to follow up with Jaiye to see how she and Ehos were doing, and then various other minor topics that she would remember, unless she just lost interest. The damnable issue though, was that she /was/ growing more interested... the school was turning into a puzzle in her mind, and similar to the intelligent monkeys of the jungle, she felt she was growing more and more intrigued with the puzzle and it's setting, wanting to grow and adapt into it, to surmount to the top and cry out, somehow, that she'd 'done it'.
Thankfully, those thoughts soon faded once in the greens of the forest, the cool and dark avenues of thick trees and bushes. Her lithe form moved through the foliage without a touch on the flora and nay a trace of step either for anyone to follow. This was her domain, not the halls, not the stone wrought (or whatever else man made constructions they were) walls of the school.
Evening came and went, her interactions with the fauna went smoothly, she mingled with the various cultures and species and gleefully played with the little ones born recently. Her connection to the Green here, on this world, was building stronger. She was starting to hear the unified song of this world's population without the din of technology. A small part of her mind, still, yearned for that din... but it was easily subdued.
When morning's light woke her, she'd found a place among some tall tree branches, stretching awake and then sitting in lotus position to dwell on the beauty and serenity of the Green, attuning herself once more to it's majestic presence.
>> Soon, this will be my home. <<
When she opened her eyes, however, she was elsewhere. For just a moment, her heart ached with the fear that, yet again, she'd been snatched and moved by beings more powerful than her, and a taste of anger and bile rose up from within.
Glancing about, it was still the place she'd started her meditations, but yet, much much more and not. Her senses strained to find out who might be around, and a wash of sensory feedback overwhelming her was returned. When she blinked her attention back into focus, she was bewildered by the sheer intensity of what she'd just perceived.

As Dom and the other walked in to the cafeteria he realized how much worse things were. The first thing he noticed was the number of injured then the army of angels. He looked over the room annoyed that some many angels came to the aid of these people yet wouldn't even send a message to there families.
As the angels rushed past Dom it became much more obvious of Dom's heritage. His facial features mimicked the angels, his body build matched many of his kin, even a the slight shine of the angels eyes could be seen in his own.
Dom turned his head away from the sight of all the angels. Slowly he walked back toward the halls but something caught his attention. Something much more important than the angels. There Tami was she was covered in blood but alive. He rushed toward her. "Tami! What happened!? Whose blood is this?" He looked her over to see if she had any injuries before wrapping his arms around her.
It seems Dom hadn't noticed but tears have started to roll down his face.

Anahita merely blinked a few times, straining to find the center of the voice speaking, and failing, though-- after a few more moments, it seemed to come from in front of her, perhaps the branch of the tree. This was... new.
"So, hi there, like, oh my and all that-- /so/ happy to see you, you're exactly who I was looking for and, like, yes! Hi. Perfect. No kids yet too, that's awesome sauce! We're going to get along GREAT! Uh... what did I do last time, I forgot. Hee!"
Without a figure to directly speak with, Anahita replied to the tree branch, though in between the words heard or spoken, it did seem to shift ever so much from one little branch to another leaf, without reason. "Who is this that speaks to me? is this the spirit of Agartha?"
The young teen's response was, "HA! No no, sweetie, anything but. I'm your newest, bestest friend. You and me, we have SOOOO much in common. The things you value, the things I value and want-- so, how about it? Let me help /you/ and in return, you go out there, crank out what's important (which you probably will anyway, you know?) and we both profit-- it's practically a win win, right? OH, and honey, we are going to be doing ... well, you, soooo much fun things, I /promise/ you, it will be rave after rave, and orgy after orgy, plus all the traveling and fun things!"
While the voice certainly sounded content and happy, Anahita had a moment or two of doubt which voiced as, "Parts of what you say, are clear, the rest-- I do not understand."
There was a minor pause and then the seemed to not realize that it's personal dialogue was over heard, or spoken aloud, "Sheesh, didn't realize she was such a dunce-- okay, small words, need to lay off the happy sauce a bit."
Anahita blinked at that, though said nothing, while still waiting.
"Okay, like, I'm back-- I'll go slower. You, working /for me, as a champion of life. Yes, right? I mean, this time-- you have a choice, I mean, you're practically built for this, nice work I might add! I'll have to visit that sexy insane guy, he always has the best parties and ... ooop, right, sorry, keep it slow and simple. Where were we? Oh right..." The voice took a moment to inhale and then speak again.
"Me, Jivana. You, Anahita, my chosen. You, perfect and room to grow! Plus sexy, beautiful, filled with smarts and strength. Mmm... might have to take a sample one -- er.. I, in return, if you say yes, work with you, guide and steer you, to what you'd be doing anyways. So, like, this is totally your thing, honey. The travel package /alone/ is ah-may-ZING! People are going to LOVE you-- and you will Luuuuuve them, lots. I mean, it go love, lots. I want to see kids, many kids." She was infectiously positive, in her manner, and seemingly high on life.
Anahita paused to think and asked, "You are seeking me to accept being a champion of life? I, do this, normally-- I do not see the point of this."
Jivana replied with a laugh and then, "Okay-- stubborn, thick headed, so lovely, so gorgeous. So that's a yes? You want to be the champion of life? I've already picked you, it's just a yes or no, as simple as you can make it. Whatcha say honey? Don't make me sad and go find someone less suited-- well, don't make me waste the time finding someone else, this is a /great/ opportunity, think of how it'll look on your resume! Men and women of all species will ~adore~ you, I know I will. Honest, can't lose here. Yes or no, Ana-honey, whatcha say?"
Even with the apparent impatience, unless Anahita was imagining it, it seemed as thought a choice that clearly she was already doing. Considering that she, logically, already was a champion for life, in her manner, since that was all she ...it was then she realized again, too much thinking /might/ be the bane of this situation. She took a moment and steeled herself, "I will accept, as long as it does not affect the ties I have already with existence."
Jivana squealed a bit, much like a valley girl from some valley in a state on the western shore of a country elsewhere, hyper responding with, "Ohmyohmyohmy-- Yesyesyes! I love you-- you said yes, that's perfect! Woooo! No affecting ties, honey, promise. So, yes? I /swear/ to you, you are both perfect, and just built right to do this, so help me ... I dunno, everything that lives."
Anahita sat there a moment longer and then said simple, "Very well, I accept. Yes."
There was another clap of delight, and squeal of joy, and then silence. "Okay-- lemme see, how this works, uh... slowly, yes, slowly and then, just like sex... climax!"
The area they were in, went silent, and slowly, Anahita could hear the sounds of life around her. Then, more and more, life mingling from sources unseen, growing progressively stronger and louder, all the while in the background, Jivana seemingly saying, "Oh, and this .. oh, and these, and over here... yes yes... woo!" during the process. It continued, to the point that the process started to fill her mind, overwhelming her with the sheer infinite myriad of different sounds; heartbeats, breathing and sensations. As it did build up, more and more, into the sound of a beat, rhythmic and strong, she opened her eyes with tears flowing through at the mind numbing intensity of sensations and ... promptly passed out.
In her mind, she heard a voice, though knew she was not awake saying, "Nearly done! Oh, you're going to LOVE this! Weeeee! So am I, so am I! Hee hee!" Anahita twitched a few times, falling from her seated position in the tree, off, and down to the floor of the forest, alive and healthy, overwhelmed from the tapping into something so intense.
It was nearly an hour later, undisturbed, as the various plants and grass around her blossomed and bloomed fiercely by her presence, that Anahita stirred awake. Fully rested, healthy, and fully aware of being attached to something, much greater than herself. For just a minor moment, she felt a dread. Quietly, she asked in her mind, >> what have I done? <<
Without warning, Jivana's voice came back, >> Go! Babies-- make 'em, and uh-- yeah! Crush things that stop life. Weeee! I'll be back, big party to get too, call me! <<
Anahita simply blinked a few more times, studied the growth around her and how things were so flush with life, and stood up. No bruises or wounds from the fall, and she felt completely rested and healthy. Turning and peering around, she returned to her meditation pose and completed what she'd started earlier, noting that nearly no time had passed from the interruption...
