You get a good rest and, despite Horgus's nagging, prepare to leave. Lann accompanies you part way as a guide and prepares you for the first area. From the hamlet of Neathholm, the tunnel winds mostly in a southeast direction for about 2,000 feet. The tunnel narrows down at this point to a 5-foot-wide passageway, the walls carved with picks and chisels. You are now very close to the entrance to the traitors’ den. Lann informs you that the narrow passage will open into a guardpost. Barricades made of heaped loose rocks and wooden boards bisect this cavern. Beyond the barricades, a wooden screen covers the lower half of a tunnel mouth.

"I can cast Protection from Evil on someone right before they go in - try and defend you pretty well as we break in." Efin offered. "I could try to sicken any guards, too, right before you rush 'em."

"Well I'm no good at sneaking around, so a quick rush is the best I can suggest. "
"I'll rush in with you." Kel said drawing his shield and his new morningstar.

"I generally prefer a careful, stealthy approach when dealing with those tainted by demons... but that armor is pretty clanky. They'd probably hear us from far away. I'll go with whatever plan you prefer."
Kaval made a few quick gestures and said a brief arcane phrase before his tongue reached up and touched his forehead, causing a shimmering field of force to ripple down his body. "All set!"

You are twenty feet from the barrier. It provides cover for the enemy, but because it is stepped on their side and flat with a slight slope on your side, it does not provide cover for you from their attacks. Climbing over the barrier is a full round action that provokes AoOs. It is a DC 25 Acrobatics check to jump over the barrier as part of a move. Efin, Kaval and Kel get a chance to act while the Mongrelemen are flat footed.

"Hold on a sec. I'm going to clear that barricade..." Kel said right before they made their rush.
If Efin and Kaval delay until my initiative, I'll Shatter the barrier and move in with them (or move next round if this is a surprise round).

After just a moment of thought, Efin reached out and whacked Dennis' weapon with the back of her hand, infusing it with a burst of holy energy to make it nice and lethal to anyone who followed the ways of evil.

Kel stuck his head around the corner and made a crushing motion with his hand. His otherworldly eyes smoked. The barricade creaked and warped...
Shatter on the barricade, effecting a 20 pound chunk of it. I'll aim for where I think the support brackets are. It might get a saving throw (will, of all things). DC is 16

Does a climb speed help speed up climbing over the barricade?
After seeing Kel hesitate, Kaval darted forward and attempted to leap over the barricade.

He didn't quite clear it, but he grabbed hold and began to clamber over the top.

Efin blesses Dennis's weapon. Kaval moves to the barricade and climbs to the top. As he extends his hands, waves of flame engulf three of the guards before they even realize they are under attack.

Kel moves to the barricade and (you still have a standard action and can attack one of the three that Kaval burned)...

Three of the them move to attack Kaval on top of the barricade while the other two attack Kel.

Not sure what this would be. I'm basically trying to give anyone who wants to the ability to run up my back and over the barricade.
New round, I'll go full defensive while kneeling to give anyone who wants to the chance to use me as a step ladder.

Fort DC 14 negates. Otherwise, lasts 1 round and reduces their base speed by half.

Dennis drops one of the wounded guardsmen. Kaval hits the other one once. Shimmer moves up to the barrier and begins to climb over (you can get over with a move action next round, but it will provoke an AoO). Efin causes one of the uninjured to cramp up.
