"I think not, crone. It is you who will die here, but do not worry. Your magic will not go to waste and you will be reunited with your sisters. If only you had honored the customs of our people. Magic, power, life-unending -- none of these justify your actions. You were once one of us, daughter of the Lost. But then if you were fit for society, then you would not have been driven into the mountains."
Niyut shouts back, trusting in the darkness to keep her hidden from the crone.
Gruskorb
Completely unsuspecting of the giant's ambush, the rogue was only able to pull back at the last second to prevent a coup de grace. He felt the blood trickle down his neck as a large gash in his chest wept crimson profusely.
With a feint, Gruskorb made his escape - or so he hoped - retreating back into the mist. He stumbled over the snow, the concealment enveloping him for perhaps the last time. This was more than we could handle... not that we would have known ...
He profused hope for his comrades even as it faded for himself.
Withdraw.

The wolf's attack actually misses this round. With barkskin Truk's AC is 26 vs the first three attacks per round.
Barely fending the giant wolf's fangs off this time, Truk'tosh pours the whole of his strength into cutting the beast down for good.

Gruskorb scrambles back into the mist desperate to get away from the ice giant. Having felt the worg's teeth fail to puncture his hardened flesh, Truk'tosh takes a mighty swing of Morgrym's Axe slicing the beast's throat and nearly decapitating it. With a whimper, the worg collapses into the snow staining it crimson. As the blood flows out upon the snow, Truk'tosh sees two ethereal essences coalesce and begin to float away.
Due to the obscuring mist, only Truk'tosh is aware of the essences.

Could Garidan see the giant before it dropped into the pit?
Between Gruskorb's shouts and the noise the giant makes, you would be aware that some other creature is harassing your friends on the other side of the mist. You wouldn't have seen him, nor has anyone shouted that a giant is there. Malthazir is quite aware of the giant, and you can see that he is concerned with something.
Garidan Vissir
Double move action two squares diagonally up-right, one square right, and two more squares diagonally up-right.
With the wolf seen off, Garidan contemplates his next course of action. "I heard howling from that mist, and a lot more noise as well, including what sounded like Gruskorb shouting. But I'm not eager to go charging in there," the swashbuckler says, more to himself than anyone else, a wary gaze settled on the mist not too far away. The comment prompts a response from his sister, however. "I'm not sure how it's possible, but I can sense pretty far into that mist, and all I'm sensing are Tacal and Truk'tosh. Tacal is... floating, in mid air? Hmmm, odd. And Truk'tosh seems to be fine as well, as best as I can make out with this odd ability."
Garidan purses his lips in a thoughtful expression, then shrugs puts aside the matter of his sister revealing yet another unusual, albeit useful, ability. "Right then. Since there doesn't appear to be any reason for me to go charging into that mess, I'll go around. It'll be hard enough moving across this mess when I can see it properly," he concludes with a disgruntled kick at a chunk of snow that promptly disintegrates into a small cloud.
Suiting actions to words, the swashbuckler begins the laborious slog over the snow, weapon in hand and a watchful gaze on his surroundings. He easily makes out half of what appears to be a second wolf hanging out the mist, just as still and silent as the one he faced off with. A murmured question to his sister confirms that Truk'tosh is standing at the beast's head, and Garidan can't suppress a quick smile at the idea that both of those fearsome critters made some fatal misjudgements today. The smile disappears, however, when she tells him that she senses Gruskorb further south, and he's moving in a way that suggest grievous injuries. Unfortunately, the human can do little enough to aid his ally at the moment, so continues onward until the pit in the snow comes into sight.
Huffing slightly from the effort of walking this far, he eyes the pit cautiously; he's familiar enough with Malthazir's work by now to know where that particular addition to the landscape came from, and it's no great leap of intellect to figure out that something unpleasant is most likely crumpled in an unhappy heap at the bottom.

Malthazir
In that case the ice elementals will all double move towards the giant. They will burrow and next turn will come out on the sides of the pit to start attacking the giant.
Niyut
The pit is an extra dimensional space. The elementals cannot burrow through it. "You create a 10-foot-by-10-foot extra-dimensional hole with a depth of 10 feet per two caster levels (maximum 30 feet)." I'm not sure they can even find it except from the top because if they could the extra dimensional space would be displacing a lot of matter. If you want to shoot him like a fish in a barrel then you guys need the angle on him. How tall is this giant? If he is the size of a frost giant then he is 15' tall and about 5' from the lip which should make him easy to see from the lip.
Valjoen_GM
The sides of the pit are made of stone according to the spell description. The giant has Ice Glide just like the elementals and would have burrowed out if possible.
Malthazir
Ah silly me, I forgot extra-dimensional space rules! I forgot that had to add that caveat to prevent shenanigans from happening. The ice elementals will wait at the top than.

With the aid of Malthazir's pet--and Garidan has to work hard not to show his disgust at the residue it leaves in his hair--the swashbuckler takes flight in a spray of snow that quite unintentionally spatters his benefactor. But he doesn't even notice that, his attention focused entirely on the pit and what awaits within. When he finally sees the occupant, Garidan can't help a dismayed groan; a giant is quite the last thing he wanted to deal with, and this one looks quite a bit more capable than the overly large duo the party faced off against on the road to Pyrae. Reminded of that tense fight, Garidan muses to himself as he examines the giant. "On the bright side, no yapping gnolls to deal with. And those wolves must have been with it as well. Good thing we got those mutts put down, the trio working togther might well have been too much for us."
Knowledge check to identify the giant's particular type.
Knowledge (nature) Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Success! However, I can't find ice giant stats anywhere, so I've no idea what the HD and Wis modifier are for the DC of Intimidate checks against it, or BAB to determine the DC of Bluff attempts either (if it doesn't use Sense Motive). If you go with custom or modified creatures, can we get these numbers included with the Knowledge check block for those of using said skills? It'd save time determining the effect of feint and demoralize attempts, especially if there are follow-up attacks dependant on the effect of such attempts.
While his mind automatically goes to work trying to identify this specific variety of giant, Garidian is already lining up his attack. With the giant distracted by its efforts to climb free of the pit, the swashbuckler will likely not get a better opportunity to strike with effect, so he puts his all into the swing that sends a single shard of bone blurring downward into the broad, invitingly-exposed back below. As with his first attack against the wolf, Garidan unconciously feeds the shard a burst of emotion and thought centered around the giant, imbuing the fragment with killer intent that it passes to the target upon impact.
Move action to ascend to an altitude of 20 feet and then move seven squares right. Standard action to attack with his bone shards, at three range increments and with passive Precise Strike and Power Attack. Spending a use of Vital Strike to increase the damage by +6; this is added into the damage roll already. And using Menacing Swordplay to make an Intimdate check to demoralize the giant as a swift action. If the check succeeds, giant is shaken for 1 or more rounds, and suffers the effects of Shatter Defenses as well.
Ranged Attack (Bone Shards) (Critical Threat): 1d20 + 14 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 14 - 4 - 2 = 27
Rapier Damage: 1d8 + 7 + 5 + 4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 5 + 4 + 6 = 24
Vital Strike: 1d8 ⇒ 6
Intimidate (Demoralize) Check): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
Ranged Attack (Bone Shards) (Confirmation): 1d20 + 14 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 14 - 4 - 2 = 22
Rapier Damage (Critical): 1d8 + 7 + 5 + 4 + 6 + 1d4 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 5 + 4 + 6 + (1) + (3) = 27
If the critical hit goes through:
The shard strikes with even greater potency than Garidan could hope for, an unearthly scream ringing out across the snow to herald the horrendous injury left by the fragment before it crumbles to dust.

@Garidan - I'll add the Demoralize DC in the base info for monsters going forward. The Ice Giant is my own creation and is based off the Frost Giants. Demoralize DC is 27.
Garidan makes a frightening display of his swordsmanship, twirling and twisting in the air while he screams and collars curses at the giant. When the boney shards finally slam against the ice giant, they do not do as much as he had hoped seeing their initial penetration. No Crit The giant looks up at the swashbuckler and laughs. In broken common, he shouts back at Garidan, "Coming for little man with little sword. Crush him!"
As much as it concerned the swashbuckler, he knew that with his height, he had the advantage on the giant and feared less. With that, the ice giant climbed from the pit.
@Truk'tosh - last round for your rage, I believe.

Niyut moves as fast as she can, but the snow clings to her moccasins. I miss being in the sky already. I wish that I could soar in the clouds like those daughters of Zamaz, but that is not my birthright.
Double move
Garidan Vissir
With a snort and a particularly rude one-handed pumping gesture from his free hand, the hovering swashbuckler wordlessly lets the giant know what its threat is worth, then points mockingly at the still forms of the wolves with the blade in his other hand. All the while, he's murmuring under his breath to the stone circling his head, and as soon as he finishes speaking, a searing burst of light envelops the giant's form. Almost in the same instant, Garidan snatches a lumpy bag from his harness and hurls it downward.
Swift action to nail the giant with burst of radiance, centered on the giant. He's blinded for 3 rounds, or dazzled for the same duration if he makes a DC 15 Reflex save; he takes the listed damage if he's evil, 3 points of which is fire damage. After that, a move action to retrieve the tanglefoot bag, and standard action to throw it as a ranged touch attack, with a penalty for 2 range increments.
Burst Duration: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Burst Damage: 5d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 3, 4) + 3 = 16
Ranged Touch Attack (Tanglefoot Bag): 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 11 - 2 = 21
If the bag hits:
Upon impact, the bag's material gives and releases its contents in a spray across the giant's body, clinging and sticking to everything it touches. The giant quickly finds its movement impeded by the viscous gunk, adding just a bit more to its current troubles courtesy of 'Ruza's spell.

Gruskorb
Feeling he should do something while preserving himself, Gruskorb nonetheless was unable to let go of his trap, unarmed as it might have been. It almost felt as if he were compelled to hold onto it, to bring it toward his opponent. Though he resisted the latter urge, he had his right hand occupied with it.
That didn't stop his left from fishing a dagger from his belt and hurling it at the giant's neck.
Dagger: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 10 - 4 = 24 (the -4 is from range for a thrown weapon, which I think I'm computing correctly.)
Dagger Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Sneak Attack!: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) = 15
He then slunk back into the mist, not sticking around to check the results of his toss. I see why you like this spell, Querkus.
If the sneak attack is successful, and Gruskorb would've moved appropriately to flank from something in that blender of doom to make it viable, his Debilitating Injury ability will cause the giant to take -2 to AC for 1 round.

@Malthazir - Missed one ice elemental's attacks. I rolled, albeit poorly, for him.
Ruza blasts the ice giant with a radiant burst of light, but the giant has seen this trick before. He avoids being blinded although he feels the burning intensity of the holy light, and when Garidan flings the nasty bag of tar at him, he cannot avoid it. Stuck in place, the elementals attack him with mixed results, but clearly their fire attacks are doing the most lasting damage. Hurling a dagger at the giant, Gruskorb ducks back into the mist, but hears the sound of his dagger plunging deep into the giant, who let out a grunt of surprise when hit.

As the flames of Truk'tosh's invoked sphere melts the ice giants translucent skin, the half-orc readies an attack in the unlikely event that he shall survive the onslaught of elementals.
The ice giant lifts his greataxe and unleashes a flurry of blows upon the elementals. Slicing through the first ice elemental, the creatures shatters into a million flakes of snow. In a single fluid motion, he continues his blow with a sweeping execution of the next ice elemental. The three air elementals fall similarly in rapid succession. Sending all of the air elementals and two of the ice elementals back to their alternate planes, the giant lets out a victorious yell. Then, he turns to Garidan. "You next, boy!"
Back in the midst, the far-fetched possibility of engaging the ice giant, becomes a bigger reality to Truk'tosh.

I think that range penalty is too severe. The range on your axe is 30'. At most it should be a -2.
