Arthur glanced around and saw that the wizard's friends had all closed in to attack the bandits, and began to ug on his ear lobe frantically. Emmys nodded absently, aware that the weasel wanted him to move, though he was not sure why. He scarcely had his staff back in his hands before he sent it winging out once more, and then hastened to follow the weasel's directions.

DM: Emrys investigated the pack, noting its triple-stiched seams, durable construction, and logical organization. Secured inside the pack were a week’s worth of trail rations, a thin strip of rolled black cloth tied with cord, a small coil of pale rope, a coinpurse, and a small blue vial that sloshed when he nudged it with his hand.
Emmys admired the requisite organization of the pack and noted nothing else as he contentedly hummed to himself, disregarding the strange tugging sensation at the back of his head.

Arthur perched on the back of the wizards shoulder, frantically tugging the hair at the back of his head as his small rodent head looked back and forth from the doorway that hosted the would be assassin and the oblivious boy looking in a backpack.

Arthur hopped down off the young wizard and on to the soft earth of the courtyard. Emmys seemed in his own little world and so Arthur darted across the yard to the darker corners of the courtyard, looking for the best places mushrooms might grow. Emmys trailed along behind him, aiding in the search.

The motion of the birds made Arthur nervous though, so he never let himself stray too far from the large humanoids searching with hm. After scouting the courtyard, Arthur, small enough to evade things that might threaten larger creatures, will be willing to poke a nose into the open double doors. but he won't go far.

Perception checks? +1 foe arthur, or +2 for emrys, or call it emrys aiding another?

Emrys stood outside the hut as the investigations began. Uncomfortable with strange dirty spaces, but Arthur was not so passive. Knowing the importance of the quest to his charge, the weasel waited a few moments for e half-Orc to finish his initial sweep, and then bounded in to search he tiniest corners of the hut.

With Arthur entering the hut, Emrys gre bolder and moved close to the door, pointing to strange spots where he knew the weasel was best equipped to search.

Emrys awoke with a start, an Arthur was surprised to see a new figure had appeared in the camp. Emrys was complaining about needing more sleep, and Arthur shook his small furry head with exasperation and tugged the wizard's arm. manners. the rodent thought.

Once Emrys had introduced himself the weasel curled up in his lap and eyed the stranger warily. Nodding with approval at the caution shown by the rest of the camp, but a little worried about what would be attracted by all the noise.
