It seems I forgot to buy rope. Anyone have some?

Did you get the PM I sent, Seamus?
Also, I believe I have some rope.

Ha! Seems we've worked ourselves into a moral quandary! The perils of being good-aligned and taking prisoners (some amongst us excepted of course) :P

The prisoner isn't really a big issue for Terwin, its more that he only knew about goblins second hand and from books and now he's met them they are basically acting like little people. I really like the Paizo take of goblins as little terrors, but they don't seem to stick to it consistently and I wish they would. Transpose our mission to say another ethnicity and we are practically a death squad here. I really hope something crops up that allows me to justify a good character continuing, but I'd rather withdraw Terwin than change him to fit it.
Terwin—I think you will find that your character can continue, despite his disagreement with this choice that was made. There will be plenty of evil goblins that justify what others thought about this particular one—don't worry too much just yet.

We are practically a death squad. It's the natural outgrowth of what happens when you determine entire classes of people to be monsters. It along with the reasoning on why the drow have dark skin really reveal the rather unpleasant racist undertones that exist in DnD and its offshoots. As a person, I'm totally feeling Terwin.

Thanks folks, hope its not too annoying Terwin being a goody goody, I personally like a bit of moral ambiguity conflict is always more interesting in a story. Its amusing how you find yourself taking positions you would never personally take, my tiefling alchemist has just been delivering an impassioned defence of slavery as a method of protecting the poor, etc. That's half the fun I suppose!

I'm enjoying the roleplay myself. Terwin's making total sense here and I commend you for sticking to your character :)

Thanks Orren, there can be a fine line though, so please let me know if its getting old - I'll try to avoid it!

Out of curiosity @Navarro Nedraid, have you considered switching Navarro to the new Swashbuckler in the playtest? I don't know if Seamus would allow it, but as far as I'm concerned it swell balanced as is. It seems to fit your character well and has some pretty darn cool abilities. I'm running one in a PFS game and really like the mechanics, though truth be told I've not really done much with him yet.
It gives you weapon finesse at first level for free, and allows you to take combat expertise without having a 13 Int. Of course you would loose out on skills.
I'd allow it, only because I absolutely love that class

Parry and riposte is potentially awesome, I really wish they had not made it an immediate action, but otherwise its fantastic, "You don't hit me I hit you! And btdubs my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die."

That... would be very cool! I didn't ask because it was a playtest...
I actually just applied a swashbuckler to a Rappan Athuk game on the boards here, so I'm familiar with it and willing to let you give it a try!

I had only read to just before the swashbuckler in the playtest doc before things got busy. Seemed pretty cool from the description though! Some of the others were a bit of a letdown =/

I'm interested in most of the classes, but haven't really taken an indepth look at them yet, the Hunter is the next most intriguing to me after Swashbuckler.

I want to like the shaman, but I don't I wish they had made the spirits more specific like the witch patrons. It would be cool if they could do things like Moon spirit or Shadow spirit and it not just being another Heavens oracle.

It'd make you a bit tougher too, Navarro.
I think it was the hunter that I liked as well. Almost inquisitor-like with the mechanics, and I really enjoy playing inquisitors for some reason.
Arcanist could be interesting as well. Have they reflavored it yet?
HP 12/12 | AC:12 T:12, F:12 | CMD:10, CMB:-2 | Save (F+2, R+2, W+3) | Init:+8 | Perc: +3 | Lightning Flash 7/7
Well the new and final version of the playtest is out, I believe there were substantial changes made to the Arcanist, but have not read up as yet. Hunter is the one that gets to use an animal companion, and is geared towards having the strongest animal companion, could you be thinking of the Investigator?
[HP 9/9 | AC:15, T:11 F:14, CMD:11 | Saves (F+3, R+2, W+7) | Init+1 | Perc+6] Aasimar (appears Human) Cleric 1 -- Sickened
The druid/ranger, with the swift-action animal-buff-thing that adds stat bonuses and such. The mechanics reminded me of the inquisitor judgements.
HP 12/12 | AC:12 T:12, F:12 | CMD:10, CMB:-2 | Save (F+2, R+2, W+3) | Init:+8 | Perc: +3 | Lightning Flash 7/7
Ah, I see yes that's the Hunter, sounds very cool to me. Probably my next PFS character.
I'm actually putting together a swashbuckler for a game right now, as well. Love the class, played one in 3.5, as well. There were several of the classes that I love, and several that were quite...less than I had hoped.

Very funny there Terwin :P (baffling hafling.. heh)
I read some of the revised ACG. The swashbuckler is pretty good! The arcanist revisions are interesting as well. Others are still disappointing
Oh, I love the new warpriest...it's still MADdening, but you can build a fun character with it now.

I just realized that almost the whole party is human! The half-elf is our oddest member. Almost feels weird not running around with a few hellspawn and tengu :P
Now now, it's usually lots of children of the light as well. Though, this is the first time my character would not be improved by being an aasimmar.

True enough! Though I haven't seen too many at my local PFS. 'cept for all them angelkin paladins :P
Nice to see the elf as the 'odd' one, rather than the only normal person!
I can't remember the last table I had that didn't have either an aasimmar or a tiefling that me nor my wife was playing (our highest level characters are one of each)

I just had a thought: should we be keeping track of experience for these fights, or will you just tell us when to level up Seamus?
