Ren studies the data carefully for a moment, pouring over it before saving what he could to his own datapad. Closing the terminal, he walked and talked with Maharth, heading in the general direction away from Baron Kithriss. "Seems like this guy is pretty high up on the food chain. Went on a retreat on Coruscant at the behest of the Emperor, then came here. My intuition tells me that whatever happened at that retreat had an effect on him that drove the Baron to come to Cloud City. Why, I can't say yet. I doubt we'll be able to press him for info, given his mood at the moment."

Chel Nasko |

Chel enters the hotel lobby, followed closely by Quen.
Spying Mahath over to one side, Chel walks around the outside of the lobby and slides up next to the Jedi.
As he does so, Ren emerges and indicates they should walk. Listening to Ren's information, but not really understanding the context, Chel says "An imperial? We checked out the tournament....10000 to enter. Even if we could scratch that much together..."

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

All together once more, the party watches as the nobleman and his entourage wait impatiently for their room to be ready. Suddenly a nearby lift opens and a clearly nervous attendant exits, takes a deep breath and starts off in the direction of the Baron. From where you are you can tell that the Baron and his men cannot have seen him yet; in fact cannot see him at all until he walks around the corner. In other words, if you wish to do anything, you can do it unseen...

Chel Nasko |

Perception.../
Chel notices the attendat exit the lift and hurry towards where the Baron stands.
"That one looks like he knows your Imperial....should we grab him and have a little chat?" Chel asks the others quietly.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

The attendant looks nervous, but this may be because he is clearly a hotel employee and the Baron has already yelled at the front desk person.

Chel Nasko |

Chel runs out in front of the attentdant, stopping him.
"A moment of your time." Chel says in a tone that brooks no dissent, hoping the attendant was conditioned to respond positively to bossy clients
Persuasion: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

The attendant stops, looking terrified. "But I ... I need to... I have to... Oh." He slumps, dejectedly, clearly expecting to be yelled at again.

Chel Nasko |

Chel wraps an arm around the man's shoulders, "Relax, friend. We've only a few questions for you."
Gently but firmly , Chel steers the attendant back toward the others.
Raising his eyes in invitation to Ren, Chel stands behind the man, a hand on each shoulder, should he try to flee or cry out.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

"Um, okay, but I need to show the Baron to his room. Central said he was very disappointed with the previous room and I don't want to lose my job! I can't go back to the refinery again!"

Chel Nasko |

Seeing that Ren wasn't willing to interrogate the man, Chel spun him about and spoke directly to him, "Don't worry friend. We just want to know everything about the Baron. Why he's here, how long he's staying, who visits his room....Anything you can think of. You do this and there's a nice chunk of credits with your name on it."
Persuasion: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17

Quen Pah |

Seeing the Jensarri struggle a bit Quen will call upon the Force to help.
It is okay to answer our questions we are your friends.
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29 Use the Force to Mind Trick

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

The attendant looks terrified until Quen's Force-ful command frees his tongue. "Oh he's here for the tournament, I guess. He arranged for a special hotel terminal in his rooms, but he's said nothing about his purpose here. I guess if you had his access card, you could find out from his terminal."

Mahath Kishion |

When Quen uses his mind trick on the attendant, Mahath turns away, and scans the room to make sure the minor use of the Force hasn't attracted any attention. Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

No one seems to be able to see you, or if they can, they don't seem to act like they do.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

"Umm, I can't. It's on him. It's his personal security access card. I wouldn't know how to get something like that."

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

"Sorry, sir he never parts with the card, near as I see. But maybe I can get you the suite next door. Lemme talk to Admin, shall I?" He scuttles off and returns a few moments later, flushed and looking embarassed. He hands over a security door card for the suites next to the Baron's rooms. He leans in conspiratorially. "If anyone asks, you're with the Principality of Lach Maccorg." He bows and heads off to escort the Baron's party upstairs, as you can hear the Baron shouting loudly about timetables and proper treatment of honored guests.

Chel Nasko |

Chel watches the attendant walk away, tapping the security card against his chin.
"Right, we'll let the good Baron settle. Then we go to 'our' suite and see if we can get to his rooms..." Chel says, looking at the others for thier opinion.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Heading up the room, you find a suite of extreme opulence. It's clearly the best room in the hotel, with marble baths and beds fluffy with silken sheets. A platter of finger foods are left out, along with a carafe of fine wine, the note reading 'Welcome, members of the Cerulean League of Lach Maccorg!'

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

The balconies are separated by a large wall that extends floor to ceiling, but Chel is pretty sure he could scale out or over the wall and reach the Baron's rooms. In fact, standing on the balcony, he can hear the Baron's party entering now, setting down packs and luggage. One of the female bodyguards seems to be issuing order to the other three men, all of whom looked like they could be brothers...

Chel Nasko |

"Yeah, yeah...." Chel answers absentmindedly, his thoughts elsewhere.
Turning, he goes back into the suite.
"
Ren, you think you can slice into the hotel security...prevent any alarms from the Baron's suite?"

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Ren's player PM'd me. He's having some heavy personal life stuff going on and has had to bow out. I'm torn on continuing this. On the one hand, it's a cool story and I enjoy the characters. On the other hand, I'm not feeling the SAGA system as much as I used to. Thoughts?

Chel Nasko |

Too bad, but not surprising. Hope all goes well with the RL stuff Ren.
As for the game, frustrations aside from the pace at times, I'm quite enjoying it. We've discussed new blood before....I've another star wars game whose Dm seems to have been lost in hyperspace, all good players. I could ask if any were interested in joining our game.
That depends of course whether you still have that fire to continue , I hope you do ☺

Mahath Kishion |

I've been struggling with the pacing and the character I put together for it. Mahath just doesn't seem to have anything to do or contribute outside of combat, and that's all on me.
