Lava Lash. Right now I'm feeling this massive amount of pressure. Only 54 hours to make a map, and I was not really expecting to make it into the top 32. I may ask for some private feedback on my map before I turn it in later, but I don't want to say anything publicly and risk disqualification.

Awesome job guys!
Are they going to do interviews of the Top 32 this year?
I managed to get Marathon voter again, and I voted up both of your items several times, so I'm pleased you made it!

I have some bad news. I have decided to withdraw from, or end most of my participation in PBP games. Getting into the Top 32 of RPG Superstar has shown me how much time I was dedicating to PBP that could be better used elsewhere, and how I am in too many games for me to do them all justice. As a consequence of over committing myself, PBP games often feel like a chore for me instead of fun, and I have to make difficult choices about which ones I prioritize, while other people wait on me to post. Therefore, I’m limiting myself to two games as a DM and the games as a player where I have invested the most time/posts and had the most fun.
I apologize for withdrawing from this, but it’s a hard reality I have to face. As much as I love PBP there is limited time in life, and I can’t be fully invested in so many disparate ventures. Thank you all for giving me a chance, and for the fun we have (hopefully) had together. In the future my availability may change, and I hope to see you all around the boards. Again, apologies for failing in my commitment. I wish you all the best of luck, and that all your rolls be critical hits!

Sorry to see you go, Elda, but at the same time I'm happy for your newfound commitment and your RPG Superstar success.
I'm also in the camp "two/three active campaigns at the time are the most one can get involved in without them significantly eating away time from other tasks", and try to stick to that, so I fully understand your motivations.
Good luck and best wishes!

Skrioth takes her fire damage.
Skrioth takes a 5' step away from the pink skeleton and casts bless
Not trying to pick on you Skrioth, just attempting to clarify what I meant in the game thread. In a nutshell, a character's posts (even in combat) should read as if reading from some sort of story, rather than a person describing in game terms what their character is doing. I personally insist on this as a GM because pbp's afford an opportunity for character exposition that doesn't tend to exist in a real time game. That doesn't mean each post needs to be voluminous, just needs to keep in tone with the rest of the posts. Put another way: if a character's post was read in a story, would it seem out of place? There aren't any pink skeletons to be found, for example. Calling it out as such for reference purposes in the footer/OOC is totally fine.
I'll go ahead and take the opportunity to reinforce something else in general, for everyone: make sure to break down your action economy in a post's footer. This is especially pertinent currently to help me keep PF and 5E mechanics separate in my limited brainspace. If someone has modifications to their stat-lines, make sure that's being called out somewhere easy for me to see (examples being Morgder's rage and Arctorus' bloodrage). Otherwise I'm going to be adjudicating things with incorrect info.

Hello everybody. Sorry to barge in on your discussion thread, but I am a friend of Morgder and am here posting on his behalf. He will be unable to post at all until Friday. Rest assure that everything is fine and his posting will be completely back to normal on Friday. Please DMPC him as necessary. Thank you.

I'm going to go ahead and pause this for a couple weeks, given circumstances. Will be busy myself up through Halloween. So, November 1st we'll get back to it.
No problem, get the family taken care of!

Arctorus |

Update on my dad: his pneumonia is still an issue, but his sepsis seems under control. However, he also had a heart attack, and will need a quadruple bypass. So I'm still out of commission (in a full posting capacity) until further notice.
I appreciate any and all positive thoughts and prayers that have been sent this way.

Probably for the best. Despite my intentions, my attention bandwidth seems to get narrower with each passing year. I'm sorry for coming up short here fellas, but it will be better for everyone involved if I just take it out to pasture I think. A constant wax/wane of involvement is no way to run a PbP.
Thanks everyone for being involved. There was some incredible talent in this game and equally impressive characters. And sorry again for dropping the ball.

Tharok Cragsoul |

Welp. That's that, I suppose. For some reason I thought the slow burn approach was going to work, due to PbP being a marathon and not a sprint.
Thanks for the quality posts, Brimley, and thanks everyone for the great rp. This was by far the best (and slowest) game I've yet played in terms of sheer quality. I only wish I'd caught a Brimley game five or ten years ago.
If anybody knows of another good campaign that could use a new player, please let me know.

It might sound trite, but I believe the old 'it was fun while it lasted' well defines this campaign. Great characters, great atmosphere, great writing. I thoroughly enjoyed playing Qytheerah and her interactions with all of you.
Good luck, have fun!
