Sorry about waxing poetic and mystical in my latest post, we merfolk are that way, as are oracles, so with the combination, well, I see fateful crap in just about everything!
I'll try and keep it to a dull roar.

Hey guys every summer my family gets together for a week.
That starts tomorrow.
Very little internet connection, so don't expect much from me until next weekend.
Feel free to bot me.

I'll get a formal tally on the loot acquired in a second and post it in here. I will also be adopting 5E's Passive Perception concept. Passive Perception is just 10 + your Perception skill. For things that don't require active checks (like hidden doors or traps) I will consider that value before making any one roll the check.
So if the DC of a Perception is 13, and Arctorus has a +5 Perception, his Passive Perception of 15 would not require a roll; he would just notice it. Basically, unless it is a roll that requires some specific searching, you're considered to be taking 10. If the DC exceeds all Passive Perception values, I'll allow for a d20 roll instead.

Hey! Just a quick note to announce I'll be backpacking through the Balkans in the next two weeks, so I might apparently fall silent from time to time... I'll try to lurk the Gameplay Thread every now and then and push some posts in the Discussion thread giving a generic outline of Qytheerah's actions if needed, otherwise just GMPC me as needed. Bye!

Qytheerah Reflects-the-Stars |

Thanks! I tried to access roll20, but I'm stuck on mobile so I was having troubles with it as well. I should be back and fully operative on Sunday.

Brimleydower |

I'm going to change the dungeon exploration method. After watching Grafelda stumble into a trap that was missed due to the exploration route being chosen by the DM, I've thought better on that. Instead, I'd like you guys to elect one person to be in charge of where the party goes during a crawl. I'll abstain from voting or deciding on someone so as to leave the accountability in the player side of the room, hah.
Also, in regards to the shadow rat, I'm gonna just kinda gloss over this encounter. Technically it should be incorporeal at this point, but you guys are sporting enough Ability Score damage as is. I think there's been enough "gotcha" encounters thus far that we can just get on with the explorinatin'.

Brimleydower |

To be fair, I had expected you guys to finish the centipedes (and level up) before dealing with the shadow rats.
Speaking of which, everyone go ahead and level up to 2nd.
Add any hit points gained from leveling to your current totals. You can go ahead and add new spells to your lists, and any extra slots you gain can be added to your remaining daily spell totals.
On HP: You can take average per level or roll. Whichever you choose, you're locked into that decision permanently, so consider it well.

HP: 1d8 ⇒ 7
Nice! Also, I now have access to enlarge person, which should make me somewhat more useful in combat. I also vote for Tharok, if nothing else for the fact his ranks in Survival and Stealth make him a good trailblazer.

Morgder Kragmantle |

I just had surgery. Nothing life threatening, but I'm going to be in a lot of pain and on a lot of drugs the next week. Please DMPC as necessary.

Tharok Cragsoul |

Hang in there, Morgder, wishing you a speedy recovery.
HP: 1d8 ⇒ 7
I'm happy to have Tharok pick the way. Does this mean he's literally at the head of the group? Or can he determine the course from the back? His primary schtick is his ranged attack, so I'd like to avoid his being thrust into melee each time we hit a new encounter.

@Skrioth
Despite her gloomy disposition and the increasing stiffness in her body, she finds the strength to nod heartily at Arcorus' words. "We'll find our time to shine, Elda. The only way for that moment to never come is if we turn our backs and flee" she gently says, melodiously invoking Falayna's blessing to heal her friend's wounds.
[Dice=CLW]1d8+1
;)
I think we should all be at full HPs now (even though Grafelda and Arctorus haven't updated their headers yet).

Arctorus |

Level up complete. Took a rank in Perception (don't we all?), Swim (because I didn't have enough at level 1 to take a rank) and Intimidate.
In other news, just killed a snake in the creek behind my house, the 6th this summer! LEVEL UP!

Qytheerah Reflects-the-Stars |

I've... just been killing tons of mosquitoes. The lack of a noticeable increase in my day-to-day performances makes me suspect they aren't worth much in terms of XP – not-quite-shockingly enough

I'm going to give you (You being Tharok) control of the "Current Location" Skull, which we'll call Morte from here on out. You can move him to whichever location you're intent on exploring so there's no miscommunication errors. Looking over leveled characters then getting an update up.
* make sure you guys upstate your status bar too, that's what I use for a Saves/HP/Init/Perception reference.
** Tharok's got +0 Perception on the stat-line, +3 in the profile, but I see no ranks in the skill and a 14 Wis.

Skrioth |

Hmmmm, was able to move myself in Safari actually. Wonder if the latest update to iOS helps?
I went behind Arctorus instead, as next round I can swing with a reach weapon.

I posted Skrioth 2.0, but I need to update all of my macros and bars and such.

Titan Mauler archetype errata update.
Massive Weapons (Ex)
At 3rd level, a titan mauler becomes skilled in the use of massive weapons looted from her titanic foes. She can use two-handed weapons meant for creatures one size category larger, but the penalty for
doing so is increased by 4. However, the attack roll penalty for using weapons too large for her size is reduced by 1, and this reduction increases by 1 for every three levels beyond 3rd (to a minimum of 0).
Thank the gods, we can actually use big 2h weapons now.

Apparently I never got around to this.

Morgder Kragmantle |

What do you guys think for lv 3 weapon? Dwarven long hammer? Dwarven dorn dergor? Dwarven long axe?
