Torvi Stonesinger |

When it’s her turn...
Torvi moves forward, looking forward to spilling some drow blood. She gets right next to her opponent and slams her helmet at the elf’s face...
Dwarven boulder helmet To Hit: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 - 1 = 16
Dwarven boulder helmet Damage: 1d4 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 3 = 9
Can someone move me please?

Dasur Deepborn |

Round 2
With the Drow in retreat, Dasur moves towards the stairs. He turns his back to the stone staircase, trusting Snorri and Iverna to keep the route safe.
Dasur double moves to get behind Iverna and Snorri at the stairs.
Torvi, I think I moved you where you wanted to go?

Glenda Dalduraz |

Glenda moves to a central position so that when she calls for Magrim's blessing, she is able to inspire all of the dwarves.
Opening with bless.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

Snorri proceeds further down the staircase. "I'm covering here! Secure the other way!" he shouts in Dwarven, before settling in a low guard position.
Moving and taking a total defense action. My AC is 25/15/24.

GM SuperTumbler |

Torvi connects with the drow, breaking his nose as dark blood flows down his face.
Regnir's swing goes wide as the drow recoils from Torvi's blow.
As Snorri emerges from the stair tunnel, he finds himself face to face with the shaokyri's master and her guardians.
Drow Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
The she-drow hurls an alchemical weapon at the vulnerable Snorri, but the dwarf is cautious and canny. He presses himself into the wall to his right as the sticky weapon strikes the wall across from him, the sticky foam dripping down the cave wall.
The orc bodyguards move in, swords drawn.
Orc longsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Orc longsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Their weapons are deflected by Snorri's defenses.

GM SuperTumbler |

The drow Torvi attacked draws a rapier and returns the attack, while his companion moves in from the other side.
Rapier attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
The rapier skips off of Torvi's armor.
The other drow uses his actions moving.
Not a good round for the opposition. Drow around Torvi can't quite get the flank.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

"Is this your best?" chuckles Snorri in Undercommon, before whirling the greataxe in a deadly arc against the orcs. "Surface elves have a far better aim."
Attack, Cleave, Power Attack, Raging Song: 1d20 + 7 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 - 1 + 1 = 18
Damage: 1d12 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
Attack, Cleave, Power Attack, Raging Song: 1d20 + 7 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 1 + 1 = 24
Damage: 1d12 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Taking Torvi's raging song and cleaving, AC is 18/8/17

Torvi Stonesinger |

Torvi takes an attack of opportunity with her dorn dergar as the drow moves towards her from the north.
Dorn-dergar To Hit: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 7 - 1 = 11
Dorn-dergar Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 3 = 14 Bludgeon
As a move action, she switches her handling of the dorn dergar from reach to 5’.
She then swings at the drow she injured previously...
Dorn-dergar To Hit: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 1 = 23
Dorn-dergar Damage: 1d10 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 6 + 3 = 17 Bludgeon

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

Either I forgot to hit post or it ate my last round action. So last round was going beyond where Eberos is and checking to see if there are others. I will wait to do this round to see if I learn anything from last round and I can post after work.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11+2 for unusual stone work like trap door and traps.

GM SuperTumbler |

The orcs are wearing thick reptile hide armor and wield long swords and shields, but Magrim's blessing brings Snorri's attacks home.
The first orc's head flies from his neck. The axe continues its arc, clipping the shoulder of the other. Taking him to 0 hp.
Torvi misses an attack at the approaching drow, but turns the momentum of the missed swing to her advantage, swinging the dorn-dergar head into the head of the first drow. His already bloody face collapses under the assault and he drops to the stone.
I wondered what happened to Nalnera.
Regnir pummels the drow ambusher.

GM SuperTumbler |

Troubled by how easily Snorri dispatches her bodyguards, the drow commander turns away, running lightly over the stone, springing over the stream, and vanishing from range of Snorri's darkvision.
Drow bow attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
bow damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Snorri fort save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
I think that number is right. Rage bonus, poison bonus should be +11. In any case, it is successful.[/dice]
From the opposite direction, still beyond his range, comes a dark arrow fletched in white feathers.
Drow rapier attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The drow facing off against Torvi is unhappy that his partner has fallen, but he fights on, his rapier jab dashed aside by Torvi's chain.
Erebos Rapier attack: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 2 = 8
Erebos shimmers into being behind the drow, thrusting with his own rapier, but missing completely.
[ooc]At least Torvi will get the flank, I guess.
Iverna slips down the stairs behind Snorri, whispering at his hip, [b]"Lord Snorri, their is a drow to your left, maybe 80 feet away, within the opening of a tunnel.
Glenda, then everyone else, I think.

Glenda Dalduraz |

"Don't chase them alone!" shouts Glenda. She looks this way and that, frustrated with the narrow tunnels making it impossible for her to find a way to help. Finally she settles for squeezing in next to Torvi and taking a swing at her foe.
Warhammer attack, blessed: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 1 = 17
Warhammer damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Snorri Tharnhammer |

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 1 = 26 Yay for good rolls!
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Through the rush of bloodlust, the sharp pain of the arrow helps Snorri snap out of rage and focus. He dispatches the remaining orc with an almost casual swing before addressing Iverna first, then his companions. "Thanks, Iverna. Come with me. This position is too exposed, I'm falling back to you. There are archers watching the stream."
As he retreats carefully back through the stairs, he places a hand on the arrow embedded in his shoulder, willing Torag's protections into healing energy.
Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Dasur Deepborn |

Round 4
Without any drow in sight, Dasur patiently waits for Snorri to climb up the stairs. "Though the Stone protects us, my magic, which is primarily focused over wide areas, is not much use in these tight hallways. In addition, my usual tactic of enlarging you would lkely result you becoming lodged in a tunnel." He says dryly as the hier of Dammerhall comes up the stairs.
"If there are archers watching the stream, I can block their sight using a cloud of mist. This can also apply if we choose to take the bridge to the southwest. Which strategy would please Torag?" The wizard asks as he watches the black and white figures of Glenda and Torvi fight a foe he cannot see.
Dasur takes no action.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

I take it I don't see anything or anyone of note?

GM SuperTumbler |

Torvi and Glenda connect solidly with the skull of another drow, bringing him down.
I'm describing these guys as dying, though some of them are actually not completely dead, just below 0 hit points in case at some point you want to stabilize and interrogate someone.
Nalnera doesn't see anything or any foes that concern her.
Nalnera and Regnir still have an action in this round.
Erebos moves by the dwarves toward the bridge over the stream, taking cover in a small crevice and looking into the larger cavern, seeing nothing, an archer on a small shelf across the stream.
Iverna allows Snorri to withdraw as she keep an eye on the drow.
No drow actions that you can see this round.
Nalnera, then Round 4

Dasur Deepborn |

Going to go ahead and take next round action.
Round 4
Dasur reaches into his backpack and pulls out a scroll case. He screws the top open and peers inside at the coiled papers. With seemingly editec memory he simply grabs a scroll and pulls it out of the tube without even checking if it was the right one. Tossing the scroll tube back into his pack, he walks behind Snorri with the paper in hand.
"The mist should block the view of the archers and allow us to pass the bridge unhindered, but I must first occupy the bridge itself."
Move action:Retrieve scroll of Obscuring Mist
Move action:Move 20' towards group.

Nalnera Tharnhammer |

Jogging back to the others, "We are not killing Eberos."
Turning to Dasur, "Won't that impend us as well?"

GM SuperTumbler |

Each of the fallen drow has one oil of magic weapon, one potion of cure moderate wounds, and one potion of invisibility, as well as two empty vials each. They also have 18 crossbow bolts each that are not magical, as well as rapiers and hand crossbows. I figure someone will make the checks to identify those expendable magic items.
Iverna moves to catch up with Snorri, lagging a little behind. Erebos whispers to the group,
"I am going to make myself invisible again and move across the bridge just before Dasur covers it with fog. If possible, I will attempt to get behind my brethren so that we can crush them between us. If one of you wishes, I can also bestow this ability on you, and we can flank them together..."

Snorri Tharnhammer |

"Torvi, you are excellent at area denial and battlefield control, if you think you can work with Erebos without murdering each other then I believe you would be the most appropriate flanker."

Dasur Deepborn |

Dasur is hiding around the bend of the cave right before the natural bridge, scroll in hand. "I will count off the seconds after your disappearance. Ten should be sufficient for you to both cross. I will then run out to anchoring point of the thoroughfare and cover the bridge in fog, allowing safe passage for everyone else."

Torvi Stonesinger |

”I can not, in good conscience, promise you that in the bloodlust of combat, that I won’t confuse the good elves with the bad elves. What I will promise is to at least take out the bad elves first!”

GM SuperTumbler |

It will take 3 rounds to get Torvi and Erebos together, cast the spells, and make their way across the bridge.
As Torvi approaches, Erebos intones his spell of invisibility, sprinkling a bit of powder across the two of them. Torvi places her hand on the drow, unwilling to lose track of him. They cross the bridge, masked in sound and sight by drowish manipulation of the darklands energy.
"Let's keep a lid on that bloodlust for a moment."
Across the open bridge, a low arched tunnel opens into a labyrinth of further tunnels. A strong breeze blows from the opening, cool on your face. Erebos touches Torvi's shoulder, directing her to two drow snipers waiting with bows, creating a crossfire in an intersection.

Torvi Stonesinger |

Torvi pushes the elf towards the one to their right, and says [b]”fine, let’s go get this one. Attack when I do.”[ b]
Torvi shuffles Erebos down the hall, and places him in position on one side of the enemy, circles th enemy and attacks.
Dorn-dergar To Hit: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 6 - 1 = 20
Dorn-dergar Damage: 1d10 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 3 = 8 Bludgeon

GM SuperTumbler |

Rapier attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Rapier damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Torvi and Erebos coordinate their attacks flawlessly, but, even so, they cannot fell the drow sniper.
Let's consider that kicking off the combat. Torvi and Erebos both become visible on their attacks.
Everyone else can act before the Drow since you were prepared.

Dasur Deepborn |

Round 1
Dasur silently counts off the seconds since Torvi and Erebos disappeared, At exactly twelve the wizard hasa sudden burst of speed, tearing around the corner and running onto the bridgge.
In a jerking motion he stops just as suddenly and unflurs the scroll in his hands, reading off the arcane inscription in a low voice of power. The area around him, and the bridge, explode into a giant cloud of swirling white mist.
"Water will veil their eyes! Go now, cross!" Dasur shouts in dwarven to his waiting companions.
Move action: 20' move to start of bridge
Standard action: Cast Obscuring Mist from scroll. It should cover the entire bridge from where Dasur is standing, and last 1 minute.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

[larger]"Athànata ktonà!"[/larger] bellows Snorri, charging through the bridge, axe raised, going as fast as his dwarven legs allow.
Double move.

Glenda Dalduraz |

Glenda likewise leaps into action, banging and jangling as her metal armor makes her veiled passage obvious to anyone with ears.

GM SuperTumbler |

The drow facing Erebos and Torvi remains stoic at the sudden appearance of foes. He drops his bow and draws a longsword from his belt...
Longsword attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
but his weapon snags in his scabbard and he strikes empty air.
The orange bordered drow will ready an action to attack whoever comes around that corner, so I think I'm done.

Snorri Tharnhammer |

As Torvi gives a clear line of movement to Snorri, he rushes at the dark elf, axe bared.
Charge! Power Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 2 - 1 = 27
Damage: 1d12 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
My AC is 19/9/18

Dasur Deepborn |

Round 2
Carefully walking across the misty bridge, Dasur follows behind his companions to give support.
However, he is unaware of the drow waitiing in the side hallway, and passes right by the archer's line of sight...
Full-round action: Double move 40' (will update map later), which will trigger the archer's readied action.

GM SuperTumbler |

Snorri runs in front of him first, so I think he soaks that attack.
Bow Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Bow damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Snorri catches an arrow from the lurking drow, but continues his charge. He cuts through the elf's sword arm and deep into his torso.
Glenda and then Erebos and Iverna, I think.

Glenda Dalduraz |

Glenda continues her long, slow advance, moving into a position to block off one of the other drow from pincering in her allies.
Double move again.

GM SuperTumbler |

Need actions from Nalnera and Co. as well.
Erebos casts another spell on himself, once again vanishing from sight.
Casting Vanish.
Iverna runs forward on her even-shorter-than-dwarves legs, finding herself in the midst of the mist.
Glenda approaches a drow as he drops his bow and draws a longsword to meet her. He lashes out, sliding his blade through her armor and striking true.
Longsword attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Longsword damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Another drow moves toward the intruders, weaving his fingers into intricate patterns as thick magical webs fill the tunnels around Snorri and his companions.
Anyone in the effect’s area when the spell is cast must make a Reflex save. If this save succeeds, the creature is inside the web but is otherwise unaffected. If the save fails, the creature gains the grappled condition, but can break free by making a combat maneuver check or Escape Artist check as a standard action against the DC of this spell. The entire area of the web is considered difficult terrain. Anyone moving through the webs must make a combat maneuver check or Escape Artist check as part of their move action, with a DC equal to the spell’s DC. Creatures that fail lose their movement and become grappled in the first square of webbing that they enter.
If you have at least 5 feet of web between you and an opponent, it provides cover. If you have at least 20 feet of web between you, it provides total cover.
The strands of a web spell are flammable. A flaming weapon can slash them away as easily as a hand brushes away cobwebs. Any fire can set the webs alight and burn away one 5-foot square in 1 round. All creatures within flaming webs take 2d4 points of fire damage from the flames.
