Pirates. Arrrrr!

I'll make sure stats are correct once I choose people. Looks ok though.

the Night before!:
Some Milk for this one! with some spiced rum mixed in My good man... elf... dwar..actually what are you?"

The dark furred and tall feline fellow began his tail lashing back and forth excitedly. Here he was in Port Peril, Ready to begin his life as a... a... Actually he wasnt sure what his plan was. Nor was he sure what manner of being it was behind the bar... other than ugly. He deftly moved through the place to a table the coin on his hip in his belt pouch jingling.

When the bar wench came by with his impromptu drink the feline waggled his eyes brows at her trying to woo her interest. . . He had read that on one of his sisters books. About flirting with the tavern maids at least. His ears flicked back for a moment in sadness, before he dug out a few coins to pay. What was the line the hero in that story used? He remembered now.

Arrr! Im thinking to place me cutlass in your sheath wench what say ye? " He said to her with a large toothy grin. He was so excited he never saw the slap but he felt it. He half roared in surprise and laughterhis tail happily swaying back and forth as the bar wench left the table... come to think of it, the man in the book had been slapped too. Being a pirate was going to be awesome.

Can you explain me why a catfolk tribe trains ninjas?

@Hunter William. You are not evil and you won't pickpocket but you want to be a pirate? THese things are not coming together for me.

Ah yes... Long ago the family clan hailed from Tian Xia where a clan war almost wiped most of his honored distant ancestors out. A small few escaped and fled, finally setting in the shackles on an island where they have been most careful about... not exposing themselves. Enough time has passed that Perhaps Rrruh's grandmother might be the only member who remembers anything of the homeland, In fact Rrruh Has never really cared about any of that. His father taught him the skills of a ninja, told him they were ninja skills, then promptly told him to never ever ever ever tell anyone he was a ninja.

If it makes you feel better, I have a catfolk Samurai in the reign of winter AP... his backstory is half headscratchy yet sensical enough to make sense in a way. :)

Have you ever played assassins creed 4? he is going to be like Edward the pirate. Pirates don't pickpocket, they are like, arr, give me your treasures, though he is only like that to the enemies or the bad guys. Unless you think Neutral fits better, but Edward the pirate is not evil. He treasure hunts like a pirate, like finding hidden or lost treasures.

No not yet... I love the AC games but haven't gotten around to buying that one yet.

Well, despite not having played it yet, would you still say he is evil, based off the idea that he is based off a hero? Do any of the AC heroes come off as evil to you? Would you consider them good or neutral?

Actually I did play a short part of the night before. The first few lines of my introduction.
But here some more

The night before:

Let me tell you something, my friends. It´s always a good night, when you can look at your boss with a smile and get a purse of copper. Mind you its just copper and 2 silvers to sweeten the pot, but it is money. Money hard earned. How, do you ask. Better not ask. Drudge work. Guarding a fat, smelly merchant, who thinks he owns you just by paying you a bit of coin. Don´t get me wrong, no one owns Jack Handsome, and Jack Handsome, thats me. Well the merchant wanted to get himself and his sweet wive escorted from one spot to the other. I do that. Help people get from A to B. No problem. I really like it, especially if they have a sweet wive I can bang while they sleep. He, don´t give me that look. He should have made her happy. But he prefered to guard his spices. But those trecks can exhaust many a man. Not me... of course. So I asked him for a decent place to spend some money on drink and he sent me here. Now that I look around, I get the feeling he noticed. But... actually I have a feeling I fit here quite well. And one drink or two per night in a dive, well you never know what the cat brings. Had a great job offer in a dive like her. Just a quick highjack, collect some ransom and then off into the night. Oh, I notice that look. A wait sweety pie, give me another of that ale. What you pay friend? You dont have to but Jack Handsome never said no to a free drink. Where was I. Oh yes. Don´t get me wrong. I am not a bad person. But you see, a man has to earn his living. And there are quite a few juicy fruits out there who only open her blouse for a little trinket. And Jack handsome likes an open blouse, let me tell you that. Oh sweety, thanks for the ale.
Cheers! What that guy over there. I don´t know him. So you have a job offer. Some sweet coin for someth,,,, ing eaaaasy. What did you jusssst say. I feeeel stra.....
(fadeout)

Updated the char, ironed out some kinks and ready for inspection!

Night shift murdered me so I should have something by the end of the day. ;)

Changed him to Neutral, but I still don't see him as evil, Edward the pirate wasn't evil, Jack Sparrow the pirate wasn't evil, though I could see these pirates as Neutral. My guy is more like those kinds of pirates.

You don't have to be evil. Not all pirates are evil. And you can certainly be any alignment you want for this AP. Pirates are of all sorts. I was just trying to help make sure everything lined up.

The Exchange

So. Serious question here. Anti-paladin of Besmara? Leopaldon as I envision him is not fit for adventure on the high seas.

Alright my background is up at last, description too.

Formidably Maid Tavern:

Few things cause a tavern full of pirates to take notice but when a towering man with a serpentine tail slithers in, it gets noticed. Such reactions were common for Shisen, having long ago made peace with it as mere curiosity and caution. His tail flapping behind him he takes a deep long breath.

"Whew finally I can smell something besides fish!

More then a few pirates can't help themselves and chuckle. The atmosphere reverting to it's former state as quickly as it had changed upon his entrance. Making his way to the bar he orders.

"Something strong to drink and well made to eat my good man."

Sensing someone was about to step on his tail he moved it without looking, oddly enough he sensed it again, and then for the third time finally drawing his gaze. A young human man, still older then himself granted, was trying to step on his darting tail.

"You know the first step could be seen as a mistake but know it is pretty clear your trying to provoke me."

Seeing his ruse was blatantly exposed he quickly puts on a tough expression, jabbing his finger into the merman's chest.

"You think your something fish man."

Slapping the boy's finger away and raising his own a orb of acid appears above it.

"Look kid, your not the first or last to have a problem with me. Yet here I am sitting pretty and whole. You really think your going to get anything out of provoking me. Maybe some burns and scaring but nothing you want I promise. Know who and what your dealing with. Otherwise you may not live to learn from your mistake."

The boy's bravado was deflated and his intentions laid bare, his disadvantage so clear he simply spit on the floor and turned. His ears reddening as he escaped. Turning back to the barkeep.

"Now about that order."

I'll post my 'Night Before' soon n_n

Waiting tables makes my weekends slightly under-productive. I must admit that it'll be Monday evening, CDT before I have my backstory up.

@Morphling. I would prefer you pick the one you would like playing the most and only submit 1 character for me.

Aye aye, Cap'n!

Jack Thimble, Jr. reporting for duty!

The Night Before:
Amid the clamor and bustle of the busy port town, Jack was delighted. Stepping off the deck of the Grizzled Grindylow, the trade vessel that had carried him all the way here from Devil's Arches, Jack tipped his tricorn hat to the boatswain before strolling down the dock, whistling a jaunty tune. Port Peril, along with all its dangerous delights, awaited him!

From the grinning cutthroats to the bar toughs, he could see that this place was the spitting image of a pirate port. Rapier at his side, he sidled into a tavern whose appealing-seeming sign bore the image of a buxom serving maid with the type of bosom a charming young halfling man could get lost in. "Formidably Maid," he thought to himself. "That's either a good pun or the spelling's a bad joke."

As his eyes adjusted to the gloom of the busy tavern, he sidestepped past a serving wench carrying a platter of drinks and made his way to the bar. It wasn't long before he caught sight of a beautiful red-haired human beauty with a gleaming cutlass at her hip, whose fierce glare told the drunken mass to keep its distance. That obviously didn't apply to Jack, he reasoned, so he downed his drink, ordered two more, and strolled over to her table with both of them. In the hours that followed, the two of them learned a great deal of things from one another. She learned that size isn't everything, and one should never judge a halfling by his cover. Jack, on the other hand, learned that you shouldn't trust strange pirate women you meet in bars, as he was ambushed by several thugs leaving her room, and knocked unconscious before he could even draw his sword.

The Formidably Maid:
With the sun setting and his 'cousins' having been given a few coins from his recent job, Nicpic makes his ways through his hometown's streets. He felt like getting a little 'wet', and with a sigh (that sounded a little like a caw), he rounds the corner to a dingy little tavern. "The Formidably Maid? How long has it been?" He had been there before, but a bar fight had sort of ruined that night for him. But shrugging and wanting a little grog before sunup, he makes his way in.

The place is fairly busy, but he soon settles in at a side table. A pint in, he remembers the other reason he had left the place. Bad booze. At least it's cheap. Wow! Unlike her! He rises and approaches the beautiful Tengu, clad in leathers and a tricorn atop her head. "Never seen you round these parts. Must be new in port. Name's Nicpic." His head jerks slightly about before a twinkle appears in his eyes. "Mind if I buy you a drink?"

The gorgeous Tengu looks him over, a look that can only be described as a smile appearing on her. "Sure thing, sailor. Name's Aikio. So, how long have you been in Port Peril?"

The night went on and on, rounds of drinks being ordered by Nicpic as he tries to woo the lady with tales of heroism (that he may have even been a part of). And slowly his senses dim, his eyesight blurs, and the last thing he remembers is a sharp pain from the back of his head as all goes black...

Right, setting things up...

Spoiler:
As her ship sailed into the unfamiliar Port Peril, Nori drew up to the captain, giving a final report on the condition of the ship and what reefs to watch for, quick to collect her payment in a pouch tied to her waist and diving overboard to experience the feel of salty water one last time before nightfall. Once the sun had begun to set, providing the proper atmosphere, she dashed forth and leapt clear of the water onto a busy dock, the sea water turning her long black hair to a clingy mop, half covering her face as she quickly made her way to the most prominent tavern, the Formidably Maid.

Bursting through the door with flair and heading straight for the bar, she cried "What a sad and strange lot has washed ashore here, but none so strange as those below the waves mere leagues beyond these shores! Buy us a mug of something dark and strong and I'll share you a tale of what lies below!" With that she vaulted up to lie stretched across the bar, silencing an objection from the bartender with a light slap of her tail fin and a knowing wink. "And if you keep that mug full, I may even share what lies below this tail!"

The tavern being particularly full and flirtatious that evening, she had no shortage of offers, downing mugs of rum and strong wine as quickly as they were offered, intrigued by the variety of races on display but still focusing the bulk of her attention on a human with the unmistakable air of a captain about him, doing what she could to catch his eye while spinning tall tales of aboleths and grindylows, reefclaws and bunyips, drowned men risen from the dead and doomed to trudge along the ocean floor, still weighed down with heavy rocks. As the drinks kept flowing, these stories grew less and less coherent until eventually she simply laid her head down on the bar, passing out. Shortly, she found herself being dragged out the door by her tail, head bouncing off the floorboards. Nothing she wasn't used to after a night like this, she let herself pass out once more, expecting to just be tossed back into the sea as was usually the case.

@Uncle Taco. Go ahead and create an antipaladin. Could be quite interesting.

If everyone who has posted interest has their backstory done before next weekend I'll go ahead and start pondering selection right away. Otherwise don't worry. You have till saturday so no need to rush.

Well, as much as I'd love to be a pirate, I'm going to have to drop out of this. Good luck to all.

Sucks to see you leave, Azten. Best of luck in all future endeavors, okay? n_n

Farewell, matey! If fate be kind, we'll meet upon another voyage!

Dotting.

Got an alchemist all worked out, but am considering a Summoner, with the summoner being a big dumb brute warrior, and the eidolon being the clever one (Yes, I know eidolons dont exactly have stellar Int scores, but hopefully that doesnt mean he cant be eloquent.)

Good day to you, arrr!

Presenting Saph, aquatic elven magus

fluff:

A long time ago, which feels like a lifetime to even the long lived elf, Melusine was born and lived in an underwater elven colony located near the Eye of Abendego. It was a small settlement dedicated to the peaceful study of the eternal hurricane, the site of which was known only to its inhabitants and the occasional trusted visitor. The magical research being carried out was harmless, and the elves strove to avoid all contact with their neighbours in the hope of avoiding conflict. Unfortunately, nearly fifty years ago during one of the worst storms the Shackles had ever seen, the colony was infiltrated and destroyed by sahuagin intent on expanding their territory.

The Malenti who had gained the colony's trust, and subsequently betrayed its location, opened the defences and let a horde of attackers in. Struggling to hold off the evil forces, Melusine's parents strove to protect her at all costs, abandoning their research and attempting to flee. They managed to escape the slaughter, but were cornered by the very malenti who had betrayed the colony. Seeing no other option, Melusine's father sacrificed himself to buy her and her mother time to get her to safety. Her mother swam in to the Eye of Abendego itself, giving herself to the raw power of nature and praying that they would survive.

Some time later, Melusine was found by fisherman three days out of Port Peril, just drifting on the water. Of her mother there was no sign. Fortunate that the crew were good sorts, and believed her story of no memory of anything before being in the water, Melusine was able to work her passage back to land. The fishermen named her 'Sapphire', for the colour of her eyes, and she could not argue for fear or disproving her story of amnesia.

She remained at port, waiting for news to come about her family or the settlement, but after a few years of working as a dock hand and runner to feed herself, she has finally let go of the hope that her mother or another survivor might seek her out, or that she might come across someone who knows what happened.

Melusine has not been idle during her years in Port Peril, she has used what resources she could scrape together to begin her own study of spell and sword. She has focused on magic and bladeskills that allow her good mobility rather than relying on armor that is ill-suited to life at sea. She has now decided that rather than sit still and let life happen to her, she will seek her fortune on the waves, and if Besmara wills it she might use her powers to determine what happened all those years ago to her family. And of course who to blame for the betrayal of the settlement.

The tale of her discovery after the storm is a well told one around the dock taverns, and consequently she is reasonably well known, and thought of as blessed by Besmara. Canny sea dogs and seasoned deck hands alike showed no surprise when she quit her job and declared she was going to find her fortune at sea, with her own ship and crew. They nodded sagely and wished her well, offering up what prayers they had that she would return safe.

Realising she needs to build her knowledge before commanding a ship of her own, she finds herself in the Formidably Maid, chasing rumour that there are ships in port on a recruiting drive...

Personality
Melusine is practical and realistic. She doesn't like to waste words or actions on inefficiency, and can come across brusque and unfriendly simply because she sees no value in adding to a conversation. She becomes infused with energy when discussing something that interests her, or when problem solving, and very much enjoys hearing tales of far away lands and trivia about the world around her. Very much like a sponge, she seems quiet much of the time simply because she is taking as much in as possible. Those few that have made it past her walls find she is a dedicated friend with a respect for camaraderie and is always dependable.

Appearance
She stands around five and a half feet tall, with a sinuous frame that glides rather than walks across the floor. Her tangle of dark hair cascades to her shoulders but is usually kept pinned up out of the way with a decorative hairclip. Those few who have 'pressed their luck' over the years have discovered its dual purpose as a hidden switchblade knife. She takes care to not pin her hair too far up, it usually covers her ears and the gills behind them so as to avoid unwanted questions. Her skin has a tinge of blue about it, but aside from that she looks as elven as they come, angular features and sharp eyes. She favors practical, loose fitting clothing that doesn't restrict her movement. A white blouse and bodice with leather skirt is the norm, and she'll go barefoot where she can, but booted where she has to. She wears a tricorne hat when out in the sun, but finds it prohibitive when indoors so usually ends up carrying it around half the time. Her sword is sheathed across her back, out of the way until needed.

'The Night Before' RP coming soon :)

This is Deliverance, officially applying with my Alchemist...thats this guy.

Gregory has been created with Brew Potion exchanged for Extra Bombs. That is the trade that is done for PFS Alchemist, so thought it would be ok. Lemme know if that doesnt fly with you DM.

I think everything is in order, but will give it another look over.

Wow, five people sad to see me go, and I hadn't even submitted a character...

You guys rock!

We aren't doing PFS so if you could switch the feats that would be best. You will also need to switch a trait to one of the campaign traits as stated in my first post. How did Gregory end up in port peril?

changing my language gained from +1 int. More applicants took draconic than dwarven. Better my chances of being able to pass along secret messages.

Before I submit my potential character ideas, a few questions: If one of them has Rich Parent as a trait (because Buccaneer's Blood dictates that they have an ancestor who was totally infamous or famous), and had their Freebooter parent pass down their fortune to them, how much of it do they keep? Is it just their classes' starting gold?

What about items no on their hand, such as ships, or belongings in their special chests (likely aboard their ship)? What if they are technically a captain of some kind as well? How would the whole kidnapping thing be passed off? Could we work out some kind of custom background based around the chosen Campaign Trait? Are Synthesist Summoners allowed?

I'd appreciate a swift answer to these questions, as they directly affect my characters I'm considering submitting.

Thanks!

-BigBenClockTower

Alright; Alyat should be ready for action! Please tell me if you happen to notice I've missed something.

Although Jamaican Patois is incredibly fascinating, I can't do it justice, so I've dropped it.

At the Formidably Maid:

"...and the man, he says 'I wanted a "pirate ship," not a "pile o' shit!"'"

Deeply-scarred skin the color of the palm leaves... She wasn't the oddest thing in the Formidably Maid-- after all, there was always the barkeep's pet platypus, to say nothing of the other patrons-- but as she roared with laughter at the stranger's joke, she felt keenly aware of the eyes of other patrons on her oddly-marred skin.

But no matter the other patrons. The man who'd told the joke had blushed appreciatively at her laughter.... and what the hell, she'd had a few drinks already.... By the spirits, he was a beautiful man. He made his way closer to her in what was clearly an attempt at a sophisticated saunter, but was stopped short several times by the random motions of rowdy drunkards across a crowded bar. Alyat dissolved into snorting giggles again at his pained expression-- roho ila mimi, what is Gordon putting in the drinks tonight?

She leaned toward him as he approached, her normally-serious manner greatly loosened by the good humor and good ale flowing through the Maid. "An what's bringin' a cute winni like you to such a bad place?" she murmured against his ear, her voice low and sulty. "Don' you know there's bad spirits out tonight, lookin' to snatch up innocent souls?" The half-orc punctuated her question with a playful hand on his hip, pulling him against her for a blissful instant.

And he wasn't pulling away from her, wasn't shrugging off her strange skin or staring uncomfortably at the scars that crept up her collarbone. Alyat felt unreasonably happy as his hands found hers.... and no matter how many times she's gone over the memory, to this day, that's the very last thing she could tell you about that night in the Formidably Maid.

....Of course, waking up bruised and battered in a burlap sack the next morning? That she would never forget.

Polyglot:

'Spirits save me,' what is Gordon putting in the drinks tonight?

Taking rich parents is fine. You start with average gold for your class plus anything from traits such as rich parents(already stated in my first post). Since you get taken/kidnapped from the Formidably Maid I suggest not having any part of you wealth not on your person.

Are you expecting to be a captain at level 1? How exactly did you pull that off? You can't own a ship with level 1 wealth though.

As stated in my first post all paizo classes are allowed. So a synthesist is certainly allowed.

I almost forgot to put in the night before.

Night Before:
In the corner of the tavern, a group of patrons sit around a table roaring out loud with laughter. In the center of the group stands a tall masked elf on top of table, just finishing up his story.

“…And that’s why Cheliax never take the Shackles, mates!” The table roared in applause and cheers for the Pirates of the Shackles. “And now, my audience, I must step down. But I thank you for time and please; celebrate for our freedom from all sailors!”

Barnacles gets off from the table and made his towards the bar. As he got up to the bar, a hand grabbed his shoulder. He turns around and sees one of the men from the group holding a mug of ale. “That was great tale. Here, have this on me.”

The elf smiled, “Sure, why not. But can you turn around?” The man raised his eyebrow. “I have to lift off my mask to drink and I want this face to not be seen.” The man shrugs and turns around. Barnacles chugs the drink and hands it back to the man. “Thanks mate. You..arre...the…be..st...” That was last thing Barnacles remember before blacking out.

Awh. I had hoped, since the trade is deemed a fair one by Paizo themselves for PFS purposes, you would allow it as an option.

The reason PFS switched it out is because there's no magical item creation allowed in Society play.

Brew Potions, though, let's you walk away with tons of saved gold, since you can make potions left and right for half cost of buying them. I think that's better in the long run, anyways, than more bombs per day. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't let it dissuade you from playing an alchemist, since they're tons of fun. And great for making your party grind their teeth at the lower levels!

I made this alias a couple years ago for a S&S game that died 3 posts in. Let's give this a try again. I've adjusted her to fit your character creation guidelines. Morganna fills the "skill monkey" role of a party, providing an assortment of skills, bardic knowledge, and trapfinding (at level 4). She's rather combat oriented, since the lack of Inspire Courage means she has to pick up the slack in combat herself rather than contributing through passive bonuses to her allies.

Roleplay-wise, Morganna(goes by Morgan) is a self-confident risk taker who has some issues with pride. She has few ties to her past and enjoys her lack of obligation to others. She's impulsive, but isn't dumb. She will wait until the time is right for her plan, but not a moment longer.

The Night Before!:
Morganna lifts her cards to hide a small smile. The air is stale, the table is rotting, and the cards are grimy, but the mound of copper in the center of the group is at the largest it's been all night. It's a low stakes game, mostly to pass the time, but the thrill of possible money is always enough to draw her in.

No magic, seven card draw, pass two, shuffle three. Strange house rules, to be sure, but sailors have more variant card games than types of knots. As Morganna raises one last time, her last opponent folds, exclaiming, "I see that smirk, Morgan! You read like a book!" Morganna laughs and collects the coins, revealing a pair of goblins as her hand.

She stands up, deciding to quit while she's ahead. A double-bluff only works once, anyways. "It's been fun, but I should stop now. I still have another week while the Kelp Runner repairs, and I'd hate to go broke so soon."

She looks around as she walks up to the bar, taking stock of how the evening has progressed throughout the tavern. She drains a tankard of ale slowly, content to watch the people around her for a while. 'Must be "recruitment" night for some ship,' she muses to herself, noticing a couple men, obviously drugged, being "helped" out of the tavern. 'I guess that's my cue. I rather like my current ship.' She refuses a drink offered to her as she makes her way out of the Formidably Maid, suspicious that it too is drugged.

An hour later, Morganna is sitting on the docks, watching the moon's reflection over the harbor. Only three days at port so far, and she's already itching to be out on the sea again. Suddenly there's a dull pain on the back of her head, and the water below seems to be getting closer. Darker. She doesn't hear her own splash, nor feel the hands pulling her out and dragging her across the docks, but once she wakes up, she will definitely appreciate the irony of her situation.

Oh Im well aware. Still, they obviously deemed it a balanced trade though.

The Exchange

Ah, I'm still here. Been holding out to see if Inner Sea Gods offers anything of note before finalizing a character. Should be getting the backstory and such up tonight.

Huh. Two potential swashbucklers named Jack? That would get amusingly confusing.

Best of luck to all! May the best pirate crew sail the high seas in search of plunder and glory! Arr!

I actually was really close to submitting a character called Half-Cocked Jack. Can't really explain why Half-Cocked is something I want to add to my character's names for this game, but its out there. Anyways I've set up an alias for Half-Cocked Molly.

I didn't like my options with the antipaladin builds I toyed with. They are just not party friendly, try as I might to make them so and this is purely based on mechanics, before we add in things like alignment. So Here's Half-Cocked Molly, inquisitor of Besmara who bears a striking resemblance to at least one artist's interpretation of the Pirate Queen.

Hey sorry got really sick this last week. What I thought was a common cold ended up putting me in the hospital. :( I am feeling mostly better now so I'll throw in the night before RP just for the fun of it. :D

Night Before:

With a quiet grin Aria pushed open the door to the Formidably Maid. Moving into the room with an upbeat elegance immediately her presence became noticed by more then a few of the bar's patrons. Men turned their heads, women scowled, and even a few mice gave an eye before returning to their holes. Even with the slithering tail following behind, Aria's appeal to the common man seldom went unnoticed. A fact which she more often then not was ready to take advantage of.

Looking across the room the Merfolk began to size up everyone she could lay eyes on. Some of the men she immediately identified as worthless and others she knew would be more trouble then they were worth. She certainly wasn't going to go for just any man who would buy her a free drink. No! She had to find someone who would keep her good company. Turning her head about the girl stopped upon catching something which she had not in the least amount expected.

Merfolk!? Why are there Merfolk here!? Guess I shouldn't be that surprised being so close to the ocean. Looks like I can't cause a ruckus tonight.

With a loud sigh and slumbering grin Aria made her way over the nearest corner table. Pushing away one of the chairs she made a comfortable resting place on her tail and began to wait. With her frail hands holding up her delicate head she knew it wouldn't be long till some poor soul found himself under her spell.

"Ey' miss how 'bout I buy ya's a drink eh?"

It was the first bite of the evening and Aria allowed a smile to reach back across her face.

"That would be lovely sir."

Before long the downward sailor came back with two cups of grog, and two more full of high hopes. With a wide smile the Merfolk thanked the man for his gift and promptly began making a wide variety of small talk. Such gestures she was skilled in and without a second thought a few more of the local sailors began to gather around the corner table.

Such continued the trend for much of the night; Aria getting her fill of mead and meal all the expensive of the gullible men about the bar. Voicing a many jokes and tales the girl continued much the same all throughout the evening. All until she quietly slumbered off in the corner that she'd so profusely thought her own.

Sorry if it's a bit short/rough. I'm still pretty exhausted.

Added Molly's night before post to her profile, will post here for easy access as well.

tl;dr: Molly eats some pesh and goes on a trip.

The Night Before:

### Night Before

“You’re a liar…” Molly. In front of her sat a turbaned scoundrel whose curly mustache made him look bemused despite his best attempts at trying to look serious. “Oh am I?” he replied, shuffling some. Molly shifted in her seat, eyes averting downward at the strange plant before her. She looked back up at the dealer and then slowly, almost reluctantly, slipped him a small bag of coin.

The pesh peddler’s mustache curled in on itself as he smiled and took the coin. Molly watched him count it, trying to read his face for a sign that would justify her acting on her desire to pin him down and cut his eyebrow in two for him. Sadly, either he was a good actor or she’d had too much to drink and without even a goodbye, the honest drug peddler stood and left her with her new purchase. As he made his way toward the door, Molly picked up the pesh he’d left her and sniffed it. It at least smelled right. She had to take him at his word, he was telling the truth.

As he exited, she took the pesh and, holding her nose while she did so, ate it. It went down hard, as its prickly skin clung to the inside of her throat. Molly hadn’t had pesh in quite some time, and knew she needed to find a quiet place to trip in peace. So she gathered herself up to pay her tab, but just as she was standing, the door flung open and in walked someone she was not ready to see at this time. “Jack…”

Lots of questions raced through her mind as she slipped into latrine and out of the window, but she could not answer any of them. She found herself too preoccupied with running away from an ex-boyfriend. As she walked down the muddy streets of Port Peril, thinking solemnly to herself, she realized her inn was in the opposite direction. She stopped and turned to go back only to run into someone, knocking them down. “My apologies.” she says, reaching down to help the passerby up. The hand she grabs is rough, scaly almost; and its attached to a feathery arm, and that arm is attached to some kind of bird. Molly eeps, dropping the bird man back to the ground and begins backing away, scared. “Rude!” it cries at her, almost squawking. She backs away, slowly at first, but then cuts and runs into a nearby hut.

Inside she stops moving, breathing heavily due to fright rather than exhaustion. In an attempt to calm herself, she closes her eyes. She was in the Tengu quarter of Port Peril, she reasoned. She’d never come here before, that’s why it was so shocking. Its not everyday, even in Port Peril, that one sees a bird man.

“Excuse me!” comes a voice from deeper within the home, from the tone Molly could tell it wasn’t asking for pardon, but demanding an explanation. Molly peered in the direction of the voice, seeing a female tengu on her knees looking back at her. “Pardon me, I just had a… Spell.” Molly hesitates as she notices a pair of legs in front of the tengu. Human legs. As she steps back toward the door, the rest of the man shoots into visibility as he sits up to see what’s going on. Molly freezes, because the man isn’t a stranger, but Jack.

Her moment of confusion gives way to rage. “And what’s this ya bastard?!” she yells, walking forward with her hand clutching the hilt of her rapier. “I leave for a month and you’re already finding some freak to get back at me with. She ought ta bite it off with that beak of hers ya two-timing bastard!”

Minutes later Molly’s on the move again. Stray feathers litter her hair and clothes as she stomps away from the tengu quarter. She can feel tears welling up in her eyes. She glances back toward the quarter, seeing Jack fully clothed now following her. She turns and starts walking backwards. “You might as well stop following me. You did what you did and don’t go looking for forgiveness from me ya scurvy shit-for-brains sea dog.” she turns and begins walking more confidently, imagining herself showing off to him, reminding him that some tengu whore will never give him what she could.

She turns around one more time to shout more obscenities to him only to realize he’s gone. As she’s walking backwards again this time she feels herself bump into yet another person. She spins to see a girl dressed like a pirate, a scantily clad one at that. Molly stares at the girl for a moment, watching her scamper up and continue on her path right into a brothel. Outside of it girls coyly smile at Molly, inviting her in with their eyes. She glances again down the path she walked from, seeing Jack once more in the crowd. A devilish grin plays across her face and she stomps right up to the brothel, overrunning the girl she knocked down earlier and taking her by the back of the neck into a private room.

Two hours later Molly emerges from the brothel smelling of sex and scented oils while holding a nearly depleted bottle of rum. She downs it and throws the empty bottle into an alley. As she does so, she looks out into the street and sees him again, in multiple places at that. She frowns and approaches the nearest Jack, drawing her rapier and pointing it straight at him. He looks surprised to see her. If she didn’t know any better she’d say he didn’t even know her. Their duel is quick and ends with him on the ground with her blade at his throat. “Getting rusty, Jack?” she mocks, only for Jack to nod his head nervously. “Awww, why ya so scared? Didn’t think your girly could put you at the end of a blade like this?” “Lady I don’t even know you!” Jack yells, nervously.

“What?” Molly asks, suddenly realizing its not Jack but some random fop. The fact that he would even pretend to be her long lost lover disgusts her so much that she vomits. Lucky him he escapes before she can make him pay for tricking her, and by proxy ruining her blouse. As she recovers she stumbles into a tavern, the fimblewick mermaid or something, and takes a seat at the bar. She orders a drink and looks around seeing Jack again, everywhere now. She turns toward the bar and looks forward. “Oh alright,” she says, “ if you promise not to make this into a thing, maybe we can talk about it…” as she turns her foot gets caught on the stool and she falls forward onto the floor, passing out almost immediately upon hitting the ground.
