Esmarelda Valarie |

Yes! Yes he is! I am rather excited that you know him! ^_^

Cueta Guiding Star |

I'm beginning to dislike this Scourge fellow.
Want to procure us a couple of knives, Gall?

Esmarelda Valarie |

Well at least he hasn't done anything too terrible. So far he's just been an total ass! Hell Plugg and Harrigan look like puppies compared to him. They are a@##&*%s, but not 'I hate you with all my being' kind like Scourge is quickly becoming.

Gall the Half-Giant |

I'll see what I can do. All comes down to the luck of the rolls, though! That said, we've only been here two days. Give it some time, guys. We'll find some big rock to fall on him soon enough, I'm sure.

Cueta Guiding Star |

^ Of course. We've got nothing but time. But if we have some knives, we'll have time and some knives :)
Hopefully Cueta can find a suitable hiding spot in the bilges. Then we can start squirreling away some stuff for a rainy day.

Esmarelda Valarie |

^I know the feeling, that is why when I am at home I have two web pages open so that I can type up my post and refresh the other page to do my best and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Esmarelda Valarie |

Hey do you guys think any of those turtle shells are still around?

Esmarelda Valarie |

XD Nah, I don't mind doing a little, "Before I did this" posts.

Esmarelda Valarie |

Do I reply now or when she leaves Artevious?

GM Besmara |

when ur done with him. I just didnt want you to have to wait around. Im trying to maximize my posts when I can for you all.

Gall the Half-Giant |

Leatherback turtles actually don't have shells! They are a shell-less turtle. THE MORE YOU KNOW~

Esmarelda Valarie |

Thank you!
Ah man! I wanted to see if Jack could turn a part of the shell into a beltbuckle with her arcane mark on it!

Gall the Half-Giant |

Threw an edit on the end of my previous post without realizing it had come in before yours, Esmarelda. Sorry about that!

Esmarelda Valarie |

It's alright, I can still edit!

Cueta Guiding Star |

Missed the edit window - forgot that Studied Strike doesn't give a bonus to intimidate yet. Intimidate roll is a 9.

Esmarelda Valarie |

Also I am not ignoring what Cueta says at dinner. I just totally miss read what Gall had edited.

Cueta Guiding Star |

Also I am not ignoring what Cueta says at dinner.
No worries! Cueta may be a bit surly, but I'm not :)

GM Besmara |

Sorry if I've been a bit slow, trying to find a balance between letting you all RP things out and moving on. Let me know if I'm doing either to fast or slow. Your input matters greatly in how I handle that!

Esmarelda Valarie |

I am liking the pace so far!

Gall the Half-Giant |

Yeah, I'm a fan of the pace right now. Gives us some time and space to get to know one another. We've only just started, after all, so it's always good to forge real bonds here.

Artevious de Poisson |

Agreed. It's moving at a very pleasant clip. I know the feeling of being a game master and just watching the players chat in character. So you're doing a good job of waiting for the lull, then moving on to the next scene.
The players always have the opportunity to say, Earlier: and play a little catch-up with a scene.

Cueta Guiding Star |

You're running a very good game, GM Besmara, and I think the pace is fine. Heck, some PBPs would take a couple of weeks to get to the point we're at now. A lot has happened in two days! We've made some friends, done some work, been nearly jumped, found or retrieved some stuff, made some good food, and been flogged. Not bad for our first two days :)
As Artevious says above, just move on when you're wanting to. We can always jump backwards to finish up.

Esmarelda Valarie |

Hey! you got yours in before me this time Artevious! XD

Harmony Leading |

Okay, I'm back from my vacation, and starting tomorrow I should be a more active poster. Thank you for all your patience.

GM Besmara |

Sorry for the lack of posts today guys! I had remediation services in my room today (mold removal from a leaky shower) and couldn't get to my PC. And no AP books on my phone. I'll try to have something up here shortly, though I may end up watching a movie with my sister.

Gall the Half-Giant |

So, I'm pretty sure that if you fail at your normal check but succeed at your Con check for your daily activity, you're not fatigued. I could be wrong, but I'm 98% sure that's what the Con check is for. Which unfortunately does not help Cueta, but does help Harmony and Esmarelda for tonight.
Also, most things sell for half what you can buy them for. So the axe would be worth 153g-ish. Assuming you can get Grok to take it for that much in the first place.

Esmarelda Valarie |

Oh... Well that would be helpful!
I know they sell for half but they wouldn't be selling it. They would be trading for an item or items of equal value. Grok wouldn't lose any money, it would just be in the axe and not multiple items. This would be a GM ruling. Oh madam GM Bismara, how shall we go about this?

GM Besmara |

Oh, and yes, even if you fail the check for the task, you're only fatigued if you fail the Con check. The only exception is for swabbing the decks.
Also, you guys still seem to be chatting, so I'll wait until I get up tomorrow to boot up the next days activities :) It should be a fun filled and exciting day.

Gall the Half-Giant |

Sorry, Cueta, I meant to take a five foot step with my action to free up some space for Artevious. Just couldn't do it on mobile because fat fingers. If you'd like, you can always adjust your action to take that space (since he moved pretty quick) and still attack?

Cueta Guiding Star |

No worries, Gall! This is the first fight we're in together, so I figure that there's going to be some tactics to work out. With us not fighting with each other before, I didn't want to tabletalk ("attack this one, so that I can move here" type stuff), so I'm trying to do it in character.
I'm hopefully getting a light simple weapon along with the longbow in a trade-in for that masterwork axe, so this type of situation shouldn't come up too often. And if a failed acrobatics check didn't result in drawing 3 AoOs, then I would have tumbled, but three... it is a little much for me to risk with a +5 modifier.
I figure space is going to open up soon, with you and Art being very effective melee fighters, and I actually kind of like the idea of us muddling through this fight, from the RP perspective of we're a new party that isn't used to each other yet (as long as no one dies!).

Esmarelda Valarie |

Are we aloud to stand in squares where rats have fallen? For example, I want to five foot step into the green rat's square since it is down so I can cast.

GM Besmara |

Can't five foot into it. Dead bodies are not easy to stand on. You can get on it, but it'll be full movement rather than 5 foot step.

GM Besmara |

Sorry for the odd posting times and what not guys! First combat so I'm feeling it out (aka stumbling in the dark).
Anyways, as I head into my school semester I'm going to try posting on a predictable schedule. My aim is to post once either in the morning or midday, and then again in the later evening. Of course, the best laid plans blah blah Confucius say... Anyways, I'm going to aim for that. Should make posting on your end easier as well.

Cueta Guiding Star |

No worries, GM Besmara!
I work a regular 9 - 5 (ish) with computer access most of the time, so I can usually post while at work as needed and some nights, depending on my and my wife's schedules, though I'm never up too late during the week. It seems a few of you keep late hours but I don't mind the odd posting times though to be honest - it is enjoyable to wake up and see 3 or so posts to read before I go to work.

Gall the Half-Giant |

Turns out I'm an idiot and forgot how Wild Empathy works. It basically just means I roll a d20 and add both my Cha mod and my level to the check to try to improve the critter's opinion of us. So that roll would just end up as a straight 18.

Harmony Leading |

Yup, sorry, posting now.

Harmony Leading |

Are we on Day 4 or 5 now?

Cueta Guiding Star |

^ Day 5, I believe.
Are you sure you want to sell your chain shirt? The axe should get us plenty: Longbow (75 gp), arrows (1), MW fiddle (50), rapier or simple weapon (15 or less) plus makeup, bottle (5 gp total?) still leaves Grok with a nice profit.

Esmarelda Valarie |

An empty bottle would be closer to coppers then gold. Unless you want a really fancy bottle. And yeah, the axe should be more then enough.

GM Besmara |

*cough*supply and demand on a ship*cough*haggling will be needed*cough*use harmony*cough*
HMM FROG IN MY THROAT

Esmarelda Valarie |

Find away to give the axe to Harmony! Let her do what she does best!

Cueta Guiding Star |

All hail the throat frog heralds - Harmony it is!*
I gave the axe to Es after the fight in the bilges, so she should have it somewhere.
*I'm just glad that Cueta isn't in charge of shopping - she'd probably talk the prices of everything to be double...

Artevious de Poisson |

I'm at a conference, and my only means of posting is via phone. So please bear with me for the short, infrequent posts. It'll be over in another day.

Esmarelda Valarie |

So I take it the axe isn't magical?

Esmarelda Valarie |

It was a long shot anyways, but hey have to try! ^^
