The flash blows past him and he barks out, "Magic user! Left flank!"

As the flash clears, the presence of a smooth hairless humanoid, about six feet tall and fairly gangly. There is something vaguely reptilian about him. At his waist sits a green jade katana.

Aranan - blinded, and stunned for 2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round.

Raoul moves into the room. "Magic, eh? Well, let's see if this fellow can take what he dishes out."

Raoul reaches into his component pouch and removes a small amount of colored sand. He raises the sand to his lips and then tosses it in the direction of the gangly humanoid.

Move to D.8 and cast Color Spray. DC 15 Will. If he fails, he is unconcious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7. Then he will be blinded and stunned for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 The flash of colours matches the creatures earlier display, but as the glow subsides, the humanoid is still standing!

Florentine paces forward and looses an arrow, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 1d8 ⇒ 4 striking the creature!

Concern for Aranan fills Grogson's mind as he is unable to connect with the magic man.

Maurit scurries forward "The Kobold runs!" pointing back into the room the party departed from.

Meanwhile the magic man steps back and casts again, hurling a bolt of magical energy at Grogson Magic Missile - 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 and at the same time the one standing kobold, injured as it may be, rallies to also strike at Grogson 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11 but to no effect.

Raoul reaches into his pocket and removes the Pearl of Power that he recovered from the spider room. He casts Color Spray again using the pearl.

Sorry for the bare-bones post. I have a crying on-year old on my arm and I don't want to hold things up. DC 15 Will save.

Raoul shifts across five feet to get a clear shot past his allies, and once again the room explodes into colour. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 This time, the creature falls to the ground in an untidy heap.

Florentine 8/12

Florentine draws his bow to loose an arrow at the last remaining kobold, then lurches forwards, looking shocked as the bow twangs and the arrow goes wide. He turns to look at Maurit with an expression of surprise, you now see the blood flowing from a gaping wound on his back. Maurit looks at Florentine with an expression of "lunch".

He turns in that direction, preparing to head back the way he came.

Grogson turns smashing his axe in to the little kobold next to him.

Unaware of Flo's predicament and with a threat right in front of him; Jivs stepped up beside his short pal and slashed at the last kobold standing.

Redirect same rolls to Maurit.

Just Grogson begins the decent of his fine axe he sees the glint of steel burst through the kobold's chest and smiling face behind it. "Damn it, boy. Ya've gone stolen my kill.", he says letting the momentum of his blade spin him into a run straight for the hag attacking Florentine. "DIE SCUM.", he bellows as he again swings his mighty waraxe.

Grogson has too many obstacles to get past to get a clean attack in, and his axe doesn't bite, this time.

Pozuket is also out of useful spells, despite having not cast any yet. He also can't do anything for Aranan after the fact. However, he can encourage his still-standing allies to fight back against the "hungry" Pathfinder: "Come my friends. We must release her from whatever corruption has worked its way on her. For Florentine and the honor of the Society!"

The gnome draws his rapier and steps forward to the other side of Florentine.

Sorry, Aranan - Distraction only works if it's in place ahead of time or if the spell's non-instantaneous, or I'd be able to fix you. Everyone else: usual +1's.

Jivs wanted to get to the other side of their 'guide' but jsut couldn't make it. So he settled for just getting closer and taking a stab at her.

Raoul determines that he is next to useless with his bow against their guide. He decides to do something about the sleeping enemies. He walks to the over to the magic user and pulls back his bow. He shoots an arrow at the unconscious figure.

But the wizard drops the arrow.

Maurit once again savages Florentine with a vicious bite, and althoug the wound is not a telling one, Florentine collapses to the floor helpless.

Gritting his teeth at the sight of Flo hitting dirt...Grandmaster Torch made us promise to bring everyone back...I can't fail now... Jivs stabbed for that small spot in between Maurit's ribs.

Now that Raoul has positioned himself adjacent to the magic-user, he concentrates to deliver a deadly shot with his bow. He takes careful aim to hit a vital part on the creature's body.

If the creature survives that damage, he needs to make a DC 19 Fortitude save or die.

1d20 ⇒ 9 Raoul nails the creature to the dungeon floor, ending its threat for good.

Longest PFS combat ever. Great timing on the Maurit betrayal, I was hoping she would hold off to this combat...I have never seen her survive the initial encounter. Always had a cleric that went: GHOUL BURN HER!!!!

Yeah it is getting long, that said its pretty epic for a 1st level brawl

I totally agree, it's showing the full capabilities of a low-level, well thought out encounter. Just sucks to be the one on the ground.

The steel barrel surrounding Grogson shrugs off the assault of the hag and provides him with the chance to counter.

Daggers spun in his hands and then disappeared as Jivokun sheathed the blades. He looked down at what was left of Maurit's body and knew he had failed to bring all of the Pathfinders home this time. With a heavy voice he asked.

What was wrong with her? Maybe we should've given her some trail rations for that hunger...

He shook his head and set about the disgusting yet necessary task of stripping the dead kobolds of their valuables.
