Celestra Zomesco |

Celestra grips her rapier in her hand and quietly utters a prayer to Cayden Cailean.
"Cayden Cailean, I ask for your support as we take on two headed ettins, and vicious trolls that we may free the locals from the terror that lurks in their homeland. Grant us the courage to fight without fear and the strength to drive our blades home. I ask this now that I may thank you later with a toast of ale."
Celestra then casts bless upon her companions.
"I am ready now. We have Cayden Cailean's blessing!"

Sable whispers, "We have the cloak of invisibility, why not use it and let us all press forward to engage this two-headed beast?"

Ailetha Aurcalam |

Ailetha nods in invisible agreement:
That is reasonable. The invisibility only extends a short distance. As long as I do not engage, all near me will remain invisible. So, stay close and keep hands on one another so that we all remain in the sphere of invisibility. When we are in position, I shall squeeze hands and Karlan and Kabal can attack from the front. Then, Bree Celestra and I can shift to provide flanking. With any luck, the multi-headed monstrosity will not be up long enough to raise a warning.

Yep, which is why with my two attacks, I make one Feint (with Greater Feint) and then one regular attack, hoping for a crit (which I have on 15-20) to gift crits to the big boys. If I hit on both, then Kabal or Karlan gets a free crit, and it is denied its dex until my next turn.

Karlan Bladetwist |

[ooc]Alternatively, you and bree can sneak past under invisibility into the hall ahead. Than either myself or kabal can engage and run which will draw him out of his hole into the hall beyond. That will let you guys get into flank failry easily from the other side. How does that work?

Kabal Breven |

"Bah! I'll bait the big baddy. Prepare yourselves."
The big man rolled his shoulders and sauntered over to the alcove entrance.
"Hey numnuts!"
Kabal punctuated his yell by thumping his chest and prattling on.
"Gods be damned, could you two be any uglier? You want some of this? Come and get it you sons of a hairless goat!"
Kabal will keep running his yap until the Ettin moves towards him. He'll then back step to his current map position allowing room for Karlan on his right.

Round 1
Celestra steps up to Kabal and touch him on the shoulder, she delivers a touch of good.
"Holy Cayden Cailean's Codpiece, Kabal, you will take down that two headed beast, my friend!"
Touch of Good: You can touch a living creature as a standard action, granting a sacred bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws equal to half your cleric level. Kabal, for one round you are +4 on all of these!

The creature was staring intently at Kabal, but the other voices coming out nowhere give it rise to caution, it hurls a javelin at him and then picks up its flail - the two heads peering into the darkness.

Going to go ahead and roll them:

Sneak Stab/Sneak Attack Damage 5d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 7, 4, 6, 6) + 2 = 27

Sneak Stab/Sneak Attack Damage 5d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 7, 1, 4, 8) + 2 = 24

Ailetha Aurcalam |

Ailetha will ready an action to begin an inspired performance about the death of a foolish ettin the moment before the first blow lands from one of her companions.
She will then move into any available attacking position if possible.

Karlan Bladetwist |

I really wish Celestra had moved. That will make this trickier. Just remember we're trying to get him out of his hole.

"Bah! It's too stupid to get it. We're gonna have to drag him out of there."
Impatient as ever, Kabal wasn't going to wait for this ettin any longer. He figured it needed prodding a bit so he strode in and swung his axe to get it's attention...[i]I'll probably get smashed against the cave wall for this...[/b]

Correct, it is slow, but not totally silly enough to run into a bunch of mysterious voices from a position of 'saftey' - even rats have cunning :)
It screams semi-incoherent replies to Kabal, refusing, something about "bribes" and more about "Skulltakers" - it is yelling really loud...
It takes a swing as Kabal enters 1d20 ⇒ 3 but misses completely.
In turn he smashes it a fantastic hit, the thing looks twice as worried as a normal monster!

Ailetha speaks to the invisible Bree:
Move forward with me. You should be able to hit him before he can see you. I will then move next to the wall and attempt to set him up for the rest of you to beat on.
If Bree and Ailetha move together, Bree should get at least one poke while invisible, and, thus, get flanking. My intention is for the invisible Ailetha to then move to the small space against the wall and begin poking with her rapier.

![]() |

For Ailetha to move up and into that northern corner she will still require an acrobatics check as she has to actually move through the Ettins squares - there is no clear path around it. Target is enemy CMD+5
Taking earlier rolls for Bree for expedience :)
Bree steps in and shanks the Ettin.

Once Bree has stabbed and, hopefully, given the ettin something to think about, Ailetha makes a flipping roll as she attempts to get past the ettin, not that anyone can see it since she is invisible.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Not sure if she can move and attack this round. She will attack if possible. Will roll once I know if she can. Although that probably just missed. Does she get any bonus for being invisible?

![]() |

Sadly, Ailetha doesn't get through, returning her to the nearest legal square which is back behind Bree. Being invis just makes it harder for them to notice yu and get an AOO on the attempt.
Ailetha can't see a way through with the flails and blades all swinging around.
Still have a Standard action she can use - including for a second attempt.
