Prod, prod, okay I get it, don't wait till nighttime to check out the crystals! happy? :P

Gaza takes the crystals and holding them with her gloves on, and touches them together to see what happens.

If nothing happens she will prepare herself(and take off the gloves) and when ready for the vision of other people(and their lightning bolts) she will touch both crystals simultaneously.

Torr pulls his attention away from the alchemical lab long enough to watch Gaza with curiosity.

Nothing happens when they are touched together or when you touch them this time.

Sorry I should have asked, are you trying to get a vision or just simply touching them?

I was expecting (and trying to get) something, though not sure what to expect (though I figured a vision would be likely and I also thought the crystals might interact, though that proves not).

In that case make another dc15 will save

Alright, you'll get the same exact visions as before. Don't worry about fortitude this time because you were expecting it.

"Maybe it's a crystallized memory? Hmm." She seemed to be talking to herself and is deep in thought.

I watch Gaza quietly as she touches the crystals again, "I don't think you should do that, you fell over last time and ..." When she doesn't fall over this time I look confused and relieved, "Oh, that's good."

I head to the with my favourite blade in hand and my other blade hanging from my hip, "I'm going to see if I can find anyone or anything else in this town, you want to come Demon?"

My favourite blade is the Jet black and silver Damascus blade (the +1). The other blade is the Cold Iron one.

Aylya stops holding her hands out for the crystals as she hears her brother saying hes going searching again. "I best come as well, I worry about you" she walks out the door and is soon the bear again.
In a much deeper voice she says "Clime on my back it will be faster you to, hold on and tell me where to start start?"

Hmm golden compass anyone? Hey I have the golden compass, why don't I get to ride the big bear? Where is my familiar/deamon? :(

Gaza I think Aylya is asking us both to get on her back? or at least that is how I am reading it. That is if you decide to come with us and search the city?

...I am just gonna say again right now that you aren't gonna find anything else in the city as I already stated before beyond what I said. :/

I pass the book to Aylya, "Maybe if we re-complete the circle and try to activate it? That could give us some answers about who we are, where we are and why we can't remember anything. We just have to be ready for something to come out and attack us, as the previous experiment was disappointing but has potential ..."

Would like to note that read magic is not comprehend written languages. It allows reading of spells (like from a spellbook or scroll, generally for prepping or casting them), glyphs, and magical inscriptions on items (like to discover the command word, etc). I am not sure a research journal counts (though the spell at the end for the circle would become readable)

This evening I can switch to comprehend languages and then read it as well.

Gaza is right, aside from the circle the book is written in a language you do not know.

Aylya you recognize the circle and it is meant only to summon something based off the symbols and keep whatever is summon contained in the circle... but that is all you can figure based on the symbols used in the circle.

I find a piece of chalk and start to re-complete the circle of symbols on the floor. Once I have finished I look to the others in the room. "You all ready?"

I then stand up and draw my blade, "Activate!" When nothing happens I look to the others, "You have any idea's how to make it work?"

If Gaza can read the rest of the book then Ill wait till she dos then read out the spell. The rest of the book may say if there are spell components needed.

As the book is largely useless to non magic users and those who can use magic must wait for the proper spell... it remains so until Gaza prepares the proper spell. Once used however Gaza, you discover a relatively simple phrase that must be chanted as demon blood is applied to the completed circle for it to activate properly if you wish to do so.

Sorry storm blew out our router, had to replace. She preps comprehend languages in place of magic weapon.

That evening during prayer/meditation/contemplation that she goes through every night(some details being filled in on the fly when memory fails) she contemplates how she might use magic to understand the book somehow knowing that the answer would come to her.

She spends her watch of the night reading the book in detail.

edit; doh! its my domain spell. I forgot about domains. I guess I don't need to replace magic weapon after all, however in character she has no reason to examine the book until nightfall anyway though she starts during dinner and finishes on her watch if nothing is immediately apparent during dinner.
