Glimmil's AC31, so I see more he AoO connects and 3 regular hits versus 2 regular hits. This would drop Glimmil. If allowed, Glimmil would've likely used Lay Hands after the big AoO walloped him.

Glimmil reawakens in the saddle and frowns upon seeing Claw-Whomper lodged in the dirt at Cog's feet. Seeing the doctor handling his own, Glimmil guides Cog away, making a hasty withdrawal.

Dyrant flies down to cudgel the fire giant into death, his cudgel rising and falling with the beat of his anger, joining cause with Finn's rage.
"Why are you here? *thonk* How do we reach the Cartwrights? *thwak* Where is Finn's mom? *cudgel*"
Dyrant whacks until he is spent, the fighting of the day taking a toll on the would be priest.

Atol Lem |

Atol blinks in the aftermath of the fight. This is his worst time, as the adrenaline sours in his system he grows uneasy and uncomfortable. He watches Dyrant take his discomfort out on the dead giant and wonders if that's the way out of his own.
Instead he does as he always does - he takes out the wands of cure light wounds and spreads the healing around. He starts with himself and then works on Glimmil and the good Doctor. He shakes slightly as he administers the healing.

Glimmil vaults from Cog and lands on the ground with a thump next to Claw-Whomper, digging the tip of his plated boot under the handle and flipping it up semi-casually to his hand.
"Sheesh. What's with all the giant do-badders? Aren't there any good giants?"
Shaking his head, he wiggles his fingers until his hook-hammer *pops* back into his magical glove and adjusts a couple loose straps on Cog's saddle.

Dyrant sets down his AngelRelic, slumping against the wall.
"This has not gone as I hoped. I had thought the Beholder to be behind most of the evil deeds around here, but I was wrong. He was merely another step in the ladder," Dyrant murmurs tiredly. "Let us loot this place for useful magics and knowledge and return to our plan: back to Vhalantru's office where we can research and rest."
Dyrant sits quietly for a few moments, wishing he had gristle stew and a warm bed. After a while, he realizes that none of that will be coming directly to him and gets up to search the dead for magic and clues.

Toffitt shakes his head. "I feel we ought set about bringing the statuary and notes out of here, and seek those who can speed our chase. The whole city's fate hangs in the balance. Nay, all of Orth. Let us seek help and speed."

Atol Lem |

Atol frowns, unsure what to do. "You're right Doctor, it is important, but these statues are heavy. Why don't we just cast the spells to free them here rather than dragging the statues somewhere else? It'll take a couple days, at least, to free everyone. I would like to get the nice lady out of the painting today though if we can. That is if we think a Break Enchantment will do the trick. I have one yet ready."
"After that, we should spend the evening searching this house just in case we missed something. I can whip up a very nice supper for us tonight, thanks be to St. Cuthbert, and we can rest."
"I still don't know what to do tomorrow. I mean, really, do we have any solid leads on where to go next? I think we need to read through the papers and look for clues here yet - at least for the rest of today. Maybe ask god for help tomorrow on where to go next. There are spells I can prepare..." Atol drifts off thinking.
Atol starts by trying to think of good questions to ask for a Divination or a Commune though he struggles to come up with useful ones.
Atol struggles with the need for speed, and the slowness of his own brain. In the end, he merely confuses himself and stands, muddled and upset, next to the dead giant looking helpless.

Dyrant nods along with Atol's summations.
"Yep, that about covers it, Dr. Toffitt. You seem to have your mind set about finding help elsewhere...we hashed it out before. You were dead set on leaving and I don't expect you to change your mind now. We will see what we can find here. There isn't any need to move those statues nor risk bringing harm to the citizens above by showing ourselves to those who would attack us."

Glimmil |

Glimmil's head bobs back and forth as the tall-folks discuss the Cauldron Five's next plans.
"Wait, Cog, did you hear that?"
Glimmil and Cog share a knowing look.
"Slumber party!"
The two begin to trot back into the house to stake out a good place to keep watch on the others.

Toffitt shrugs. Once the level has been carefully looted, he says, "I'll see you back here shortly, then."
Lacking any more means to fly, Toffitt makes use of his rarely used slippers to ascend out of Vhalantru's subterranean lair. He brings with him what items the party may wish to sell, and makes a bee line for Skie's.
Shopping list, anyone, once we account for recent treasure and the loot from this level? Is this a good time to go back and account for treasure?

Finneas briefly considers going with the good Doctor before remembering his ability at stealth is far less than the sneaky surgeon.
"We'll stand watch while the others play. Yes, that's what I said."
Male: We're not going to find her.
Fifth: We will, these others will find something in the notes, a lead to follow.
And kill.

Atol Lem |

Atol shakes his head sadly as the Doctor trundles off to Skie's, heavily laden with the parties newly found loot. We should not split up like this if it's as dangerous as Toffitt says. And if it's not, we should sleep in our own cozy cells tonight and scribe scrolls on the morrow.
Once Doctor Toffitt has left however, he remembers what he can do for the research effort and he tries it.
He casts Break Enchantment on the painting trying to free the poor woman he believes is trapped within.
