Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

"No problem little man...frog.....frogman, anyway you earned it my friend." He replies to Lokti. Fin looks to the group and offers,"Hey guys how about Lokti and I take a little head start, to do a little scouting so maybe we can avoid this next time.." As he finishes he gives Ghadame a stern look that slowly turns into a devious smile. He then puts the trinkets in a separate sack then puts it in his backpack.

I'm thinking like a 60 foot lead or something like that.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Fisnis puts the coin in his back than says "That is fine, I will walk behind the group to help guard our flank. "

Agreed, Finik. Perhaps some scouting would be a good idea.

Lokti pockets his newfound source of wealth. He will creep ahead with Finik, sneaking behind trees whenever possible.

Sneak: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34

This assumes we are still in the forest, once we leave the shelter of the woods I will have a +11 instead of +15.

Male Human (Taldan) Oracle/1

Razz uses mage hand to guide the coins to his bag, but the Voices of the Void are fickle and cast them all over the ground instead. After spending about a minute gathering them by hand, he gets out his crossbow and loads it.

"Can't be too safe," he says to the remainder of the party, chuckling nervously. "Besides, who knows what the scouts will bring back with them."

Female Human(Taldan) Druid 1

Ghad takes her coin and puts it in her pack with the rest of her money. "Okay I agree that we should have scouts, we never know whats going to happen on these roads." She starts heading up the trail and takes care of the minotaurs remains before leaving. While at the minotaurs body she makes sure yuma isn't looking, not wanting to offend him by dececrating such a large creatures body, and starts to harvest meat from the minotaurs body for their dinner that night.

You guys travel for the rest of the day, the path still muddy from the days earlier rain. You stop to make camp, your bodies sore from the events of the day and walking all day. Ghad busies her self making sure a fire pit is set up and she starts a fire. She then takes the meat she had wrapped up and put in her pack and started to cook them over the fire. Thor was whining as he smelled the raw meat and the blood so Ghad throws him one of the raw chunks of meat. Ghad hopes that the smell of the meat cooking isn't to similar to the smell of the body burning in the forest earlier that day, again not wanting to have an issue with any of her party members. She also didn't want to eat rations after a day like today. "Dinner's ready" she calls after the meat has cooked long enough.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

When Fin smells the meat cooking his stomach lets out a big groan, and drags him over to Ghadame to get a nice portion of meat she mysteriously has found very easily. He greedly takes the food his sister offers and starts eating, he mumbles a "Thanks sis." with a full mouth. As he gulps down some water with the meat, Fin streches his arms and lays back on his bedroll. He falls asleep before anyone can talk about guard duty hehe.

M Half-Orc Conjurer (teleportation focus subschool)-1

I put up a post in the ooc thread math. Need you to take a look at it. I'll get back to you as soon as I can, only reliable internet I have right now is via my phone.

Andern wrote:

I replied to you in the OOC thread but just in case you don't check it I'm sorry to hear about your troubles and I will NPC your character until you get back.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Fisnis watches as Ghadame cooks the meat she took earlier. Once she says it is done he takes a piece than says "Thank you, Ghadame." Sitting down to eat he wonders to himself if just training to know magical creatures was a good idea. When he was finished with the food he says "I have found my knowledge lacking. Can anyone teach me about the creatures in these woods?

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

"zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......no i haven't been with a drow priestess before...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" Fin mumbles in his sleep.

Female Human(Taldan) Druid 1

Andern takes a seat around the fire when the meat is done and then start eating quietly, reflecting on the events of the day.

Ghad nods at Fisnis and then smiles [b]I could try to teach you some things about the creatures in this forest, but its kind of unperdictable. As you know from our friend Andern here, orc's roam these woods but they tend to stay on the outskirts and not really in the heart of the forest. The deeper you go in the more dangerous the creatures get. Minotaurs, Centaurs, Bugbears, water serpents, and wolves are somewhat common. Though the Minotaurs are somewhat new to the area...[b] her words trail off as Finik talks in his sleep. She looks at him, her mouth ajar a little. I don't even want to know.

Sorry I haven't been posting much I've been busy but I'll try to get this moving again.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Fisnis nods than says "Thank you Ghadame, Any information you can give is gratefully accepted."

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..bump.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" Fin snores.

The rest of the night passes pretty uneventfully. Everyone eats and the decides to get some sleep. Ghad is the first up in the morning and she quickly sets to waking everyone. She will shake Fis, Yuma, Ander, and Yuma awake and then kick her brothers awake. Come we have work to do, we're about another half day from the main camp. Everyone gets packed up and on the road once more.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Fisnis walks along looking around the forest. Turning to look at Yuma he says " You seem to be a fine warrior can you tell me of your tribe and the warriors that make it up?"

Yuma nods as they wander the forest. He didn't often reminisce pleasantly about his recent past and today wouldn't be much different.

"My people are trained from their youngest days to be warriors, and little more. Despite most peoples' views that this is a savage and wild life there are strict customs and rituals to observe. Though I guess I should say that not all of us agree with how things are done. Some of us do not distrust outlanders as much as others and practice diplomacy, though we are rare, and there are even a few of us that have learned to like 'civilized' arts and literature. I guess that not all tribes are the same; I hear that some Shoanti clans regularly deal with the Varisians and Chelish, but that is not my f- that is not the way of the Sklar-Quah. But what of yourself, you carry a massive blade? A weapon of all steel like that is not made lightly, it is intended for specific targets, yes?"

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

"It is the favored weapon of my god Gorum. I was trained in the use of many weapons because Gorum is a Warrior god. I however found this weapon to fit myself best. I have no intended targets as of yet I did learn how to stop magical beasts." Fisnis than draws his blade to give Yuma a good look at it. "It is a very nice weapon when up close. Your bardiche and javelins have better reach to them though which can really help in a fight."

"We tend to use long, wooden-hafted weapons, they are quick and easy to create with limited materials [-he pats his leather armor inlaid with several horizontal wooden boards-] and we have little iron, and coupled with speed you can keep your opponents at a safe distance. honestly I've never much had the heart for battle. I know what I'm doing with a weapon because of the training all boys receive, but would prefer to be able to lay down my arms if I could. Unfortunately the wilderness can be a hard place to live in harmony wife, and the spirit of the ram honors battle prowess."

Yuma feels the edge of Fisnis' sword with his thumb. It looked thick and heavy, but was sharp. He wondered what it would feel like to swing such blade. He pulled his own weapon and spun it a few times remembering how it felt to wield it with the intent to wound and kill the day before. The thought of what he was capable of when channeling the totem spirits sent shivers up his spine.

"Do you...do you need to draw your blade often? You fight like you are practiced."

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

"We practiced with our weapons every day. The High priest of my church received that honor by being the best warrior. That is how much we battle." Fisnis thinks back for a moment about his life at the church.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

"I'm up, I'm up, jeez whats your problem every morning." Fin complains to his sister after she kicks him awake. He gets up with a big strech puts his gear together and gives a few good swings of his great axe to wake himself up. He looks around and listens in on Fsinis and Little Horn's conversation for a bit.

Then he looks back to Razz, "You sleep okay brother?"

M Half-Orc Conjurer (teleportation focus subschool)-1

Guys, I'm still here and alive, power has been back on, but no internet at home till the first of next week.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

Glad to hear you got your power back buddy!

Since Razz hasn't posted in more than two weeks do you guys want to replace him?

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

I am fine with whatever everyone else says.

Does anyone have his email to see if he intends to return?

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

Math do you have Razz's email still cause I remember in character creation the three of us traded emails, I would try that first and see if he replies then go from there. He never sent me a email so I don't have it.

Finik Derakht wrote:

I'll try and find it. He hasn't posted on his main account in a while either so I'm thinking he might be out of town and just forgot to tell us or something...we'll see if I can find his email and if he responds, if not I'll open it up. Or do you think we could continue with out a replacement, I mean the party does have 7 members.

The party is large enough. I say that we continue on as is for now, and if he shows back up he should be able to catch up quickly enough. But I'd send him an email if you can and at least wait a couple of days for a response before we try to replace him.

M Half-Orc Conjurer (teleportation focus subschool)-1

6 should be plenty. Still no cable here, leeching it when I can. They fixed the line to my house, but one of the lines leading to it is damaged and of course it'll be a few more days.

sorry I haven't responded in a few days...power went out monday morning and I just got it back late last night. I don't have his email so we'll continue on with out him and if he comes back he will be free to jump back in.[ooc]

You all travel the trail today, a little tired from the battle the night before and your stomachs feel a little odd from the meal you guys had last night. Your pretty sure while it tasted like beef it was different and your body isn't quite sure what do make of it. The trail winds in and out of the woods and finally, about dusk, you arrive at the lumber consortium's camp. It is bustling with action as the lumberjacks are returning from their day's working in the vale. A man holding an ax approaches Ghad and then the two of them embrace in a loving hug and the man kisses her on the cheek. She pulls him off to the side for a moment and they speak quietly for a moment. He then approaches the rest of the group. Hello my name is Frank Derakht, my daughter here informs me that you have been charged with helping the town fight off the illness. Before I take you to the man you've come here looking for let us retire for a quick mean and I have a few questions I'm hoping you can answer. he then catches the eye of his youngest son and sighs Finik...I hope you stay out of trouble this time...oh and Rebeca's father wishes to speak with you...something about her being late for something.

[ooc]Sorry for the very generic name of this NPC...I couldn't think of something better.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Fisnis nods as Frank speaks than walks over to Finik "I hope that does not mean what I think it does if so congratulation might be in order."

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

As Finik listens to his father he doesn't make eye contact with him until the last comment directed at him about Rebeca, with a suddenly pale face he reponds to his father, "Oh....Rebeca's father might have to wait since we are on a important mission and cannot be side tracked." He takes a moment trying to not let be shown on his face that he doesn't remember Rebeca. Then replies to Fsinis with a groan and says"Jeez thanks Fsinis, maybe you can preform the marriage services while her father has a crossbow at me back." He then gives out a long *sigh*

Bluff:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

With a straight face and without any hint of humor or lying Fisnis says "It would be a great honor to perform a marriage service the father will even have the honorary weapon that is good."

Oh yeah he does not get the joke.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

Noticing that Fsinis doesn't get the joke, Fin in a seriously sarcastic tone says"And after that you can host the ceremonial run, where the groom tries to get to the closes door while avoiding bolts from his future father in law. I think your sword understands jokes better then you Fsinis." He finishes with a forced laugh followed by another annoyed groan.

Female Human(Taldan) Druid 1

Frank looks at Finik and just shakes his head I'm not going to give you the lecture again in front of your new friends but... he trails off for a moment and then begins again Anyway those who want food follow me, Finik you have a responsibility to tend to Frank then looks over at Ghad and she walks over to Finik and smacks him upside the head before saying Lets go get this over with before word starts going that your in camp again and he starts looking for you. She looks at her father Where can we find him? he motions to a pavilion that is set in the middle of camp. Ghad motions to Thor to follow her and the three of them go off to find Rebeca's parents. Why must I always be the one to make sure he's responsible... she starts thinking as they walk towards the house. After they are away from the group she starts giving him a talk about how to use proper protection, not that she would know...she's never been with anyone. Thor trudges slowly behind them.

The rest of you follow Frank into the heart of the camp. Many men are returning from working in the forest. You sense that everyone in the camp is exhausted from working all day in the woods. Your given a wide birth as your new to camp and these people don't really like outsiders, but the fact that you seem to be following Frank means you will generally be left alone. As you arrive to the main mess area you realize its nothing more than an open fire pit with a few slit log picnic tables set up around it. Men already take up most of the tables, but there is one table open that's big enough to seat everyone. There is a man standing near the fire that you guess is the cook.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Before Finik Leaves:

Fisnis thinks for a moment than says to Finik "I have been told that before but a ceremonial run does sound like good training."

Turning to Frank Fisnis asks "Has this place been around long?"

M Half-Orc Conjurer (teleportation focus subschool)-1

"A hot meal? You have my full attention, sir." Following Frank into the camp, he feels the stares of the woodsmen as he sits down. Feeling a bit self conscious, he leans over to Ghad and says, "I don't get the feeling we're exactly welcome here." He seems oblivious to the fact half orcs probably aren't a common site at supper.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

Says to Fsinis before he gets dragged off:
"Its training I'm well versed in." Fin says with a smirk.

Fin will do his customary series of sorry, your right sis, your so wise, and ends it with the bad like your one to lecture about relationships you never had a boyfriend. That is followed by the blocking of slaps and when they get to Rebeca's father, he will just say what they want to hear not meaning anything and almost seeming a little too practiced hehe.

Bluff:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Ghad isn't around Andern, she dragged Finik off to face his responsibilitys...lol. And nice try Finik but your not getting out of this so easily.

For Finik:
Ghad sighs as you continue to antagonize her, knowing that none of her words are getting through to him. As he throws her lack of luck in the love arena back in her face she gets frusterated but isn't able to land any of her slaps.

You both arrive at the small house your looking for and Ghad knocks for you. A very attractive young woman answers the door and then looks a little surprised to see both you and Ghad. She quickly leaves the house and pulls Finik aside. I'll be getting dinner Ghad says as Finik is pulled aside and then she and Thor head off to get dinner.

The girl pulls Fin a long side the house, where they will be hidden from her rather angry father. What are you doing here? If its because you have heard about my current... she pauses as she thinks of the right word. You can tell its a struggle and you start to remember talking wasn't usually the best thing she did with her mouth. ...situation then don't worry I don't need or want your help. I know this isn't want you wanted so your off the hook this time. I suggest you get out of here before my father knows your around...he's not as forgiving as I am. The only thing I ask is that I get one last kiss she will lean in, but if you grant it to her is up to you.

Frank looks around and sees the others staring at the group and leans in to address Yuma, Andern, and Fisnis. Don't mind them, we don't get visitors often...especially those of your persuasion he pauses to motion to Andern. As long as your not expecting a warm welcome from these men and keep your distance you'll be fine.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

Fin's response:
As he walked with dread to the house, his face brighten up when he saw Rebeca and remembered her now.

He waves off his sister and goes with Rebeca and listens to hear little speech of independence. When she asks him to provide her with a last kiss, how could he not abide the young ladies wish. He leans in and gives her a long passionate kiss, and as he moves away he gives her a roguish smile. "Are you still sure, you don't need me?" He says with a wink. Then his face goes a little more serious, and says "My dear sweet Rebeca, I will do as you wish and leave, and I know you can handle it yourself. But I am willing to face your father." He suddenly grips her hand in both of his and says with passion in his voice, "I knew it was fate when I met a beautiful angel such as you, and wish to further our connection after I finish saving all Falcon's Hollow from this mysterious illness." He moves closer to her and whispers in her ear, "We have already ran into the minions that poisoned our town, and I singlehandedly slay there minotaur leader in a single blow with my axe, but you must keep this information quiet I wish not to scare the locals." As he finishes that his face tightens as he stares into her eyes and starts his next line, "I don't know what I will face next, *dramatic pause*, I don't know if I will even comeback from this mission or see your beautiful smile or even hold you again. So....." He looks up and gives her his best look.
Bluff:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Fin:
She returns the kiss and then pushes him away as she feels things start to heat up. Rebeca's eyes start to tear a little as Fin speaks and her eyes go wide at the mention of the minotaur but she remains silent. Once Fin stops talking she nodes her head and whispers I promise I won't say anything. Now get out of here and stop trying to get into my pants, you silver tongued devil. Besides don't you have a town to save? She smiles warmly and just before he turns to leave she pulls him to her and knees him in the groin. So my father isn't totally disappointed in me she explains and then turns to head back inside.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

DM Mathpro:
As he falls to the ground in pain, he tries to force a smile and says "Can't blame me for trying." If she turns around he will try to give her his best look again, the he'll get up and slowly moves through camp looking for the group.

Fin you make it back to the group about 15 minutes after they were seated. Your still rather sore so careful sitting down...lol.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Seeing Finik come back Fisnis says "I hope your meeting went well."

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

Moving slowly to the group, Fin carefully takes a seat and responds to Fisnis, "Better then I expected!" He lets out a chuckle. "So whats we discussing here?" He asks them.

Male Human (Taldane) Rogue (swashbuckler/scout)

"I'm guessing your guys haven't been talking? Finik says to the groups silence.

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

"Your father just said for us not to mind the others here. We have been waiting for you and Ghadame to get back."

Ghadame finds everyone sitting at the tables, and starts as she notices Finik beat her there. She sits down and then has Thor sit by her. She knows that many of the men in camp don't like Thor so she does her best to keep him by her side at all times.

Frank notices that Finik is back and his face brightens up. Oh that was fast, is everything sorted out? You don't look that bruised... he turns to look at Ghadame You did take him there right? You didn't let him use his charm on you?

Ghadame growls a little Yes dad I did...but Sarah took him beside the house before her father knew what was going on, how he handled it after that I have no idea. I didn't want to stick around just encase they slipped away for one last... she stops and noticeably shutters as images start to fill her head. She gets up to get a drink. I need an ale, anyone else want one while I'm up?

Male Half Elf Inquisitor(Preacher), level 3

Fisnis turns to Ghadame than says "Where can I find some water? I do not drink ale."

Female Human(Taldan) Druid 1

I'll grab you some, I'm up anyway. Anyone else?
