Oh man, it's spreading! Quick! Choose some snazzy robes and an Elder Being from Beyond the Stars and Sanity, and hopefully we can rule the world for a while before it becomes a cosmic gulp.

I don't want to rule the world anymore. Let me just bathe in some ketchup and we can get going.

Not as fun as you'd think. The vinegar makes your nose sting, and it's a pig to clean.
I'm not going to ask how you know this.

DC is 25, because these are a little tougher than ordinary mimics, so you failed the first and the weapon got stuck.
Stuck does not mean automatically disarmed. I'd expect at least some sort of check for this. It's a bad enough nerfing of melee fighters that a free disarm check seems like gilding the lily.
Is pulling it out considered a standard action, or can I use an attack to try and get it out? If it's an attack, I'd have two chances to try and get it free.

That's reasonable. It's a DC 25 Str check to yank the weapon loose and let's say that's an attack-equivalent so if you fail the initial ref save you're out one attack regardless -you did fail a save- but you're not completely hosed.

Hi.
Some of you have probably noticed this across multiple games and I'm sure everyone has marked the generally slower pace in the past while. The short version is that my mental health and RL have not been the best. Dealing with that has consumed a good portion of the energy that was going to keeping more on top of things here. So for about a week, I've been doing a trial of tending half the six every day, alternating. Day 1 is Against the Necromancers, Iron Gods, and Dragonlance. Day 2 is Wrath, Ziggurat, and Writhing Coast. (I split them up based on display order on my Campaigns tab.) It's Day 2 as I'm writing this.
That's proved a lot more compatible with my life at present. It's not what I promised going in and I'm sorry, but it was this or close down at least two of the games. Probably three. If RL interferes or there's too much to manage -simultaneous combats is the main suspect here- on a game's day, I'll do my best to get it done in the following day. I'll also try to peek in to answer quick questions and things like that on off days, but can't make any promises about it.
Besides that, normal practice applies. I might occasionally go missing, but if I can't swing updates when they're due I'll try to say something.

I appreciate the update, but so far the pace of this game has still been better and more consistent than most I've played in, so I'm just glad you found something that works better for what you need. We appreciate that you've been running this game for so long, and personally I'm fine with whatever it takes to help you manage it all.

Hey Samnell
Thanks for the update and continuing the game. And please take care of yourself.
cheers

Hi, players. The boards are back for what seems to be more than a few fevered dreams stacked on end so I have some bad news. Yridhrennor will no longer be with us. I'll find some way to write him out directly, possibly in a bloody manner.
Assuming we've not lost anyone else, I think we're good to continue as-is. I'm also taking this chance to clean up the Characters tab. If I mistakenly flagged you as inactive, give me a scream and I can fix it.
Steave Rojerz
ok
Galin Solatar
Galin has been fully leveled!
+3 skill points(Perception, Spellcraft, Stealth)
+1 BAB
+12 hit points
+1 3rd level spell slot
Gained Sacred Armor and Desert Stride abilities
Gained Deadly Aim Feat
Swapped some equipment around to afford a +2 Belt of Physical Might to boost his strength and dexterity.
Steave Rojerz
Took Shield Focus
Need to do equipment.
How much wealth did we gain? From and To? +7,500 gp?
Steave Rojerz
OK. Increased Elven Chain to +2. Shield to +2
I reset his wand charges, because that's how this works.
Don't forget to buy some healing. Maybe some Haste wands
cheers
Samnell
We gained 7,500 gp, from 16,000 to 23,500.
Actually half that, since we're using automatic bonus progression. But I think we forget that about every time there's a level. -I just had to check myself.- So if there's a general sentiment to drop it then I'm cool with that.
Galin Solatar
Tbh I entirely forgot about that and had been buying items like weapon/armor enhancements and a ring of protection, so I'm fine dropping that or just re-doing my equipment.
Steave Rojerz
I prefer leveling normal. Less work.
Blink Vala
Unfortunately, it's not the kind that has a good ending. I'm afraid my mother has cancer, and things are getting more severe, so due to a recent and sudden decline, I'm heading off to see her. Just in case, as it were.
Theran, Clan Silverlight
Well, I'm being sent off to Germany for work for a week. I'll be busy so I'll be spotty.
Samnell
So...we are down to three players. :( This has also, to be honest, been a remarkably terrible year for me RL -the list of stuff is long and gets pretty personal- so none of my games have gotten the attention they deserve. We've also had a lot of attrition here in that time, with Theran and Y both gone.
All that being the case, it's past time to take the temperature of the group and see how we feel about continuing. We've lost people. Progress has been slower than it was before. Encounter balance has been a little a lot wonky.
Obvious choices before us:
Pack it in. Games lose critical mass, RL gets in the way, etc. It's a bummer but it happens.
Continue with three. Between Galin, Steave, and Blink you have most of the major roles covered. I could adjust things, probably including giving out a level or two, and go on with the smaller group.
Continue but with a couple of new players. Bringing in a few at once is a fairly abrupt shift to the dynamic for RP and all, but they can be people in your little army that distinguished themselves or something like that. Storywise it doesn't have to be awkward. They got their mythic-ness somewhere along the line. Maybe instead of being with you all along they were dispatched from Mendev to make up for the kingdom calling Y away on other business.
Blink Vala
I'd like to continue. Of the options to continue, I'll pick the option that recruits new folks - share the love, many, share the love.
...I will agree that it's bee a f***ing awful year. I just lost my mother. But I like the game, I like the players, and I enjoy having you as a GM Samnell.
Galin Solatar
I'm with Blink. I like this game and really enjoy playing with you as a GM, so if you're up for continuing then I would say that adding another player or two is my preferred option.
If the game is too much for you to maintain or you feel that the magic is no longer there, I totally get that as well.
Steave Rojerz
I'm still here. Have really enjoyed the game and am ready to go.
Cheers
Valissa, Sharp-Tongued Soldier
Hello! I'm Rednal, and I'll be playing Valissa. As an Outer Channeler Medium, Valissa summons a variety of angels into her head - and sometimes outside of it, too, with Summon Monster Spells. As a Pactmaker, she also summons a variety of spirits into her mind (currently up to two at a time), and on relatively short notice can ready a wide selection of abilities for the rest of the day. As you might imagine, it gets pretty crowded in there, which may explain why she's good at Will saves (and outright immune to mental domination - thanks, angels!). She also has completely absurd knowledge skills, so if you want to know the details on anything we're fighting, she probably has the answers. She also has a bunch of occult skill powers, which may come in handy.
Fluff-wise, Valissa is an immortal mythic character who's been helping the war as a tactician since its early stages - any character who knows the "who's who" of notable figures will definitely have heard of her. It is, however, worth noting that she's a tactician, not a general or a warrior. She doesn't command so much as advise and support. She's rather sharp towards people she thinks are failing and not pulling their weight, but has no complaints when people (i.e. the rest of the party) have demonstrated results.
Valissa has a particularly flexible build, so please don't hesitate to ask if there's any kind of support or utility you want. Given a couple of minutes to prepare, there's a good chance she can provide it. ^^ I don't think she can deal damage like a combat-focused mythic character can, but for most kinds of support and utility, she has oodles of tricks.
Blink Vala
Blink would like to stop being affected by every status effect Pathfinder has, and a few that I suspect Samnell made up made up just to keep it interesting for me. However, that would involve me not rolling terribly, and I think we all know that's not likely to happen.

*Checks*
Hmm... poor Fort *and* Will saves? Yeah, that's gonna lead to a lot of conditions landing. I can extend an aura (as Protection From Evil) to disrupt a lot of mental effects... and we might want to invest in a good Cloak of Resistance for you sometime soon.
