Hey everyone!!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing on time. I have listed the start date as Oct 6 but if everyone is ready beforehand, I'm okay to start earlier back on the original start date of Oct 1.

What does everyone think? Oct 1 or Oct 6? I'm okay with either, so let me know what works best for you!

@Ghoogler and JASON RODARTE, feel free to go ahead and dot in on the gameplay thread with your character or some other alias so that this game shows up on your campaign page.

I'm not waiting on anything to finish, and taking a trip Oct 5-8. So I'd rather kick off to get things in motion earlier, but it's no big deal to me either way.

Hi Everyone!

I know most of you will probably spend this weekend to sort through your characters and get things set up. That's fine. However, I will send a PM to everyone (except Lupulus who is all set!) just as a friendly reminder.

Gameday session 2 now has an official start date of anytime between Oct 1 to Oct 15. So basically once all of our players are mustered and ready, we'll get started!

I'll also post a brief into in the gameplay thread so that those who are already ready can go ahead and introduce their characters.

Is this scenario associated in particular with any of the factions?

Nope, not associated with any faction and no starship combat in this one.

However, if anyone has the 'AbadarCorp Respect' boon from '1–02 Fugitive on the Red Planet' then I would suggest that you slot it after the Venture-Captain finishes his briefing. I'll mention this again in the gameplay thread after the briefing.

Hi Bigboom! Just responded to your PM, but I'll post here as well. Antares is still in a Session 1 game, but if folks are looking to get going on this before her current adventure ends (or if she's not going to finish before the 15th), I will create a kasathas soldier for this one. I've been planning to create this character for PFS play for awhile now (I have an alias for him already, in a non-PFS Dead Suns game that appears to have stalled out). So it'll be an easy one to create.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm working on my character upload (as I planned to do this weekend), but I just came back from a birthday party I hadn't accounted for and I have a local convention tomorrow so I won't be able to finish till tomorrow evening.

I do have a lvl 4 character with the AbadarCorp Respect Boon that finished his game 2 days ago and is available...but I think a new lvl 1 would be a better fit to the rest of the party (whom I think are all lvl 1 and 2?)

Here I am, I just need to make sure that she is all up to date.

@Antares-1: No problem! The session 2 start date was extended to October 15 to accommodate situations exactly such as yours so we're good to wait until then. But if at some point you think Antares-1 won't finish by the 15th, then bring your kasatha soldier on board and we'll proceed with that character!

@Revvy: No worries, there's plenty of time. This group definitely looks like it will be low tier so your level 4 would be out of tier. But it is totally fine and legal to bring him along for this scenario, especially if you want a bit of RP story continuity with the AbadarCorp respect boon. I say bring whichever character you most want to have roaming the half-alive streets!

Revvy Bitterleaf's character, going by the blurb this character would make a better fit to investigate bad biotech augmentations - he does has a personal investment in trying to keep those non-lethal

@Antares-1, please don't feel any pressure! As I said, Session 2 start dates have been extended to account for Session 1 games getting delayed due to outages. So no worries!

There's an easter egg in the forums that looks for patterns that match the name of these cartoon characters. It seems to have a very broad match, including misspellings and spanning multiple words.

So if I say smurf, then I get smurfed?

Antares will indeed by ready by the 15th, based on the GM's comments in my Session 1 game. He is even speeding up the pace on my behalf. Thank you for being patient with me!

Oh! Just realized Antares is now 2nd level. Hope that doesn't mess with the tier you've got us slotted into? Doesn't look like it will actually, after taking a look at that slide. Anyway, I will work on level up today, as well as boon slotting. Any special boons recommended?

Done! Made a few big changes before playing her for the first time as a 2nd level (from lessons learned playing SFS thus far), but the character sheet as it stands now is the final product. I'll also roll my Day Job now.

Sorry, yesterday was a very long day. I taught all day, had a Master's Thesis reading and then had to teach for another 2 hours.

It's all good! I was just wondering if my posts were not appearing.

Boons slotted:

Personal Boon: Scoured Stars Survivor: 1/day as a free action, reduce number of Resolve Points needed to stabilize by 1 (minimum of 0), and when using this ability to stabilize, gain 1d6 HP for every 2 character levels you have.

Social Boon: Faction's Friend (limited use): 3/3 uses remaining. gain 1 reputation if you fail to fulfill a success condition for an adventure that gains at least 1 XP.

Slotless Boon: Elixir of Renewal (1 use): elixir can be consumed to heal 2d8 HP and 1d4 of one type of ability damage.

FYI: Last week my right eye started giving me issues. I went to the Urgent care on Tuesday and they thought that the retina may have detached. I was able to get an appointment the next day at the ophthalmologist. the retina is still attached but a collection of blood has set in in the back of the right eye. I will be having surgery on Nov 1

Yikes! Take care of yourself and good luck with the surgery. Take as much time as you need and rejoin us whenever you've recovered and feel up for it.
