Blake returns his nearly drained credstick to his tool belt.
"No, never saw you, either," Blake says to the coroner.
He heads to an easily accessible terminal in order to try to hack into the medical system. "I may need some help with this."

Six heads to another nearby console to assist Blake in taking down the firewalls blocking them from the medical records. "Hopefully that will do it. Now we just need to make them match."
DMRhino |
Phantom and Blake work quickly no the terminals, easily accessing the files they need. They step away briefly, pulling out the deceased, to pose an identification picture... a little image manipulation and the dead woman looks good as new... at least in the ident record.
After less than ten minutes work Ceren is now a much younger, and much much deader woman.
Now, the living Ceren just needs a new identity.
The party can set up an alias with a bluff, culture, or disguise check. The group also needs to provide former-ceren with some allies and new contacts (diplomacy), a new job can be secured with a profession check, and to solidify the identity will require some more computer work.
Bluff, culture, or disguise for alias
diplomacy for new contacts
Profession for a new job

Blake-03 |
Blake attempts to create a new arrival entry in the census and accompanying identification files for a false identity.
"Very helpful, Six," he compliments the other android. "Shall we continue on to the station records to generate a new person?"

"The leader of the Dataphiles was personally very excited to meet you. I assure you that you would be well taken care of there!"
Jakt'chit begins helping out where he can with creating the new identity.
Jakt'chit doesn't have crazy good skills, so I'll aid another on all of them:

Zax Rydell |
“A lot of cooks in the kitchen around here, huh?” Zax jokes as the androids all delve into the infosphere from their terminals. “This job seems easy. Perhaps too easy. I would have expected more security.” The engineer steps up to the terminal, cracks his knuckles, then begins to work furiously. The screen flashes different tabs and colors as Zax works at incredible speed. “Why don’t you leave the hacking to the professional around here. Someone deal with that body?” As he speaks, his eyes never leave the screen. “There. Got it.”
Computers check to solidify the identity: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
Phantom-6 |
While Zax and Blade get the new identity into the system, Six helps Ceren work on a new cover story. "You and Jubair, who will both be needing new names by the way, just arrived on one of the Armada ships. You come from a recently terraformed planet, but were displaced in a property dispute between two major corporations. The Starfinder society took notice of Jubair's exceptional skill with computers, and offered to take you in. This cover does work better if the two of you travel together."

Phantom-6 and Jakt'chit have some trouble coming up with a good alias. They can't seem to find a a good fit for her within the station. Because of the poor fictional background, coming up with some new contacts also proves problematic. Jakt'Chit is able to secure her a job, and with some good teamwork in on the info sphere, her identity is tied into all the systems necessary. They are even able to move her money into her new account.
After the party has completed their work, and placed the body at Ceren's home, they must meet with Ceren at the designated meeting place in Jatembe Park.
Open to all citizens, Jatembe Park occupies a wide portion of the Eye of Absalom Station. Filled with lush trees and open grass fields, the park offers some natural terrain to the otherwise metal- clad station. Ceren’s meeting point is one such forested portion of the park, specifically a spot often ignored by citizens due to the winding path required to reach it.
As the party approaches the bridge, the see three rough looking individuals pointing at and walking towards Ceren.

Zax Rydell |
“Live fire in the park!? Are you serious?” Zax exclaims, caught in the middle of the open air parkway. Instinctively, Zax sprints for cover near the more dense foliage of the park, sliding behind the trunk of an ogassel tree, the a large, dense flora native to Castrovel. Peering out from behind the tree, he unslings his rifle from his shoulder and takes aim at the closest thug.
“Our first mission and we’re already resorting to gunplay. Amateurs!” Zax says as he fires his rifle. “Blake – get over there and get Ceren!”
Firing the laser rifle at the Cyan thug (closest) - +1 for weapon focus, no combat tracking: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Jakt'chit |
Jakt'chit runs forward, waving his arms over his head to keep the thugs attention on them. "Towards us, Ceren!" he projects, hoping their charge can get away in time. He pulls his pistol as he continues to gesture the woman forward.

Blake quickly lets loose a bolt from his trust Azimuth, striking Cyan. He looks rather startled!
Zax runs for cover, but as he smashed into the tree he jostles his shooting arm causing the laser to shoot wildly.
Sam dashes forward adding to the confusion of the fray.
Phantom-6's shot lends credence to Zax's admonition as well.
Ceren looks startled, her eyes darting between the thugs and the party.
"Who the hell are you... this is none of your business and if you know what's good for you, you'll stay out of it!"
Cyan and green whip out pistols and fire.

Zax Rydell |
Still waiting for Jak, yes? Should we always roll damage with attack to streamline things?
Zax whistles through his teeth as he watches his new android colleagues wade through the oncoming laserfire. He presses his cheek to his rifle as he aims. The plastic composite exterior is still cool to the touch despite the incredible energy generation at the weapon’s core.
Subliminally, Zax’s machine brain – his implanted exocoertex – processes complex algorithms to enhance the engineer’s organic one. The imbedded combat tracking software takes over his animal instincts, honing his sights on the armed thug ahead. He fires again.
Zax uses his move action to target with Combat Tracking, giving me an additional +1 to hit. His other action to fire.

Blake gets a nice hit on CYAN, but his armor takes most of the damage.
Phantom steadies his tactical sniper rifle I presume, vs KAC, probably good to always specific the weapon, if not the damage type, but I had to go look up what you had, the bullet whizzes just past the thug!
Zax, Nice write up! However, who did you shoot at? Will go with Cyan, as he's a clear line of site. At the top of this page is a "campaign doc", you see that? Could you add an icon for yourself on that doc, and put it on the bridge map, and add the same icon to your profile so it shows up next to your name here. Get the icon for your profile first as you can only use what Paizo proivides.
Zax levels his laser rifle and pegs the already wounded Cyan thug with a solid hit. Smoke wisps rising from his new wound.
Adding injury to injury, Jak grazes cyan for another blow! Looks like Jak missed a turn last turn, we'll just move forward as if he held

Sorry that I wasn't more clear - yes, I was firing at the closest thug, which was still cyan. I'll get an image for Zax - I can't use an image outside of the Paizo databse?
I believe they didn't want to have to police the images, so for the profile (that shows on the left of this post, you're stuck with supplied materials. And the Google doc image should match the forum for clarity.

Sam, whips out his blade and slides it right into the thugs abdomen. The thug pushes off, releasing Ceren... then withdraws to safety. Once he's at distance he begins running.

A Lashunta with a masks wearing armor and a longsword suddenly appears.
With a very slow voice he says: "YES! It ... is ... enough! Thug, stop now or you will taste steel!"
DMRhino |
Blake is able to leave two slugs in the remaining scoundrel... that final assault, and the appearance of reinforcements encourages the remaining thug to get the heck out of there.
Alone now with Ceren, the group is able to provide her with her new identity. Papers, logins, cored sticks. Ceren is unperturbed by the gangers' appearance, confident that the party's work falsifying her death should throw off future investigations into her whereabouts.
Happy with this, Ceren departs to find Jibair and go into hiding.
The party has a brief respite... healing if necessary, and introductions may be in order!
If you need an in, Guidance may have sent these final two society graduates to catch up with the group for this tradition of meeting the faction heads.

From nearby the group hears and sees a shot from a laser weapon emanate from a tree and go in the direction the thug ran. A few seconds after, a small sized humanoid scurries down the tree. It is wearing dark tight clothing, including a hood and has a rifle with a long barrel slung on its back. This rifle, altogether larger than the creature that keeps it, is of rare make and model.
When the halfling finishes his deft decent, he pulls off his hood and removes the glove on his right hand. Without a word a symbol glows forth, the symbol of the Starfinder Society.
Shamshir Maah |
The Lashunta behind the mask starts laughing "Ha ha ha ha ... these fraidy-cats were easy to intimidate! Blake, you are good shot!"
Then he turns to the rest of his Starfinder team and says:
"It is an honor to serve with you! I have only left Castrovel for the Starfinder training so excuse my lack of knowledge sometimes. But I am a Lashunta - we learn quickly!" and he starts to maniacly laugh again which sometimes sounds strangely coming from behind the mask.
He suddenly stops laughing and starts speaking with a focused voice as if the following matter is important to him. "Zvei and I are late. Guidance sent us to join you on the coming faction missions and she was in such a hurry to send us off that we did not even have time to get to know each other."
He pauses and looks into your eyes individually. Then he says:
"May I ask who you are and what drives you in life?"
Phantom-6 |
Six looks unhappy as she collapses her rifle and stows it out of sight. She rubs her shoulder where the blaster bolt hit her, trying to work out the pain. "Yes. Thank you for the assistance," she says.
She scans Zvei and the Lashunta, her eyes stopping on the Starfinder tattoo, before she meets Shamshir's stare. "You can call me Six. For now, let's just say my drive is living up to the rest of my name."
Blake-03 |
"We need to report to Historia," Blake states. He heads off toward the Lorespire.
Zvei: No more confirmation rolls for critical. If your natural 20 is enough to hit the target anyway, you do double damage (and maybe a critical effect depending on your weapon).
DMRhino |
Zvei takes a highly questionable shot at the fleeing thug... putting him down with a well aimed round.
Just as Blake mentions the need to contact Historia she contact them Historia-7 relays that Ceren feels comfortable enough in her new identity to risk a return to public life. ,
Historia 7 says, "Ceren contacted me, she told me it's the most alive she has felt in ages! She's even gone so far as to offer to assist the Dataphiles if they ever require her skills." She thanks you all for handling the gamers, and says that she personally handled forging Ceren’s death.
Having contacted Historia 7... you now have the other missions to attend to. See the overview of the factions sheet Guidance provided (see Handout #1: Starfinder Faction Summary on on the Google sheet)

"Ha ha ha ... obviously you are a little tight-lipped regarding your way of life! I like that!" Shamshir starts laughing.
Then he looks at you with interest and you telepathically hear "Mysteries that we will unveil together will also open our souls to each other ..."
Then he starts walking and says loudly "Let's go team ... the faction leaders are obviously waiting!"
