So I have the order something like: Tor, Slaynn, Malkavik, Zephir, Tiberiu with Adjinakou and Qorinae taking up the rear. Didn't hear from either of them about gear in hand, either. Hope they are still with us...

The party, taking Malkavik's suggestion, steps over the broken-in brick wall and moves on the path to the east. It continues that direction for about 50 ft before turning north. The tunnels bears mostly north with a few twists and turns before it turns to the northeast.

After about 30' an opening (the first you've seen since heading this way) appears on your right. It appears another passage on the right is about 10' farther down or the main tunnel continues to the north.

New Map is posted at top margin for your reference.


I have 60' of darkvision, and i'll definitely look down each tunnel we pass to see if anything stands out.

As the group comes up to first passage and peers inside, Tor is taken aback by what he sees. Moving in the cavern beyond the passage is a pair of hairless humanoid figures lurching on back-bent, dog-like legs, their hideous mouth flanked by tiny arms with three-fingered hands.

The creature eyes burn red, and it growls in a strange language to its companion, as they move to attack the intruders.

The Green Creature steps forward and begins attacking Tor, the nearest opponent, with its claws and terrible mouth. One of the claws nicks sensitive skin on the dwarf cleric, wounding him for 2 hp. Fortunately, the dwarf is able to push that horrible grasping mouth away with his shield before it can do any damage.

Strange Creatures - Round 1 - continued

Slaynn swings over the head of Tor with his staff, but the high attack also misses the hunched over creature and Slaynn whiffs on the swing.

I will run Qorinae for now, but he has been missing for sometime, and may get dropped soon.

Qorinae advances to behind Tor and fires his bow at the monstrosity before him, but his trembling hands cause the shot to go wide.

Adjinakou blows a curse at the aberration, his evil eye affecting the creatures saving throws for 2 rounds.

Tiberiu the square you wanted was taken by Slaynn, who goes first in initiative, I put you in another adjacent square, but it does provoke.

Tiberiu rushes forward, snapping his Varisian scarf. His advance put him perilously close to the evil monster, which snaps at magus as approaches, catching his skin and wounding him for 3 hp.

Tiberiu also needs a DC 12 will save

Zephir's move in the shadow of Tiberiu does not draw a bite, but the oracle's spear fails to find a mark against the strange enemy.

Malkavik sets to work quickly mixing and throwing an incendiary bomb. The bomb strikes the target, burning the creature which howls uncontrollably, sending shivers up all your spines. The precise nature of the throw keeps any splash from affecting the nearby allies.

Rushing up to aid its companion, Purple Creature advances its horrible jaws snapping at Tiberiu also.

That's two DC 12 Will saves for Tiberiu please I have him at 10/16 hp...Tor is up now for the heroes to finish the round.

Sorry, I posted that yesterday, and forgot that I hadn't updated the game. Doing so now.I guess I am DM-PCing Tor as well as Qorinae? I guess I will dump players after this combat if they don't check in.

Strange Creatures - Round 1 - concluded

Not knowing what this creature is, only knowing it is an abomination, Tor makes to bash in the head of the beast with his holy weapon. The cleric stumbles on his swing and his attack fails to connect with the shuffling shape in front of him.

Angry now and wounded by Malkavik's bomb, Green Creature lashes out wildly at Tor with claws and jaws. Avoiding the worst, Tor is again hit with one claw for 2 more hp. The beast then shuffles backwards 5' beckoning the dwarf forward creepily with one misshapen digit.

Whispering an invocation to the Night Lord, Adjinakou calls misfortune down on the purple creature and begins to cackle.

The purple monster must make a will check or be forced to reroll every check it makes and take the worst of those rolls. The cackle increases the duration of both curses by 1 round.

Strange Creatures - Round 2

Slaynn steps forward again swinging his quarterstaff, but the creatures reactions are too fast and it ducks quickly out of the way of the attack.

Qorinae fires his bow once again into the combat, this time striking the Purple Creature, in the neck with his arrow.

Continuing to sling curses, Adjinakou cackles to extend his hexes, and throws Misfortune at the Purple Monster which succumbs to the unlucky curse.

Zephir's attack at the Purple Monster fail again.

Malkavik throws another successful bomb at Green Creature, blasting it with flaming liquid and splashing more on the Purple Creature.

From the creature's bite, feelings of anger and wrath overcome Tiberiu, who is given the sickened condition for 2 rounds.

Before stepping backward, Purple Creature lashes out at Slaynn, who is now in the front with both claws and its ravening jaws. The elf is struck by one claw and the bite of the monster for 8 hp dmg total.

Slaynn needs DC 12 Will save or be sickened like Tiberiu. Tiberiu is now up, but with the sickened condition. Tor can post if is still out there.

Sorry, for some reason this game showed as inactive in my campaigns tab, so I stopped paying attention to it. and bombs do indeed crit, they just add 1d6+static damage.

Tor will draw upon the power of his god, then reach out and touch Slaynn, closing his wounds.

I don't mind adding the damage but on the PRD it says "On a direct hit, an alchemist's bomb inflicts 1d6 points of fire damage + additional damage equal to the alchemist's Intelligence modifier. The damage of an alchemist's bomb increases by 1d6 points at every odd-numbered alchemist level (this bonus damage is not multiplied on a critical hit or by using feats such as Vital Strike). " Oh, the BONUS damage is not multiplied.
additional damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 PBS gives me an extra damage on the direct hit, I think.

Strange Creatures - Round 2 - concluded

Tiberiu, sickened with rage, swipes at the Purple thing with his bladed scarf. The scarf strikes true this time, gashing the creature a new wound.

Tor brings forth the healing powers of Torag, sealing the wounds of Slaynn, who is also sickened by the bite of the sinspawn.

I realized I forgot to take into account Adjinakou's misfortune hex on purple last round, rather than retcon it, I thought I'd just move it to Green's attacks for this round. ok?

The Green creature slashes at the newly healed, but now sickened Slaynn once more. With uncanny luck passed on from the witch doctor, all of the attacks miss the elven barbarian

Zephir continues his tradition of stabbing all around the enemy, but never actually making contact.

Malkavik however strikes again with his bomb, blowing the Green Creature to pieces and splashing fire on Purple, who avoids most of the splash.

Tor will swing his rune-blessed warhammer at the head of the nearest abomination, shouting out "FOR TORAG!"

Adjinakou's slumber hex is ineffective against this creature.

Tiberiu swings his scarf once again, but this time cannot connect with either of the strange creatures fighting the party.

Tor slips forward and swings his hammer at the aberration, but is unable to make effective contact.

Slaynn slams the creature caving in most of its cranium wiht his quarterstaff and spilling blood and brains all over the cavern floor.

End of Combat

Killing these two creatures earns the group 170xp per player. This moves the total to 1862/3300 or about 28% of the way to level 3. Tiberiu and Slaynnn carry the sickened condition forward for a few minutes longer.
