"I am sorry, friend, but by drink I meant alcoholic drinks. They make you feel merry and suit celebrations well." Anaach tries to explain but cannot find the words, so he calls to Kortus, "Sir dwarf, please help me find the words to explain to my friend what it is like to drink of ale, or rum."

Explain it?! Would it not be so much more fun to show him what alcohol is? I simply cannot miss this. Come, my masked friend. Let us teach you the marvels of inebriation!

Lars somewhat just looks around nervously, not really sure what any of this means, and hearing words that he's not familiar with in common at all, but he follows all the same, as expected. "What is... Inebriation? And rum? And... what is Marvel?" he asks repeatedly.

Turning as he was hailed by the group of merry-makers, Kortus smiled as he was asked to explain the pleasures of drinking.

"I'll be glad t' answer all questions, but t' do so, I'm t' be needin' a pint as a visual aide."

Pulling on his shaggy beard once more to dry it out, Kortus approached the much larger man smiling as he did.

"Think of spinnin' a blade so fast that it makes ye eyes cross. Now think of that spinnin' blade being trapped in a glass waitin' for someone t' come along and set it free by takin' a sip from the glass holdin' it. That my lad, be what it is like t' drink the rum."

Sighing happily Kortus continues, "But ale. Now ale be a sign that the gods love us. Nothing says it better than a pint raised in celebration on a fine day such as this."

Anaach claps the man on his shoulder, not hard or roughly. "Truer words have not been spoken, you have found the words I could not speak." he laughs, "And I shall buy the pint. Seeing as Remy has promised to spend my silver to buy one for me."

The large man hoists his weapons back onto his shoulders as the group meanders toward a vendor.

"So, friend, these men are Remy, and this is Lars." He points to each of the men in turn, "And I am Anaach Sklar-Quah. Who might you be?"

No worries, and also does anyone think that the vendor might be concerned as a giant, a dwarf and two warriors go to his stall? xP

Still smiling, Kortus nodded to each of the men as they were introduced by Anaach.

"Kortus Ironhelm, but most around here call me Kort. T' be true, if ye are buyin' the first round, that gives ye the right to choose which one ye like better."

Looking at the combined weaponry of the men, Kortus hedged his bets before he spoke.

"I'm guessin' ye are all hopin' t' catch the eyes of merchants wantin' extra hands after the festival today?"

I would think the vendor would be thanking the gods for sending such drinkers as this group looks to his stall. :)

"Mmm..." Lars has never really had to deal with whatever he's currently feeling right now, and can't help but look around nervously until the dwarf shows up and gives an explanation. At the sound of it he recoils in sheer revulsion. "That.... Sounds painful!" he says exasperated. "Blade. Never should drink." he points out. "Cut you up. Cut you up bad, yeah?"

At the idea of people catching eyes, he lets loose another obviously antisocial quip; "Merchants need eyes." he says in a mumble.

"Indeed" Kortus and Lars' statements could either be the targets of his comment.

Anaach goes to the vendor and buys an ale for each of the companions with him, but not one for himself.

"Here, my friends, drink, and be merry." Anaach grins

Taking a deep pull from his mug, Kortus scans the crowd of people once more.

"I've been livin' here just shy o' two years now and never laid eyes on so many folks comin' out. I guess today the gods be smilin' on us all."

The discussion page is now for OOC posts. Please keep any OOC very limited in the gameplay thread. I would prefer it only use to describe battle movements and actions.

Please get me your backgrounds as soon as you can. Thanks!
It is going to be slow going for a while I am getting over/ kind of still sick and I have a lot on my plate over the next week. But I will always post at least once a day.

Actually this works great. I am terribly sorry guys for the length of the first speech lol.

I just started a new workout program with my wife (holy crap) today and she is on a diet restriction so I am having to come up with meal plans with her. Since I do most of the cooking I am trying to make meals out of very very limited selections of food.

I promise you the game is not dead or dying I just need some time to adjust to the new schedule.

I will try and post the next speech tonight or tomorrow. If not it might not be until Saturday, but I will post more then if that is the case.

Once again I am sorry. I just dropped another game I was playing in so I could have more time for this so don't worry.

If by "Background stories" you mean Kept everything I originally had and added atleast 8 character incorporations, then yes. Yes I did.

Holy guacamole! I just realized I never did Remy's skills! Crap! On it.

Sorry for the slow posting this weekend. We are currently searching for a house, we just relocated in Dec back to Boston, so this weekend was spent at viewings/discussions and me trying desperately to keep my daughter from wearing her mashed potatoes all the time.

Heading over now to get caught up and let the games begin!

No problem these next couple of weeks will be slow as my schedule is slammed. Even though slow I will make sure its fun, hopefully! :-)

Apologies on my lack of posting, it's pack week for me here lol. I'll finally post sometime later tonight (about to go see family I won't see again for a long friggin time), but will be able to post in the evenings. I lose internet on Friday, so will be posting from my phone. Unfortunately, maps come out screwy on my phone, so I'll be combat hindered for about a week and a half afterwards until I get to the new place. Which I'm guessing will put me a few hours away from Kortus here lol, as I'll be in the Philly area of Jersey lmao.

Congrats on already having a place lined up, as the real estate search here is brutal. My wife is self-employeed which means the state doesn't recognize her as having any income, so our options for things that aren't crumbling death traps are very limited. :)
