So I haven't been back to the recruitment thread in a bit so I didn't see most of the discussion about how we all met. From what I HAVE read, I know that Rhiannon and I could have met on a job or two as hired swords. My char has had intimate dealings with the local gangs and would probably have worked with anyone else that had done similar.
Edit: And from the gameplay post, it seems probably with Garroth as well.
Hegin is a prize fighter, so he would have met anyone after a match or something like that. Maybe he is a local celebrity?
Great! checking in too. I'm thinking that the higher class members of our group could have been invited to one of my step-aunt's parties where I'd be a ranking servant type. (Not the one that do real work, a greeter or expediter type.) Other as in his trade as a scout or go between, Maybe met Melifan delivering the "gifts" of the caravan for his boss so they'd be left unmolested?
Remember that Zindelo's class is rogue, but the person is reasonably well respected in town on more than one social tier. He has family here, and gets jobs here routinely. He tries to know everybody he can, high or low.
Hegin, what do you think of the suggestion that we met on the caravans I scout for that you rode a fight circuit for as entertainment for the smaller towns and villages?
Maybe I have been to one of Zindelo's aunt's parties? I am sure that everyone has heard of the reputation of the Lantherian twins and their fall from the grace of their father.
@Hegin If you were a prize fighter, there is a possibility you could have had an underground fight or two jus to pass the time. Melifan could have met you through that. Probably picked up a job as a bouncer and shot the s*!t with you after the fight.
@Zindelo That sounds about right for Melifan. We could have even done that well before he went freelance. He is ex-Sczarni now but you could have known him while he was still in. Which means you knew him mentor too. Speaking of which, you could have known OF his mentor since he was a Restovan noble before hiding out in Magnimar.
@Elrawien- Sounds good to me, that's exactly the kind of people and their problems that would attract Aunties interest.
@Melifan- that's what I was thinking, he's known Melifan for quite a while, a few years at least. Zin is a bit younger, but had a very busy childhood.

Garroth definitely knows Melifan. From your posts so far he strikes me as the kind of guy Garroth would want to hang around with in his spare time, although he would be weary about working with him.
Garroth may have done some work for Hegins old manager maybe, those guys tend to surround themselves with "security"
I imagine the three of us are the kind of friends who dont make it a point to hang around eachother, but work in fields similar enough that the inevitably run into eachother on a regular basis. Drinking buddies and "better friends than they realize or want to admit"

Garroth, I think that Elwarien will be more than your match in appropriate inpropriety.
Anyone who's been involved in protection jobs or small heists could have crossed paths with Rhiannon. Anything shadier than theft she wouldn't have touched, but if it doesn't involve hurting innocents, she's taking pretty much any job she can to help her family out.
Seems we are a band of mercenaries who happen to frequent the same watering hole and have come to know each other :)
Also, reading everyones fluff and seeing what loot people got from mystery box...seems Garroth got stiffed real good!

For the love of everything.. I am loving the RP but am having a hard time keeping up. Every time I finish writing up a post, 3 more have popped up. I have never seen a game so active. I am feeling sorry for the what. 2? maybe 3? that having joined in yet. They are gonna have alot of reading ahead of them. :D
That may happen occasionally I expect this to slow down a bit. Especially when we run into combat. On the other hand lots of participation is definately a good sign.
Elrawien, your stats are a bit all over the place, not a single one is an even number :O
Where are you going to be placing your level based ability bonuses? If Int, there are several small adjustments you could make which could make your character that bit more effective.
Im a bit of a closet munchkin though, so if you like her just the way she is, ill shut up.

I feel the same way as Melifan, panting to keep up, but this slows down a bit as events mature and we get to know each other's style.
Elrawein is very devoted to her goddess, is a b$3ch, and is a spoiled brat but very capable.
Zindelo is very devoted to his as well, and more than a little intimidated! He's not into the "Pain is Pleasure" lifestyle.

Elrawien, I am heading to bed. From here on, Melifan will be mostly kinda turned off and removed, almost in his own little world. Kinda flashing back to the fire probably. Feel free to interact with him but he is going to be surly and short and all around grumpy with you and pretty much everyone else until I wake up in a few hours. Also, I am gonna give the GM free reign on doin what ever with my char. I am lookin forward to where I end up when i get back.

I hope you don't mind Amira, but I took liberty on how we met. I am assuming that since we are on opposite sides, you being a protector of the town and me having worked with the underground, that we have butted heads more than once. Not really friends, but definitely a healthy respect for each other. Or at least Melifan has a healthy respect for Amira. :D

Good thing you said that, I had given Garroth a Wrist Sheath and Weapon Cord for a Dagger, but forgot to write the Dagger on.
Garroths got 6 weapons if you count each Javelin though :P
lol. I think you should have left the Wrist Sheath empty. It would been funny when you went for the dagger and all that popped out was an empty weapon cord hanging there.
