Because of this, you have special insight into geography as well as expertise in exploring lost places. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (geography) and Knowledge (dungeoneering) checks. One of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you.

Bonus Feat Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.

Skilled Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Sneak Attack (Ex) If you can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from your attack, you can strike a vital spot for extra damage. Your attack deals 1d6 points of extra damage anytime your target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC, or when you flank your target. Should you score a critical hit with a sneak attack, this extra damage is not multiplied. Ranged attacks can count as sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet. With a weapon that deals nonlethal damage, you can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage instead of lethal damage. You cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual -4 penalty. You must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach such a spot. You cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment.

Trapfinding (Ex) You add +1 to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks. You can use the Disable Device skill to disarm magical traps.

Rogue Talent:

Appearance:
Not tall, but dark and handsome, the young personable man is a perfect Varisian sterotype. The flowing black locks, tanned olive skin, warm brown eyes cause maidens to swoon. He has polished manners of the trader type, never giving offense while charming all around. He dresses in the Varisian style, with practical clothes of a simple white shirt, black breeches, green cloak, good boots, with a leather vest for protection. With a small sword, and a visible dagger he completes the look of a young wanderer of Varisia.

The perceptive will note the concealed dagger in his left boot, and the very perceptive can tell that the scarf around his neck is a little heavy but few will believe he is so bold as to wear a bladed scarf around his neck. (He puts a leather sheath over the edges of the blades, when he readies the scarf he whips the sheaths free.)

Background:

Zindelo, is the son of Zandru and Esmerelda, sometime Caravan workers, mostly they worked at the Varisian caravanserai at Magimar. Life was good until Zandru's untimely demise. Things were tough for Esmerlda until she caught the eye of a elderly, widowed Chelaxian factor that often came to the caravanserai. Roscoe Aurious married Esmerelda much to the shock of his children and family. Roscoe never adopted his stepson and his resentful children never let Zindelo forget it.

Zindelo developed an early interest in the ruins dotting Varisia but didn't limit himself as others did to just Thesslionian ruins but also goblin, giant and maybe others.

Roscoe had an older brother, Gaius, that was far more successful-so much so that he made a great marriage to a member of the minor noblity, Lady Jana. She is one of the best known and loved socialites in the city. She knows everyone, merchant or noble that is of worth, and anyone else that is interesting or talented. After her husband's death, she filled her time with hosting many social events. Her children run the family businesses.

She took an interest in her step-nephew, after he served time in the Varisian Guard as a scout. She used him to run minor errands around the city, sometimes to others. She supports many adventures and adventurers and sometimes uses her step-nephew for that as well.

Reason to be in the group: He's a capable young man with many small but useful talents. He also has the support of a very influential minor noblewoman.

The Real Story:

The real story: Lady Jana is spymaster for a clique of nobles that includes the Lord Mayor. Zindelo is one of her many agents. His additional job on the mission is to make sure she knows everything she wants to about what the team is up to and anything else of interest to her they learn.
