The snow becomes increasingly deep in this part of the forest, where a windswept gully carves a path through a tree-covered ridge. A soft cascade of snow falls from an overhead branch, hissing softly as it strikes the ground.
Crossing five feet will require 20 feet of movement in the gully. Nothing exciting searching about and it is fairly silent here.

Garran Oakthorn |

Garran takes a moment to eye the gully. As he does so he returns his shield to its place on his back.
Is it possible to climb the ridge, rather than slog through the gully?
AC drops to 15 without shield.

Domitian Albercoft |

Domitian looks at the gully with a concerned frown. "The snow will make movement difficult, and would make an excellent ambush spot. We should be very careful here."
Take 10 on a perception check, for a result of 18, looking for any tracks or paths through the snow here. Has there been enough snowfall since the lady was taken that we would expect the trails to be gone?

Dragos Mirceanu |

Dragos pushes Cornelius forward, hoping to somehow clear the trail for the others. "I guess we can kiss the tracks goodbye. Let's keep heading this way and hope for the best."
He keeps his eyes peeled for any more traps or foes.
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Domitian Albercoft |

Domitian follows behind Dragos, trying to take advantage of the horse's girth to make his walking easier. He will hold his hammer at the ready, and try to keep a sharp eye out for any ambushers.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Garran Oakthorn |

"Yup. A tactical nightmare." Garran agrees with Domitian. The cleric follows in the tracks made by Cornelius and Domitian. He had considered waiting a bit to open up a gap in their file, but realized that his armor would do that anyway. Best not to make it worse.

Dragos Mirceanu |

Why of course you would, it's just everyday business with no relation to sudden ambushes. And of course I'll have to go first, I'm clearing the trail... sigh.

perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
I'll stay in front a distance away, it works better that way for my style of combat. Ashling moves to near the front of the party , mindlessly moving through the snowy weather without hesitation or care
