I'm thinking he might make a good ally as a scout or possibly camp protector if he and the wolves are well treated.
I'm assuming once we're done with the scene we're proceeding with your plans of fast forwarding a few months and levels to 7th. By then Valasca will have her own wolf companion.
As I recall you are not into the Leadership feat or I might consider taking it to grab up some trog followers and possibly this dude as a cohort.
Valasca is going to search the bodies (in particular the big bugbear's) for a key to the goblin's collar and might as well detect magic while I'm looking.

GM Redelia |

There will be a little bit after this about going back and talking to your trog allies. If you like the goblin, he can certainly stick around, either in your cave settlement or going with you guys. I just don't want leadership as a feat, because that gives individual party members a follower who is their own and paid for with their resources, as opposed to an NPC you keep around.
Valasca looks at the goblin's collar, and finds that it takes no key to remove it, there is just a clasp that is barely out of the little guy's reach.

GM Redelia |

The goblin points at himself and says simply "Garvex." Then he points at the wolf who stays to close to him and says "Kadu." Garvex turns so that Valasca can easily remove his collar. When Kadu seems to get antsy about Valasca coming so close, Garvex pets him and keeps him calm.

Korvak Sunsoul |

While observing the goings on and the byplay, Korvak is mainly observing and on guard
After Valasca has spoken to Garvex "If you help us Garvex we will help you, provide shelter, food and a home for you and your wolves."
Then he goes off to search the camp and bodies for gear

Valasca Fairscales |

To the Goblin:
Garvex we are going to search the camp for useful gear before heading back to our people, you're welcome to join use when we leave.
To the Trogs:
Secure the prisoners, we'll distribute spoils when we get back.
Valasca will use detect magic and help search the camp, I have a +15 to that can I take a 10 fro a 25?

GM Redelia |

Valasca, now that all the enemies are dealt with, you can even take 20 on perception to search the camp and the enemies for stuff.
I think we're done with this part, except for you guys rolling for perception or taking 10 or 20 to collect things. I'll let you know what you find, and then do a bunch of storytelling.
As soon as you've done this, please start to level up to 8. Standard wealth by level. You can buy all kinds of cool stuff at this level, but please don't spend more than 1/3 of your wealth on any one item without asking first.

Valasca Fairscales |

Sweet Xmas I already did most o my leveling to 7th that 8th bump means some shiny buys. I can afford a better weapon now huzzah!
also as a heads up to the GM I dipped one level for Skald as it seemed really appropriate for the character

GM Redelia |

You find plenty of gear to enhance your trog followers, and some potions and similar goodies. (because of the way you just get WBL worth of stuff and are about to level up, we don't need to get into the details of normal items) In the ruins of the bugbear leader's tent, you find a letter, addressed to 'My Worthless Son Scarvinious' giving instructions for hunting down any who escaped Phaendar. It is signed 'Scabvistan.'
You also find some low value but treasured possessions from Phaendar. You find Jet's necklace, and some potion bottle labels that belonged to Rynnha.
You take the treasures you have found and return to your caves. The trogs who came with you return to their home, saying that someone from their tribe will come speak to you soon about making further plans. You settle in for a time of well-deserved rest.
OK, guys, go ahead and change your profiles to include the level ups.

GM Redelia |

You spend a few days settling into your new cave home and checking on your followers. The trogs send a letter, as promised. It says, "When you have gathered your forces enough to take on the Ironfang Legion, contact us and we will aid you. In the meantime, send us word of any threats and we will do the same for you."
The next day, Aubrin takes a stranger into the camp, and asks you to join her for a meeting to talk to the stranger. Aubrin introduces the man a Loric, a Charnisardo ranger, here to talk to you about a possible alliance.

Valasca Fairscales |

Note back from Valscala, "You're warriors fought well, we made a good team. We look forward fighting together again in the future.
To Loric:
"I am Valasca Fairscales a cleric of Gozreh, pleased to make your acquaintance."

GM Redelia |

nope, no secret greeting or anything, Lillie
"We have heard that you are leading those who escaped Phaendar before it was taken over by the Ironfang Legion. I was sent here to see what manner of group you have brought together here, and to see if we should work together to gather allies to oust the Legion."
please roll any diplomacy or intimidate or bluff needed to match up with what you say.

GM Redelia |

"As we’ve begun pacifying the forest and rounding up the scattered remains of the Ironfang Legion here, reports keep coming in from the Hollow Hills to the west of aggressive hobgoblin activity. A few more refugees trickle in every day from communities and caravans put to the sword. If we keep absorbing exiles at this rate, we soon won’t be able to feed or house them all. It sounds as if they’ve secured the whole of the Nesmian Plains and are reaching north of the Marideth River. We’re still reeling from our own losses, but we need more intelligence if we’re going to keep the Legion out of the Fangwood, let alone push back. We know almost nothing about the Ironfang Legion’s activities beyond the local lieutenant’s name: Kosseruk. She’s seized dozens of villages at this point—the closest is Radya’s Hollow, a mining village only thirty miles due west. We’ve not received any word back from the messengers we’ve dispatched to the largest town in the area, Longshadow, but whether that’s because it’s fallen or because our messengers have been captured, I’m unsure. The Rangers can keep the forest secure for now, but we don’t have the power to offset a major offensive if they finish in the Hill and turn east. If anyone is going to stop the Ironfang Legion, we need to know what they’re up to."

GM Redelia |

Garvex hands Valasca a little bag of homemade wolf treats just before you leave.
You gather your supplies, and set out to see what you can find out.
Please roll kn:local, kn:nature, kn:geography, and survival as you wish; I will use these rolls to tell you what you already know about the area you travel through, and also to describe what you find (and maybe what you need to fight)
I'm sorry you guys ended up waiting so long for this post. The site has gone down every time I was ready to post.

Valasca Fairscales |

"Thank you Garvex, Arzool will love them. I'll return to you and the back when I am able."
kn nat: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
kn geo: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
kn local: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Korvak Sunsoul |

"What do we know about the area we are moving through?"
Korvak shrugs "I'm watching Lillie and trying to learn forestry from her." he keeps a keen eye on what Lillie is doing and the signs she appears to be taking note of.

GM Redelia |

OK, with rolls like that, you basically know where everything is around here, and can find your way around easily.
You know the location of the town of Radya's Hollow where you were sent. You also know you will be passing right by a tiny hamlet called Redburrow. Do you want to stop at Redburrow on your way, or go straight to Radya's Hollow?

Korvak Sunsoul |

"With what you've said about the area we should probably stop at Redburrow just to check on the people and check on goings on." says Korvak in a way that invites response

Lillie Blackwood |

Lillie tries not to blush at Korvak's implicit praise. From time to time she points out important little details for his benefit.
She nods at Arcavic's words and adds "some of the less threatening looking of us could go first to avoid misunderstandings, if we need to talk with them for some reason "

Arcavic Vytharia |

To Korvak
"Being well-known may not guarantee they don't fear us - and it's better to not take chances."
When the group gets to Redburrow.
Arcavic narrows his eyes. "The stillness is disconcerting. I do not like it." He draws a rod out of his belt, then casts a spell, the rod glowing, as his magical armor of force appears on him.
Casting mage armor with my lesser rod of extend for 12 hours of mage armor protection.
"Good idea. The rest of us will get closer, but try to stay out of sight."
Stealth to approach unseen: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

GM Redelia |

Valasca, I can't find Arzool's tricks. With intelligence like that, it matters a bit less, but I do need to know if he took attack the second time.
Lillie, the forest sounds are quiet here also, but not more than would be expected so close to a human hamlet. As you come closer, the absolute stillness becomes even more pronounced. It is almost as though there is no one alive in the hamlet any more.
I'm going to say that your frontmost people are just getting to the most outlying buildings now.
I can't answer about Arzool until I know what tricks he has.
