You felt no lie in there, the then again, he didn't make a lot of direct statement.
At the mention of the whispering tyrant, the priest didn't seem surprised at all. But the part about the neighbors, you felt something is bothering him. Especially the part about the Vizier visiting them.
| Anna Dunsany |
Finally feeling like they were getting somewhere, Anna continues to goad them. "Oh, I'm just getting started. Who's your 'patron', really? Those old depictions you've got doesn't really strike me as Gozreh. Too many tentacles. And 'whispers of the waves'? Who really says stuff like that. Naah, you're hiding something in plain sight. Who is it really you're worshiping here? I'll betcha it's a giant tentacle monster with tree trunk-sized legs, huh?"
Anna grins fiercely, standing still but still poised to strike as quick as a snake if necessary. "Is that your neighbor down the bay? Is that why people are disappearing from their houses with no trace? Huh?"
Anna. Making friends and influencing people
| Anna Dunsany |
Anna takes a casual glance at the others who come up next to the acolyte. She gives each an even stare. "Oh, dear, 'nuisance' is the nicest thing I've ever been called. Go ahead: I'm eager to hear what your way of life really is. Enlighten me. Please. 'Cause I'm not leaving until I have my answers."
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (11) + 18 = 29
If you were aware of an opponent before rolling initiative (such as when you ambush an enemy or negotiations break down into combat, but not when both sides happen upon each other or you are surprised), you can attempt a Sense Motive check as part of your initiative check (DC = 11 + the highest Bluff modifier among your opponents or DC 15, whichever is higher). If you succeed, you gain a +1 bonus on the initiative check, plus an additional +1 for every 5 by which you exceeded the DC.

Danica puts her hand on the hilt of her temple sword. In a loud voice so that her friends can hear, "I had enough of this deception and banter. If thou were a man of faith, in all that is good and clean then thou would not send your lackeys upon us. I goodly man would find other ways. I offer you one last chance to repent, for the Bright Lady offers forgiveness. If not then I will send you on your merry way to meet your dark god." Ananias immediately shifts to attention as combat breaks out, with threats flying both ways. The warrior is almost ready to call on his fury when the room becomes enveloped by fog. Deciding he needs to proceed with at least a little more caution, he calls upon his arcane energy. "You pervert your patron's domain, let the fury of nature be your undoing! Vines, grow!" he chants, and a multitude of thin, sinewy vines burst forth from every seam in Ananias' armor. He steps forward into the cloud, seeing an enemy to strike.
Deep in the fog, he finally allows his fury to burst forth. His hands turn to claws as his eyes grow red.

Correct

The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can't use sight to locate the target).
