Wyldyrn's attack destroys the creature as it dispiates back into the ether whence it came from. Calm settles over the crater as the professor chimes in. "Great job my friends..now to test out my new container!" The Professor takes out his container from his backpack and kneels over the crater. He gently dips it over the crater and collects a large sample of ectoplasm. "There that should do it!" He stands and smiles. "Thanks once again my friends. I expect to need you again soon. Look for my letter!

"How very interesting..." Wyldyrn muses as he watches the professor collect the samples. "What do you suppose causes this strange lightning, Professor?" He will spend some time discussing this adventure with the Professor on their journey back.

Wyldyrn thinks back to some lore he'd once heard about this strange and likely haunted manor. "Lady Illirigarde had this place commissioned over 40 years ago and it is claimed to have been bad luck since its creation. She allegedly disappeared from here one stormy night, because that is clearly the only time anyone ever disappears..." He sighs behind his mask at the misconceptions of the small minded. "The last documented person to enter was well over 20 years ago and they ran out screaming, acting strange for several hours afterward." He takes a moment to look at the building again. "I am amazed that the building is not in a worse state. Nature can do much to a building in forty years."

The Black Crow notices that ice is suddenly forming on the walls.
The air becomes chilly, the steel walls frost over, and a
strange vision of the intact laboratory appears in the mirrors.
Lightning from two generators blasts a tiny figure with limp
wings as a woman with a strong widow’s peak observes.
The tiny creature seems confused and screeches in protest
as its arms drift left then right like hands on a compass. The
woman seems displeased with the results and the creature’s
pleading squeals. She shuts off the device, picks up the little
figure, and throws it in a box covered with skulls. She closes
the latch just as the vision fades. The frost begins to blacken
and flake from the walls like ash, and as it does, it clumps
together into hundreds of tiny creatures that twitch with life.
