Sooooo, what are we going to try and get from the QM for this?
Apart from loading up on explosives, that is.
Edit: if I could suggest ammo; on the off chance we are up against Lizardmen or lightly armored enemies, since our guns are already Pen 0, we could get Dumdum Rounds on our primary our sidearms if we can; or even Manstoppers for Pen 3. Shame we don't have Bleeder or Amputator Rounds yet.
I'll also say Tracer Rounds, for those of us with Full Auto guns, are totally worth at least thus far for me.
But yeah, fancy bullets might help a fair bit.

Certain ammo and items are still an issue because of rarity limits, do not forget that. So far they havent had armor so it hasnt been a problem. For Pete he has a sword and a shotgun which usually will hit multiple times in the body. Avg of 6 successes.

In about 12 hours I'll need to make a 2 day trip where I'll be incommunicado. So just bot me while I'm gone.
If we arrive before there's an attack I'm hoping to lay tripwire grenades and have demo charges on any structure they might need to use, or one that would make good cover for them, then blow it up while they use it.
Otherwise it's the same as before, hide, shoot with silenced pistol if hidden, otherwise c-8, rush in with David the Bowie when I can.

Mostly mentioned staying a few days since I don't think we were given a set timeframe for when the attack would occur outside that the next one hit would be the one we're deploying to.
All I remember reading is "Yeah, these hamlets are getting hit at night and they all disappear in that timeframe." with no real indication at the interval between attacks if I'm not mistaken.

There were context clues actually. Our last mission we had the choice to help the people before and that ended with that village being raided and not 24 hours later it was predicted they would raid this village meaning this has been happening fairly daily. If only limited by the distance between said places.

...and now I want excitement by snapping into a Slim Jim XD
BTW anybody else feel like we should leave some cash for those people if we end up blowing up their houses? In probably wouldn't take too much to make it up for "jungle people", I doubt they're making a lot. ...or do we just World Police out of there?

@Browman: To prevent campaign stagnation (I love the concept of this campaign and want to keep taking part as it unfolds), do we have an agreed upon "Auto act" for players that do not respond after a certain period? Life happens, and I get that, but I have noticed we have slowed down a little from our first mission.
If it happens to be our leader who is absent, I recommend designation of an in-game 2IC to keep the party going.
I welcome discussion on the matter! Cheers

Sure , I believe I brought this particular issue up before. We have slowed down, though this was a combination of Brow's Monday IRL game and the weekend it seems. I would place things Pete would do but Im so active and my actions so mutable thats hard to justify fully.

Sorry about the lack of posting guys. Been on holiday since Saturday, and only just got to a hotel with wifi. Didn't expect to not be able to get free wifi in NYC or Philadelphia, but things seem OK here in DC. Should be OK on posting for the next couple of days, then back to NYC to a different hotel which hopefully will have wifi. If not, then I'll be home on Monday.
Sorry again.

So........
If their village winds up in shambles before we pack up and ship out of Mexico, I'm guessing Jack SHOULDN'T wish them a "Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!" Based on his piss poor fellowship score and penalties to interacting with essentially anybody other than his mother, at this point I'd say it's a coin toss.

Sorry guys, I got a new laptop on Friday and have been distracted by computer games all weekend.
When I installed x-com on the new system I also picked up long war. A mod that adds a whole bunch of new stuff including giving each class 2 sub-classes, each sub-class having 3 option per rank, and making the game an order of magnitude more difficult. In other words, it is awesome. Also one of the quotes they have about the mod on their website is from one of the developers of X-com who said something to the effect of "it turns out our game is basically just a tutorial for X-com: long war, and that is ok."

If I had extra money I would have bought you the Deluxe Edition like I did way back. Still waiting for Shen's Legacy... I hope it is what I think it is.
As for Long War, its sooooo good. Btw I like what you have been doing with the Aliens so far, they are distinct but familiar.
