Unlocked Boons:

Evacuation Notice: Each PC can re-roll a failed d20 roll one time
Catching Spies: The party can gain a +4 to initiative rolls for one encounter that includes a construct.
Defensive Wards: Once during the adventure, the party can either turn one critical hit into a regular hit or force a re-roll on an attack.
Reconnaissance: Each PC gains a piece of +1 bane ammunition to use during the scenario.
Strange Things: Once during the adventure, the group gains a +4 bonus to initiative for one encounter that involves an undead creature.
Useful Gossip: Once during the adventure, each PC can re-roll one initiative check, keeping the second result even if it is worse.
Urgent Repairs: Each PC gets one cure serious wounds potion, plus a 3rd level or lower potion without expensive material component.
Dark Archive: Once during the adventure, the group can cause all undead in an encounter to gain the confused condition for 1 round. Any result that causes the creature to damage itself deals additional damage equal to half the group's APL!
Exchange: Once during the adventure, the group can increase the enhancement bonus of their weapons by +2 for one encounter. Any mundane weapons are treated as having a +0 enhancement (e.g. they would increase to a +2 enhancement)
Liberty's Edge: Once during the adventure, the group may activate this boon at the beginning of an encounter to increase their land movement speed by 10 feet for the encounter.
Silver Crusade: The group gains a free use of the Burst of Healing ability listed on the Aid Token Handout, to use at their discretion.
Sovereign Court: The group gains a free use of the Timely Inspiration ability listed on the Aid Token Handout, to use at their discretion.
Grand Lodge: Once during the adventure, the group may activate this benefit at the beginning of an encounter to gain temporary hit points equal to 3 times the APL of the group that last until the end of the encounter (e.g. the group gains 30 temp HP)
Scarab Sage:The group gains a free use of the Allied Offensive ability from the Aid Token handout, except that the resulting bonus damage is multiplied by 150%.

The GM accepts this acceptance (tautology is tautology). Having botting instructions on your profile would be helpful, in case I guess painfully wrong in the future!

To speed up this waiting game, I am going to put initiative on hold for the next 10 rounds (e.g. the remainder of the duration on the pit spell), as it might take a while for you all to find and/or locate the commander. You may all take 10 rounds or 1 minute worth of actions for this next "round" of initiative. Any creative solutions or actions that actually reveal/locate the commander will "re-insert" initiative back at that point; so if you have any particular actions, specifying times/orders of actions would be helpful.

Due to the protracted nature of such initiative manipulation, I will put the deadline for resumption of botting/normal initiative on 10/24 @ 10PM EDT. I will perform "check-in's" or updates on player actions by 10/23 @ 7AM and 9PM EDT, and 10/24 @ 7AM EDT; or whenever I have a break at work (unlikely in retail!). I will also resume initiative if it appears everyone has finished any actions they wish to do for such time.

Torrag Fly-Over:
When you fly over the pit, you are able to see straight down to the bottom. Beyond seeing the remnants of a crushed boulder, you don't see any minotaurs down there. Deathwatch only has a 30-foot range, since the pit is 50 foot deep you would have to descend into the pit (and get chomped by it) to get range on the entire area. Please let me know if you would like to do that. Triggering your follow-up action, your See Invisibility does not reveal anything at the bottom of the pit, though you are now able to see Emyla generally somewhere behind you.

Can Torrag infer the spell from the Faerie Dragon's previous statement or assume Riddywipple tells him the spell?

GM Irish:

Since the pit is extra-dimensional, there is no thickness to the stone past the walls, so I'm not sure if Meld with Stone would work since you need enough stone to actually occupy the square. I understand it might be too late to retcon it though. As a compromise, would me casting Transmute Rock to Mud work to shunt her out?

There is actually no stipulation on the thickness of the walls for the spell, beyond the fact that the walls are "coarse stone." Since the spell is extra-dimensional the walls could theoretically be infinitely thick, similar to the boundaries of a demiplane, as the dimensions (e.g. thickness of the walls) of the pit that extend beyond the normal 10'x 10'x 50' boundaries of the spell would have to extend into another plane of existence. I have also combed through a bit of the forums and have found no FAQ's or guidance on this particular issue. In the interest of making this encounter interesting, and the fact the Priestess' deity has a portfolio that includes stone walls (e.g. labyrinths), I will say the meld into stone functions in this instance. If you are able to find rulings/FAQ's that say otherwise, please do let me know as this is a weird instance.

On the flip side, that also means that she must exit the stone prior to the pit spell ending, as the stone she is in would cease to exist on this plane as the pit fades. Additionally, that also means any stone manipulation spells completely function on the stone walls of the pit (e.g. stone shape); definitely including transmute rock to mud. This is your bailiwick, so feel free to force her out if you wish!

If the hole is full of rocks due to a rocking horse, and the priestess cannot come out of her hiding spot, then what happens when she comes out? I'm guessing this can never apply due to meld's duration being longer than the pit's duration? HOWEVER: how many rocks can I dump there in all these rounds? when she's expelled and take 5d6 dmg then she gets the whole column of rocks on herself yes? what are we looking at damage wise? (in any event this will lead to coolness, and Chaine/Silvermane proceed to continue hauling rocks into the hole the whole time)

Emyla bids her monkeys a tearful farewell after a minute passes. They never even got to steal anything shiny. I suppose there’s always next time…

Rather than more summons, Emyla readies to cast Grease (DC 19 REF) on the commander’s holy symbol (assuming the picture is correct in showing that she holds it on a chain). Nothing else really for the time waiting.

To do so, they will have to burrow in from the pit side, due to the extra-dimensional nature of the spell. So I will just say they scuttle to the edge of the pit and quickly burrow into the pit wall in between wall crunches. They are able to descend 40 feet burrowing as a double move, upon which they encounter the minotaur inside the stone there.

I literally laughed out loud at work when I read the coolness part. Your effort so far might be wasted, as you will see below. There will only be enough rocks left to dump for maybe one more set of 4d6 damage; any remaining efforts will only dump sand/debris that will only be irritating at best.

The crystal spiders encountered the minotaur at the end of their previous round, and immediately begin to sting the minotaur. Unfortunately, both of their attacks are deflected by the creature's armor and magical protections.

Amidst the very unique sound of a mudslide spontaneously manifesting in a continuously contracting 50-foot deep pit, the group hears a very undignified bovine bellow ring out from the bottom of the pit. Torrag at his vantage point is able to see the commander, as well as two crystalline spiders, thrust out of the muddied wall into view. The odd part, however, is that she is now huge sized, and immediately becomes rather firmly stuck by the size of the pit. All current residents of the pit are crunched rather soundly by the pit's contraction, though the spiders seems to avoid a portion of the damage.

In rage, the commander looks directly up at Torrag. She brandishes her (un)holy symbol at him while uttering a blasphemous prayer. A forty-foot high column of unholy fire erupts, the bottom of the column on level with the top of the pit and exploding outwards in a ten-foot radius; catching both Torrag, Chaine, and Silvermane! Need DC 20 Reflex Save from Torrag/Chaine/Silvermane, 34 damage (half is fire), save for half.

Retcon Rewind, no further ret-cons allowed since you should be aware of casting in melee combat: The crysmals attempt to use their touch of idiocy on the minotaur, who promptly takes attacks of opportunity on them for spellcasting in melee combat (Combat Reflexes). The minotaur completely obliterates one, and the other's spell is disrupted by the damage.

Present Time. Crit confirms because of muddy penalties to AC! The minotaur gets blasted in the face directly by the disintegrate ray, though it resists the spells more vicious effects.

It's still down in the pit. You (and I) we're hit by an area of effect spell. You weren't necessarily targeted, you were just close enough to the pit to be caught up in it.

I'm assuming someone has enough UMD to tap me with my wand of CLW a few times (7 times, taking average).

I'm ok with wherever we decide to go.

During the 30 minutes, Torrag gets out his spellbook and fills his 3rd Level open slot with Fireball, his 4th Level open slot with Dimension Door and his 5th Level open slot with Acidic Spray.


If you repeat the minotaur encounters, it does get "harder" in a manner of speaking for tier 10-11. I currently am seeing many 'good either way' and one for trying another minotaur encounter. Rolling two dice in case tie breaker:Decision Roll (1=Minotaur, 2= Undead): 2d2 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 Looks like another minotaur encounter, which is good incidentally as there are less successes there right now compared to the undead ones.

The group wanders around again through the battlefield, and encounters another commander; though this time with some familiar looking bodyguards riding skeletal horses!
