Brutal. Does this fireball take down the caster? It will certainly kill the pally unless she was protected so that seems a little evil. No way the caster could know if the pally is dead, could she? Who in our party is now dead?

No, the caster both made her save and seems to be protected against fire damage - she took minimal damage. Neither of your unconscious colleagues were within the blast radius, though.

Well that is good. What about the Pally? Dead from my spell? I rolled well, but was assuming she would make the save.

The paladin fell from your spell. Save was inconsequential because she. Was very badly wounded. She then took Further damage from the fireball.

I do take some pleasure knowing that the enemy caster, in her desperation, was the one that killed the paladin. :) Who is up?

Everyone is up.

322 delays until after her party acts, hoping that her team can take this caster down. Kill this caster so that this one may attend to our wounded! she says in a rush.

Rataji "the Leader" | AC14/12/13 | F5R7W9 | HP51 |

Rataji is barely standing. Thankfully casting from a wand requires almost no effort. He waits until the caster attempts to cast, then fires in an effort to disrupt the magic.

Was posting, but someone is online on the map, so I'll wait...

The Professionnel moves to flank with 322 and strikes the sorcerer. Provoking AoO

Damages (non lethal): 1d6 + 6 + 4d6 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 6 + (2, 1, 3, 4) + 8 = 26

Sorry, you don't have the movement for that - I had already moved your icon as part of NPCing you when you came on. I've put you back to your original position, so you can replot your move.

AC19(T15,FF14) CMD21| HP 40/45| F +3 R +10 W +6 | Init +5, Perc +12, Sense Motive +12 |

Going out of the cover, Shohiraj strikes the unaware sorceress.

Round 7
[/ooc]The Professional moves forward to attack the half-orc. Unfortunately, when she breaks cover, she loses stealth and her attack does not take the caster by surprise. Unfortunately, the attack does not breach the caster's magical armor.

Rataji readies an attack to disrupt the spellcaster.

322 also delays.

The caster laughes curelly. "Yes, I'd hesitate, too, if I were you! Better run now, I probably won't be able to kill you all if you flee now!" She slashes ineffectually at 322 with her falchion, and then steps towards Zurnzal. Falchion: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10

Zurnzal and the delaying 322 are up!

322 moves away from the caster and casts a healing spell on Marnarius.

Cure Serious: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (8, 3, 7) + 7 = 25

I hope that if Marnarius were dead her Deathwatch spell would let her know.

Round 7 (continued)

322 heals Marnarius, whose eyelids flutter open. 1 away from negative Con!

I agree with Lamplighter here, BUT the rogue could have easily waited to flank with Zurnzal. Not sure why she did not do that. Or She could have used her cloak to go invisible when the fireball hit her. That is what it is for.

I absolutely not agreeing with you on this, but you're the GM so go for it :)
(A rogue could never be stealthy as going out of a cover automatically break the stealth in this interpretation)
@322. As for the cloak, I've choose to not use it as I don't have the same interpretation of the rule. So please don't tell me how to play my character.

Sorry for not catching this earlier... let's give everyone the benefit of the doubt before criticizing actions. I went searching the Paizo forums for any threads that would change my mind, but didn't find any. Because of how facing and perception work in Pathfinder, as soon as you walk out into plain sight, you are unable to use Stealth to conceal your movement before your attack. Ilmakis, if you want to re-declare your actions based on the ruling, that's fine by me.

Also: we do have to pick up the pace a bit if we're going to finish in a reasonable time. Is there anything I can do to speed up play on my end?

Re-reading my post I see that it sounds more critical than I intended. I apologize for that. My actual intent was to suggest that if the DM ruled that stealth would be spoiled the rogue would know that and had other options. That is all I intended.

Rataji "the Leader" | AC14/12/13 | F5R7W9 | HP51 |

Speeding up play? The only thing I can really think of is somehow convincing the dice roller it likes us.

Did Marnarius shot hit the caster?

Round 7 (continued)

Marnarius fires at the caster (only once, since you had to take a move action to stand), hitting her for minor damage.

Zurnzal, 322 are up. We probably can't wait for results of each person's actions before moving on in initiative, though, so please post your actions when you're "up". will modify them based on changing circumstances if the need arises, although with only one bad guy standing there isn't likely much to modify...[/ooc]

Roger that. I am at my computer at the moment so thought I could afford to wait.

322 knows that the Magus is alive but is unsure how close she is to bleeding out so she moves to her and casts healing magic to heal her wounds.

Cure Serious: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (6, 3, 4) + 7 = 20 Note that was my last 3rd level slot.

Round 7 (continued)

322 heals Jolyrin, who comes around. (I show Jolyrin at 17hp now.)

Zurnzal pounds on the caster with both fists. Unfortunately, both attacks miss. Gah, these dice!

Rataji[ readies to disrupt the spellcaster.

322 flies in to surround the caster, drawing a dagger.

Shohiraj also readies to disrupit spellcasting.

Jolyrin sees an enemy across the table and tries to vault across it to get to him. Unfortunately she fails miserably, and gets stuck on the edge of the table.

Rataji "the Leader" | AC14/12/13 | F5R7W9 | HP51 |

Rataji takes the instructions for the ritual to open the tapestry and studies them until the party is ready. He then initiates the process of tearing open a hole in reality.

You all heal up however you wish. Then Rataji enacts the ritual.

A thin slit appears down the middle of the tapestry, and then its whole center tears open in a deafening rip and a crack of thunder. Planar winds whip out from the frayed fabric for several seconds as purple lightning dances in the tattered wound. The gusts die suddenly, and the fabric stretches painfully to create an aperture nearly 10 feet wide, revealing a peaceful woodland occupied by a growing army.

A woman bedecked in chainmail and scars steps through into the room and then motions for those behind her to remain still. She surveys the chamber for a moment before a broad, genuine smile cracks her tough expression. “By Hanspur’s soggy hide, I never thought I’d see this world again.” She shakes her head and wipes away a tear before it can quite form. “The name’s Wolona, bronze rank. We’ve got good news and bad news on the other side. The good’s that everyone we expected to show up did, plus some more besides. The bad news is that some of them are starting to believe we’ve set them up.” Wolona clears her throat loudly as though no more need be said. “The only thing keeping them from just killing each other and the rest of us is my promise that there would be a welcoming committee who might prove this place exists and that it’s not all a trap.” She starts to turn back to the portal. “Think you can give them a little pep talk?”

Wolona hardly waits for the PCs to agree before muttering, “I hope they haven’t killed each other already,” and stepping back into the demiplane. She returns a moment later leading an eclectic entourage of about 15 delegates and war leaders, including humans, a halfling covered in bright war paint, a hag, a wyvaran, a yeti, a pony-sized green dragon, and more. They jostle one another while inspecting the room and prodding the dead Pathfinders.

The wyvaran sneers, looks at you all, and asks, “So which of you is the Aspis king?”

At your words, the motley army commanders roar their approval and immediately begin moving their forces through the gateway, spreading throughout Skyreach, and sneaking across the Grand Lodge’s grounds to cause mischief.

As this occurs, the very young green dragon, Gazwyr by name, approaches the group.

"Greetings, my new friends," he growls, a faint plume of acrid green smoke rising from his maw. "I have been told that you will be attacking the powerful Pathfinder wizard, the one who owns all of the arcane books. Is this so?" His eyes pierce each of you. "If it is, then I will be a part of this expedition. "

(This is a chance for one of you to elect to swap out your pre-gen and instead play the dragon for the remainder of the scenario. I will note that a very young dragon is not a combat monster, but it is a unique opportunity nonetheless.)

My we are a wounded bunch. This total must have been before Zurnzal drank his own potion of cure moderate wounds for 13 and Joliryn will drink her own potion of cure serious wounds healing 19.

322 uses her scroll, casting Heal on Marnarius curing him to full. She then casts Cure Mod on Rataji two times and once on Joliryn. she then casts Cure Light on The Professional and uses her last charge off her wand on Zurnzal. I have done what I could for you my brothers and sisters. I leave you here now to make room for the dragon who should be a better combatant than I. And I leave you this small lantern.
