Depends, do you try it on either chest and which one first? :-)

Grand Lodge

Male Half-Orc Deceased killed in action in service to the Pathfinder's Society.

Belroar examines the copper banded chest for clues.

Perception, maybe something we missed on cursory review: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Belroar:

With a close inspection the copper banded chest begins to fade into a faint outline and you realize that it is just an illusion.

Grand Lodge

Male Half-Orc Deceased killed in action in service to the Pathfinder's Society.

Belroar smirks.

"Illusion! Well gotta give credit to the guy who does that. So, this one is a bust, I destroyed a key on the steel one."

Moadis looks at the dead snake with a far away expression on his face. After awhile he mumbles.
I knew a guy who got biten by a demonic viper during a patrol once. In minutes his lower leg turned purple and started to swell like a ballon. We had to amputate it in the field, right in the middle of the worldwound.
Terrible, terrible business.

The jeweled key does not work in the steel cube's lock, but the golden key does turn, opening the chest. Suddenly, a magical trap goes off turning the floor and nearby wall blue, but Aurelia's successfully resists the coloring effect through force of will.

The interior of the chest contains a map of the Salhar burial vaults beneath Sothis and a wand.

Detect Magic + Spellcraft DC 18:

It's a wand of knock (CL 3rd, 11 charges).

With no real chests left, the remaining key is probably to the door.

As the group moves through the Foreign Quarter to make its way to the Grand Lodge, a throng of people blocks the street ahead. A performance art group commandeers the street, drawing graffiti to create a jolly hellscape complete with illusory devils comically dancing around in circles. A few citizens avoiding the crowd slip off-street through a nearby alley, the only egress past the gathering.

Midway through the alley, several of you recognize the face of a human man who seems to be waiting for you. Although rather unremarkable in appearance, he probably is the man who was watching the group earlier in the day. He is accompanied by two human women and a male halfling with a handlebar mustache. Their body language suggests ill intent.

With one simple gesture, a fiery summoning circle featuring the pentacle of Asmodeus appears in the air before the masked woman; Aurelia's hair likewise catches alight, her eyes burning with hellfire. Despite all the people in the way, Melufiuos' arrow strikes the blonde hiding in the back. Aurelia's fiendish dog appears in front of the other group much to their dismay.

The redhead whistles, signaling the others to action. She then attempts to slashing at the dog with her shortsword, but fails to hit.

The average looking human man moves down the alley to become adjacent to the dog.

The Halfling gets a mad look in his eye and rushes forth 5' to also attack Aurelia's summoned dog with his greataxe. He drops the dog with one blow. 11 Damage. "Only cowards send pets to fight for them!" He taunts afterwards.

With an incredulous look at the arrow in her shoulder, the blonde woman casts a spell from a scroll. A thick fog fills the alleyway around the woman.

Obscuring Mist is in effect. The line on the map indicates where the mist starts. You cannot see anything beyond 5' in the mist, and things within 5' receive a 20% miss chance. "NOOOOOO!!!!" shouts a very distraught elf who is fiercely trying to disbelieve what he has just witnessed. He draws yet another arrow and draws it to his cheek, but he cannot aim. His vision has gone blurry from the sudden tears welling in his eyes. He tries to blink them away but cannot. Rage dissolves his patience and he releases the shaft anyway.

Bow: 1d20 + 3 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 1 = 9 (no -4 cause halfling is not in threat range?)
Dmg: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

I was very tossed between trying to kill the halfling as fast as possible or casting shield on himself. In hindsight, I should have chosen to buf.

Valik can only watch as the halfling's blade cuts into Belroar so deep and so quick. Valik, watches as his comrade falls to the ground, lifeless and blood gushing from the wound. He has a tear start to firm, but catches it. I can shed a tear after the vile group is brought down.

Valik, disgusted at the thought, steps over Belroar's fallen body and takes out his anger on the halfling.

FoB, def, 1: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (1) + 2 - 4 = -11d10 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
FoB, def, 2: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 2 - 4 = 171d10 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

AC is 20 right now :)

@Mel, with Moadis in front of you, his physical presence acts as cover against your ranged attack, giving the halfling a +4 AC to your attack.

Melufiuos fires an arrow at the halfling, but it hits the side of a nearby building instead of its intended target. Valik then strikes out at the murderous halfing. His first attack comes nowhere close to hitting him, but the second solidly connects!

Wiping the blood from his face, a crazed smile forms on the halfling's lips, "You're next."

Ophelia, Aurelia, and Moadis are up.
