Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus raises a brow at the price. Seeing no one offer anything up, he sighs. He digs through the collective gear and takes out the kraken carving. "Here. This is worth 200 gold. If we can, could we get another potion for the rest of 50 gold? If not, then can we get the extra back?"
Diplomacy (if needed): 1d20 ⇒ 2
Wow. That stinks. Aerodus has as much diplomacy as Nolan's Batman.
Jirani Shores
Jirani offers a low whistle and holds up his hands, None for me, I am fine with what we have. I'm ready to go, FYI
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus frowns and shakes his head. "Not happening."
Ready to go as well.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
I agree. If we're going to work in sync with them, then we need to know the plan.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus follows the group to the rebels, cracking his knuckles and his neck in anticipation for a fight.
Ready to go. Let's do this!

Alright, back at the city of tents, on one of the larger tents is where the ambush plan is being concocted; there is a handful of people there, some you've met and some others you haven't, they have a large map on a table of a stretch of road with some wooden wedges on it and some coins. So far they're still in the planning phase, with the general idea of ambush them with all they have
Lia Vantas
Lia walks over to the tent where the planning is happening, stepping inside and peeking at the map.
"You're planning to simply ambush the Hellknight transport and hope for the best?" She asks whoever seems to be in charge of the planning. "One question before I chip in--how many of you are experienced in combat?"
Just swarming them is going to end badly...
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus sits down and listens to the plan, absorbing as much info as he can.
Lia Vantas
Lia purses her lips.
Not especially reassuring.
"Okay... now, please correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've gathered so far, the working plan here is that you intend to swarm the Hellknight convoy and hope for the best." Lia looks back at the map and leans on the table.
"Aerodus, what do you think?" She looks over at the ranger, her disapproval of the plan obvious in her eyes.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus sighs and stands. He leans over the map. "All right. It seems that you lot know the route that the convoy's taking. What if we were to chop down some trees and have it so they're blocking the road?" He then places some sticks across the road on the map. He then places the item that represents the convoy near the sticks. "That way, they'll have to stop and try to figure out how to go around or take the time to move the trees. That should hold them and distract them while we attack. It may be difficult considering that we're the best combatants. The rest of you should stay back in hiding."
"Next, even if we have the road blocked, the Hellknights should put up a fight when we strike. And we're unaware about how many to expect or the level of skill they have. Which is why we should try to sabotage them in the time before they set out. Rig the transports to fail. Loosen the locks on the cell doors so they'll open without much effort. Try to drug those that are going in a subtle way by drugging their food or drink. Try to replace their weapons with lower grade replicas. Things like that." He looks around. "Anyone here in a position to do this?"
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus sighs in frustration. "Very well. Then we'll just have to block the road with trees in order to stop them in a single place."
Jirani Shores
Jirani scratches idly at his beard. If we have the resources we could also use, perhaps, a broken down wagon or some such thing. That would have the advantage of perhaps have a few people "working" on moving it that can then ambush from the front while others come from the rear?

"I've seen a half dozen of them in most convoys they make, surely it can't be much more than that, no idea on how well they're trained but they look good with a sword" someone mutters
"They sleep in the castle, and don't stop until they're in another castle" someone else grunts
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus rolls his eyes at Andando's suggestion. When one of the rebels makes his statement, Aerodus nods in agreement. "Precisely. If we were in charge of several captured high ranked criminals, I don't think rest would be a risk we'd take."
When Jirani makes his suggestion, the ranger gives a small smile. "Set rebels up at the front and play the part while the others come at them from behind. Then, attack from both sides to flank them and box them in. Not a bad idea, Jirani."
Jirani Shores
Jirani bows his head at the ranger in respect, a subtel grateful flush coming to the inquisitor's cheeks.
Jirani ticks his head towards Lia, Enough time for a rest and relearning your magics? I still carry all my spells for the day and the rest of us can work in shifts with the group here and catch rest as we can... Perhaps we should scout the route to find a good spot for the ambush unless someone here knows of a good spot already? The young Garundi man moves his head and speaks up on the last point to be sure others can hear what he is saying...
Lia Vantas
"That sounds like a good idea, Jirani. Scouting out the best possible spot for an ambush would be ideal." Lia nods. "And if I'm going to be of any help, I need to rest and refresh my magics."
"Think you could scout out a route without my help, for now? Or would you like me to come with you?"
Jirani Shores
If they already have a spot prepped I offer that we might "montage" to the next relevant moment? In so much that if its just prep and rest without incident we might need to type that all out? Assuming there is nothing of incident, of course ;p
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus cracks his neck and knuckles. "Let's get going."
Ready.

Its early morning, the resistance have taken you to a lonely stretch of road just out of the city, far enough for no one to be watching. Its a fairly unused road so there really shouldn't be anyone interrupting your work. What do you guys want to do?
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus mainly keeps an eye out for any wanders, Hellknights, or the like.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 23 vs humans
He also aids in setting up the broken cart and finding a prime location for the ambush.
I can't tell which one would work.
Survival? to find ambush location: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Knowledge (nature)? to find ambush location: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
Since I'm a ranger, can I make ranger traps?
When should we drink those potions? Also, are we in control in what appearance we take?
Jirani Shores
You get to "pick" when the spell activates within the confines of the spell. Basically the drinking of the potion signifies the trigger but you control the use. These were level 5? So we kinda want to drink them when a scout or something says they are a few minutes out?
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 WOW
Clearly out of his element in this part of the wild the young Garundi man struggles to aid in the efforts to set up the ambush.
Lia Vantas
Sounds like a good idea--taking the potions when the convoy is a few minutes away will give us time for the magic to settle in.
With her memory refreshed with new magic, Lia opts to stay out of the others' way. Aerodus and the others look like they've got the situation handled, for the most part...
