Aerodus smiles as two of his arrows are usable again. But one of them broke when it pierced through the rat. Not seeing the point in wasting something that can be fixed, he puts the shaft of the arrow back into his quiver. Turning to Lia, he frowns before placing his hand under her chin and pulls it up. "Eyes front. Head up." He leans to her ear. "Worry about it later. You can talk to me if you wish to vent."

Thinking about taking Craft: Arrows later on. Imagine what I could make! I want to make very powerful arrows! Though the enchantments I'm thinking about will require some magical aid. Also, I want to skin animals for their skin so I can get things made. There are threads on skinning animals here and here. The second thread has a post from James Jacobs. So, ulgulanoth, what's your ruling?

The problem is that skinning the rats would take about 5 minutes each, and in that time the hell knights can easily catch up

The party moves forward without skinning the rats, moving as fast as they can and paying attention to the markers showing the direction.

I've thought about throwing the rat's bodies away at the current but it would be pointless since the blood would still be there.

If ulgulanoth feels fine DMPCing him then its more than fine he stays but we wouldn't be the first rogueless party in the world if he feels like he doesn't want the hassle. GM call as far as I see it.

Aerodus climbs the rest of the way through the hatch, helping the others up. "No one's around. Just a stone room with some columns. Half of them are destroyed. There's sunlight coming through the roof."

Lia practically scrambles up the ladder as soon as Aerodus gives the all-clear.

"Oh, thank the gods--fresh air!" She gasps, falling on all fours and taking a deep breath.

She promptly starts coughing again--the lingering stench of the sewers still clings to her clothes. She casts a familiar-sounding spell--the grime on her clothes begins to disappear once more.
