You have to make a grapple check to pick up a maggot.
Like 50 pounds. Depends on the individual maggot but there's no more variance either way then 3 pounds or so. They're big honking maggots.

The flies without the blue outline are hovering just above the ground to get into position for their attacks, so they can be melee attacked normally.
It's not clear because you guys can't see me position the area-of-effect, but it's obvious the flies don't use the column of fire thing near the maggots.
Also: Don't forget to heal the halfling. People always forget to heal the halfling.
Also Also: Celestial Giant Fly "My babies! My babies!"
Knowledge, Arcana: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
You couldn't say anything about this creature's lifecycle, but you do happen to know that Celestial Giant Flies are vulnerable to spells. Any kind of damaging magic is especially effective against them.
This game is going so slow.... :/

Yeah it's puppet time. We've got a player who hasn't been posting and I think he's dropped out, so his character just became my character until we hear from him.
To be clear: I'm not just puppeting Athraz for one action, as far as I'm concerned he's my new character until I hear from his player.
A couple of magic missiles wouldn't have gone amiss, what with the 150% damage they deal to the flies.
I only have prepared one, but with your hint I'll shoot another using Arcane Bond. ;)
What happened to the other players BTW?
Should we consider this PbP abandoned or do we continue with multiple GM puppets?
