[PFS] WE Be Goblins One, Too, Free! (Inactive)

Game Master Paladin of Baha-who?

---MAP---

So, I missed out on a chance to play WBGF on Free RPG day because I got to my FLGS late and all the tables were full. I got my hands on a copy of it, though, so I want to run it for PFS credit.

I'm looking for people interested in running through possibly all three WBG modules back-to-back. If I can't get people interested in all three, I'll consider doing just the second and third.

The module ranges are 1-2, 2-4, and 3-5. All 1-2 modules are evergreen, so even if you've played WBG before, you can play it again and apply it to a different character. These do not need to be applied to the same character, however, you'll get the most benefit from the boons on the WBG Free sheet if you apply it to a character that has played one of the other two first.

Use of the Pregens or Goblin PCs are required. If you have a goblin boon PC in the appropriate range, you can use them. Although there are only 4 pregens, a 6-person table is possible by duplicating pregens.

I will only run one table at a time. I promise to post at least every other day, usually more often, especially during combat, and if a player hasn't posted for 24 hours during combat I'll move for them to keep things going.

So who's with me? Who's ready to kill some dogs, light some fires, harass some longshanks, and cause some mayhem?

I place interest in this. Goblin!

I could be tempted.

Dibs on Chuffy ;-)

I be in, Me gobs

I'm in!!!

Would love Poog!

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

I'd prefer to make a custom goblin PC, not a fan of using pre-gens

Silver Crusade

PFS only allows Goblin PCs if you have a specific race boon, which they often give out as prizes at conventions and such.

Ey! This guy right here! Pick me! Pick me!

Silver Crusade

OK, so far we have:

Lokiel
Some Random Goblin - dibs on Chuffy
Mic Staby
PatheticWretch - dibs on Poog
Derpdidruid

This is enough to get going, although I'll take up to one more character.

So, just to review - if any of you have Goblin PFS characters, who have a Goblin Boon chronicle associated with them, you can use them. Otherwise, you can assign the WBG chronicle to any 1-2 character, the WBGToo chronicle can be assigned to any 2-4 character or, if you use a pregen, can be held for future application (in the usual pregen fashion), and WBGFree can be assigned to any 3-5 character or be held with a pregen.

Here is a link to the 1st level Pregens for We Be Goblins.

Here they are in Statblock form:

Reta Bigbad:

Reta likes to torment small, harmless animals and usually
has a pocket full of such creatures in case she gets bored.
She finds it hard not to shout when she speaks, and loves
taking risks in combat to scare her enemies.

Unlike many goblins, you’re not particularly afraid of
dogs. You know what dogs smell like, and that smell
makes you mad. Very mad.
Prerequisite: Goblin, Skill Focus (Perception)
Benefit: You gain the scent ability, but only against
canines (including dogs, goblin dogs, wolves, worgs,
yeth hounds, and any similar creature, subject to GM
approval). Against these creatures, you gain a +1 morale
bonus on attack rolls and a +2 morale bonus on weapon
damage rolls.

Goblin Trait: Balloon Headed
Your head is particularly wide and large, even for a
goblin. You gain a +1 bonus on Perception checks, and
Perception is always a class skill for you. Any Escape
Artist checks that requires you to squeeze your head
through a tight space take a –8 penalty.

Chuffy Lickwound:

Sadistic Chuffy is horrible indeed. He loves to sneak up
on his enemies and stab them. If he gets the chance, he
also likes to light fires—lighting fires is Chuffy’s idea of
great fun, almost as enjoyable as causing big explosions.

eyes (equivalent to 1 day’s trail rations),
child’s doll with the eyes taken out, grappling
hook, 3 tindertwigs, curved sewing needle, set
of thieves’ tools, cowbell (worn)

Goblin Trait: Pustular
Your face is covered in unpleasant pimples and outright
boils that have a tendency to pop at inopportune
moments. Although this makes you particularly
ugly, you’re also used to discomfort. Whenever you’re
subjected to an effect that causes the sickened condition,
you may make two saving throws to avoid the effect (if
a saving throw is allowed), taking the better of the two
results as your actual saving throw.

Quote:

Chuffy’s Song

Chuffy’s face might make you sick,
But Chuffy’s knife is awful quick.
And if you are his stabby pick—
Then knife goes in you, stick stick stick!

Poog of Zarongel:

Poog is a frightening little cleric of the goblin deity
Zarongel, the sacred god of dog-killing, fire, and
most holy mounted combat. That Poog isn’t very
good at mounted combat is his not-so-secret shame,
so he funnels most of his energy into attempts to
overachieve at his god’s other sacred teachings—
killing dogs (although he hasn’t yet killed one,
he hopes to do so some day) and lighting fires
(something that Poog is already pretty good at).

toad), jar of pickled fish heads (the equivalent of 1 day’s trail
rations), 6 torches, flint and tinder, almost empty salt shaker,
pig’s tail (snack), wooden flute (too
splintery to play for long without injury)

Goblin Trait: Goblin Bravery
You have a worrying propensity for
overconfidence in combat. When facing an
enemy that’s larger than you, if you have no allies
in any adjacent squares, your posturing, bravado, and
cussing grant a +1 trait bonus on attack rolls with nonreach
melee weapons.

Quote:

Poog’s Song

Poog say Zarongel is the best,
He help burn things and heal the rest.
Zarongel’s favor makes Poog blessed.
And Poog also stab you with knife if you make fun of how he isn’t good at riding animals.

Mogmurch:

Ten-year-old Mogmurch is deranged. Mogmurch lives
with his mate Rempty, who has an irritating habit of
licking his face clean in public (especially when he leaves
the village). She thinks his use of alchemy is very clever,
and while she loves the flavor Mogmurch’s experiments
leave on his face, she worries that he’ll some day blow
himself up when she’s not around to watch.

Other Gear leather armor, club, lucky pet toad “Amfibier,”
spectacles (for show), gourd of pickled leeches just about
ready to eat (counts as 1 day’s field rations), juicy slug in a
small pot (snack), skull face mask, metal codpiece, jester’s
hat, pumpkin-head lantern, black eyepatch (with hole
cut in it to see), hard leather boot (used as belt pouch),
formula book (contains all extract formulae known)

Goblin Trait: Bouncy
Your bones, flesh, and skin are a bit more elastic than
those of most goblins—when you fall, you tend to
bounce a little better than them as a result. Whenever
you take falling damage, the first 1d6 points of lethal
damage suffered in the fall are automatically converted
to nonlethal damage. You also gain a +2 bonus on all
Reflex saves made to avoid unexpected falls.

Mogmurch’s Song

Things go boom when Mogmurch throws,
Much more fun than using bows.
Sometimes where the boom boom blows
Is not my fault—that’s how it goes.

Sounds good. PatheticWretch here with Poog.

If you would open the gameplay and discussion I'll dot in.

Thanks! I'm excited. :)

I'll go with Chuffy

Sounds good to me :-)

Alias updated with the appropriate statistics :-D

Silver Crusade

Two Chuffys: perfectly fine.

Discussion and Campaign threads now open.

Dark Archive

"Me want to play again! Show how Big am Reta! Show how bad am Reta! Show how Pretty am Reta!"

Played the first one, but interested in numbers 2 and 3 if possible

Silver Crusade

Since 1 is evergreen, you could play it again and assign it to a different character.

Dark Archive

I know, but I would like to continue with this character if possible.

Silver Crusade

Well, after the first one, Too and Free could be assigned to the same character you assigned your first WBG chronicle to.

The only thing is, unless you've got a chronicle sheet that lets you play a goblin, your regular PFS character can't be a goblin, even if you started out playing WBG. In addition, WBG doesn't give enough XP to get you to level 2. However, if you'd like to wait until we play WBG2, you can certainly join us at that time.

Dark Archive

Alright, I guess it would be best if I wait for WBG2. Thank you for letting me know. I'll keep an eye on the thread to see when you're wrapping up.

I would love to play as Mic Staby and keep him as a non-official PFS character where I can play for no credit. But I know not a lot of people would like that. I'll make a new alt with Chuffys stats, Mic Chumy Stab...

Silver Crusade

Unfortunately, according to the PFS rules, even characters played for no credit must be legal PFS characters or pregens.

Mogmurch is what I will go with if that's alright.

Silver Crusade

Certainly. Please note as well that the name and gender of the pregens can be changed to suit the player. If you want to play a fighter but don't want to play Reta specifically, you can play a male or female goblin fighter of the same stats but a different name.

-Posted with Wayfinder

Silver Crusade

Lokiel, are you still up for it if you need to use a pregen? These are very amusing Goblin characters.

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

I can work with e renamed male rita, or even better. I could play Mogmurch

Silver Crusade

A fighter would be helpful in the team we have now, but a second alchemist would also be welcome. Whichever you'd prefer is fine.

Silver Crusade RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16

Are you guys all full up? I would be interested if you've still got space. :)

Silver Crusade

Yes, the more the merrier (up to a max of seven of course). I would ask you avoid playing Chuffy or Mogmurch, since we've got two of each of those already, assuming Lokiel goes with his preference for Mogmurch. After the first module, we have a sixth player planning to join us to play Reta.

Silver Crusade RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16

Well then, I'll jump in with a Poog. Probably refluff him as Goog. Yay!

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

I accept Mogmurch wholeheartedly

Silver Crusade

Initial post is up in Gameplay.

damn, saw this too late :/

Silver Crusade

I'm going to try to include the We Be Goblins Free playthrough in the Online Gameday 4 event.

Pathfinder PF Special Edition Subscriber

I'd like to join you for WBG Freeduring Gameday. I'll take any, but Chuffy if I get to pick.

To be clear, if we're already in this we don't need to sign up again, right?

Silver Crusade

Correct! TomG, I'll be in touch with you in the near future.
