Orophin heads towards the water.

"We must save her!"

On the off chance that was a charm person, Orophin is an Assimar and thus not a Person (humanoid) but rather an outsider(native) and thus not subject to the spell. Doesn't mean he wouldn't help a maiden in distress though.

It was not a charm person. The only thing that would make you immune to this would be something like a protection from evil or being immune to mind-affecting charm effects.

Sorry, not entirely sure where we are in initiative, but if we're in round 2 now, here's Dorn's action:

"Bloody gods, the watery tart's got him too!" Dorn snarls. (I assume he might make that supposition given his own experience, regardless of whether or not he makes the check)

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Which he does not

Dropping his axe, Dorn turns and barrels towards Orophin. "DON'T GO IN THERE, SINGIN' MAN! YOU CAN'T SING WITH YOUR LUNGS FULLA WATER AND YOUR HEAD CHOPPED OPEN!"

As he reaches the slender musician, Dorn tries to wrap him in a bear-hug, somewhat hampered by the fact that Dorn still has his shield on one arm.

Attempting to grapple Orophin. Dorn does not have Improved Grapple, so this attempt would provoke from Orophin if a) Orophin is armed and b) the charm effect would compel him to strike at an ally who was trying to impede his progress.

Grapple CMB, -4 for not having both hands free, rage: 1d20 + 7 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 - 4 + 2 = 14 Fail, regardless

Protection from evil on Orophin. I belive he gets another save with a bonus.

It acted, now it's all of us, though Orophin/Avril/Dorn have already posted actions. It's the same place in initiative as the pegasus was. I wonder if the pegasus can do something to it somehow? Beomir can also summon dolphins. Blindsight pretty much ignores stealth, correct? Though again kinda awkward for Dorn that Avril is before him in initiative.

Dorn can revise his action in light of Avril's. Note also that part of the reason for the perception modifier is the distance involved. If you get closer, you can see better. Also, Orophin can remember where he saw the creature last, and can point the square out.

"But something out there still is." He turns his attention towards the water.

"We can lay the equine to rest later."

He moves a little closer to the river, though not as close as the others. "Is it some sort of fey?" He asks, though hard to tell if he sounds hopeful or just curious. "What did it look like?"

Possible to make a knowledge check as to what it might be based on its actions thus far?

Strang can recall several types of fey that lurk in waterways and use magical compulsions to lure mortals to their doom. Given the location, it seems likely that this could be a Nixie, a Kelpie, a rusalka, or a fossegrim.

Assuming Zac is in delay right now.

Beromir catches a glimpse of an alluring woman in the water, but knowing that it's likely another trick of the creature, manages to avoid losing control.

Something is happening each and every round. Do no one have ranged weapons? I'm planning on using summons as mentioned. Glitterdust would be awesome in the current situation and I'm sure there are other ways to combat near invisibility. Sorry, con wiped me out exhaustion-wise.

Dorn has no intention of running out into the water to tangle with something that can get in his head. Growling curses to himself, he runs back over to where he dropped his axe, unwilling to leave that behind, and snatches it up.

"I don't see why we want to stand out here lettin' it cast witchery on us! Let's just get away from the damned water, if it wants to come out an' chase us then on proper land we can break its face then," he says, repeating his earlier suggestion.

Move action to return to where he was earlier on the map, move action to pick up his axe, but on his next round he fully intends to move at top speed away from the water.

I certainly do have a ranged weapon, I just don't see the point of spending time chucking rocks at a foe that will just try and keep cycling enchantments on us if its tactics to date are any indication. We'd nickel and dime it with ranged weapons, most likely against a +8 improved cover bonus, while waiting for someone to fail the save, and then burn resources (Prot evil, etc) keeping that person from drowning. Hence my advocating drawing back from the water, and forcing the enemy to either come to us, or making it not-be-a-threat and letting us continue on our primary mission. If you want to throw dolphins at it, feel free.

Alright, Zac can have the combat he's been waiting for.

With a cry that sounds somewhat like a woman, somewhat like a dying horse, and something unlike anything else heard before, a creature bursts out of the water next to Dorn. It is vaguely humanoid, but with slimy, transparent skin, webbed hands, long, black hair like dead sea-weed, and a snaggletoothed, horse-like face. I encourage you to zoom in on the icon I found for it -- very creepy-looking image!

Dr. Strang, you can use your earlier roll, or roll again if you prefer.

DC 14 Knowledge (Nature):
This is a Kelpie. An evil sort of shapeshifting fey, it is known to lurk in waterways, seas and lakes, often near towns or roads, and is believed to feed on unwary travelers. (As usual, +5 gets you more information.)

Perhaps infuriated by the resistance to its charms, the creature slams at Dorn with one of its long limbs. As the dwarf reels from the blow, the creature wraps its long arms around him, holding him tight. "SO HUNGRY!" it bellows. "You couldn't be a nice little morsel and drown yourself for me, so we'll do this the HARD WAY!"

Dorn takes 5 damage and is grappled. Dorn, please apply the appropriate penalties to your rolls.

Strang turns, as the creature finally gives up on its subterfuge, and emerges from the river.

"Ah, would seem it does not wish us to depart after all." He mutters.

Knowledge (nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 (ha, miss by one!)

"Some sort of Fey?" He asks, clearly unsure.

"Not of a sort I am familiar with anyway." He adds thoughtfully. "Definitely some equine properties though."

He glances at the zombie for a moment. "A sense of irony perhaps?" He muses. He reaches out concentrating for a moment, then touches the creature on the flank and says something in his native tongue.

Osirion:
"Diodalus, avenge yourself."

Using his Bolster domain power on the pegasus zombie. (a few brief bonuses, the important one being a +1 to hit)

He tells the pegasus to partial charge the fey creature and attack.
I see its attack roll for such things from its attack on Zak earlier, but not sure what its damage is, will assume normal zombie template on a pegasus, so a slam of 1d8+5

ZPeg Attack, charge, bolster, flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 24, for 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 damage.

He follows behind it.

The combined blows of the party and the controlled Zombie pegasus reduce the fey attacker to a bloody, broken carcass.

With the thread dealt with, an examination of the dead body they have found reveals a human in the garb of a hunter, with his head caved in by the blow from a hoof. "Why, this is Dougal," exclaims Riddywipple, recognizing his late friend. "What a shame -- who's to blame!?"

On the body, you find a set of well-made bracers and a bag of finely ground powder, as well as a purse containing 500 gold pieces.

Avril shakes her head with a sad look on her face. "Such a shame, but we got someone else we need to rescue. Hopefully finding her will also tell us who did this. Let me just summon back Cryxial". After speaking she starts chanting underneath her breath, keeping her voice down in order to not trouble the conversation of the others.

Start summoning back Cryxial, which will take about a minute.
