Half-melted blocks of green glass lie thick on he floor. A crumbling archway to the north leads into another chamber, while a door to the west leads into the round tower at the southwest corner of the building. To the east, a barricade of rubble and wooden stakes blocks a passage leading into the tower.
Does anyone not have darkvision?

![]() |

The rest of us have Darkvision? Are we no longer in combat then? As Isobel, Lad and I have made our combat posts...

sKrEeK peers between Jaware's legs, ensuring they are protected from attack by the hulking Tiefling.
"Yes yes, sKrEeK can see Isobel, seems as dark as sewer tunnel, sKrEeK can see fine"

![]() |

perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Goblins don't have darkvision do they?
"Hey, most of us can see fine in here. Do you think you could trust us Isobel? That light might attract more nasty goblinses..."

![]() |

Isobel frowns. "I'm not sure how much help I'll be without any light..."
Okay, so to be clear here, it seems we are either 1) in an area of magical darkness that we need to move through quickly so I can see or 2) my light source, or a torch, or anything else we could use for light, should illuminate more than 5'. So let's move on and see what's going on.

![]() |

sKrEeK hushes the group for a moment before pointing to the south, the Ratfolk's voice a whisper in the cavern.
"Voices to the south, yes yes, behind the Barricade. We should move carefully, I can throw a bomb when closer to disperse enemies yes yes."
Once Jaware and Lad start to move on, sKrEeK follows carefully, Crossbow still held ready.

![]() |

Jaware shouts in common "Surrender now, your darkness tricks don't work on us."
I am happy to do other things than fight where some people can't see what's going on, will defendmyself if they attack though.

![]() |

sKrEeK decides to follow the big man's lead and peers out from behind the ugly Tiefling, his crossbow is still out but not pointed at the Goblins. The ratfolk tries to look stern and threatening to the goblins.
"Yes yes, drop weapons and come out quietly, your barricade will burn nicely!"

"Yeah, get out now or we'll start throwing all sorts of nasty things at you!

sKrEeK starts as he sees the extra gobin and dog from round the corner as well as those behind the barricades.

Yeah, dancing lights is 4 orbs of light so you should get to choose 4 squares to illuminate.
Jaware did shout a warning, so one would assume you'd send lights to see the enemy.

Even in the dim light, the goblins can see Isobel's great beauty, and she turns her deadly gaze on the in purple.
Okay, I'll send one light south and one east to see them. Casting Daze, DC 19 Will on the purple goblin.

A 5' step to flanking and a dagger attack against the goblin dog does not provoke. So I don't take any damage. I've also got 17 AC so it would have missed anyway...

Giving out a worried squeak as they are bitten, the Ratfolk looks to the plucky Gnome as his saviour, he looks at the Dog to see if it falls to the shock before thinking of his next move.
The dog has taken a lot of bee stings so I think it is down, but I will post two options in case:
sKrEeK cheers for Lad and then drops his dagger to the floor, with his free hand he mixes another explosive and hurls it at the Goblins firing at him!
Bomb vs Red Goblin, Touch, PBS: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 for damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

He then scurries away behind the wall and Lad for safety from reprisal.
Crying out in frustration, sKrEeK lamely thrusts at the flanked goblin dog with his Dagger.

How has the dog only taken 4 damage? i have dealt it 3 with a bomb and 2 with dagger attacks at least. Lad has also attacked it a fair few times, most recently 2 damage from shocking grasp, 3 from a ray of frost and one non-lethal from a rapier so thats mor like 10 and one non lethal

The Magus class grants spell combat at level 1, which is like two weapon fighting but one is a spell (hence the concentration checks for casting in combat). This is why I've been takin -2 on all my attacks too.
My archetype limits the amount I cam do it, but its only a swift action to turn it on/off, and I am keeping track of the number of rounds I have used up.
The dog should be downed.
Also, daze should be preventing goblin attacks, so you need to make the save before they attack.
