No Anglican clerics, but I did make a rare sighting of a RyanH/Kyra in the wild today!
So no beer and oysters for you this time, Lhug? That’s no good.
Can’t we just bot DrGabe while he’s away and keep playing? :)

![]() |

There seem to be new pbp games starting up all the time.
There are also new PFS pbp GMs running games and the standard seems to be really high.
With your play-style and posting record I’m sure you’ll find something you like, Lhug.

![]() |

Whew... I am back from GenCon.
It was a blast (war stories to be told for many generations). So much fun in fact I had to go to the doctor when I got home (mostly a true story).
Let me get my bearings straight and we will get this party back on the rails.
Expect the start of the epic ending tomorrow. Until then, feel free to bot me!

![]() |

welcome back!

![]() |

Hey, DrGabe! Glad you had a good time.
Did you bring back a present for Lhug? I think he was pining. :)

![]() |

Sorry, lost the bit on the motherboard that makes the backlight work. Something inverter I think. Sadly, paizo is on the generic list of pages blocked by my works IT dept. working on being back.

![]() |

I read “Backlight” as “BLacklight” and thought, I know computers are getting slicker all the time, but I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to emit ‘black light.’
Hang in there, DrGabe. I think we managed to amuse ourselves for a few days – though actual gaming is always more fun of course.
Lore, are you in Cali? Hope the earthquake didn’t affect you.

![]() |

Thanks, but I am in so calif so we didn't even feel it here... I do feel for those in Napa Valley and that area as 6.0 is pretty big and people were hurt and homes damaged. Very sad and scary.

![]() |

Yes that was about the gist of it!
Alright, that was a long one. But part two is over... and here is what you get.... but first, I'll get proper sheets up to everyone tomorrow night. I plan to run part three. All of those interested, please say so. I know a few will want to bow out and we might need to grab another player or two (we don't have to though).
Also, you have Day Jobs, now is the time to use them.
Ok... here are the guts of the chronicle sheet:
Gold about, 1800
Items: gem of brightness (2 charges; 520 gp, limit 1) scroll of ghostbane dirge (150 gp; Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide 225) scroll of resist energy (150 gp) wand of lesser restoration (10 charges; 900 gp, limit 1) wand of protection from evil (10 charges; 150 gp, limit 1)
+1 dragon bane scimitar (8,315 gp) +1 seeking bolts (167 gp each, limit 5) gem of brightness (12 charges; 3,120 gp, limit 1) oil of greater magic weapon (CL 8th; 1,200 gp, limit 1) potion of haste (750 gp) scroll of remove disease (375 gp) spellguard bracers (Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Equipment 275)
And... you become Mythic for Part 3!
Mythic Pathfinder: You have received the blessing of the Ruby Sage, who granted you some of her power so that you might retrieve the stolen sage jewels and find the Diamond Sage. When you begin Pathfinder Society Scenario #5–16: Destiny of the Sands, Part 3: Sactum of the Sages, you gain the following abilities for the duration of the scenario. Alternatively, as long as you have a copy of Pathfinder RPG Mythic Adventures, you may apply 3 mythic tiers to your character when playing that scenario; all character options in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 are legal for play, as are the character options in Pathfinder Player Companion: Mythic Origins. Mythic: You are considered a mythic creature, which may affect how some spells and abilities affect you. Ability Score: Increase an ability score of your choice by 2. Exceptional Deeds: You gain two special abilities from the Mythic Power 2 Chronicle sheet. Hit Points: You gain 12 hit points.
You get the following Mythic abilities: Hard to Kill, Mythic Power, Surge, Amazing Initiative, & Recuperation
You also get two of the following:
Absorb Blow, Beast's Fury, Fleet charge, Legendary Magic, Rally, Surprise Strike
So, like have fun!

I'm in... terrified but in... lol

![]() |

Oh and Lore spends a little time doing some Mythic culinary practices...
profession cook: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
that would be 50 gp, yes?

![]() |

According to this table some thoughtful person made, I’d say yes, Lore!
No Day Job for Eadie, but I’m in for part 3!
I have a copy of Pathfinder RPG Mythic Adventures, but I haven’t read it yet.
Eadie levels to 5 (thanks, guys!) I will get a chance over the weekend to level her and check out the Mythic Rules, DrGabe if that timing is OK.
... but our combined kids were so loud ...
Sounds like your kids would get on well with mine.

As always, any questions or issues please let me know.
I am out for the weekend (holiday here in the states). We will resume our normal schedule early into next week.

![]() |

Have a great 3-day weekend, Gabe, and everyone else celebrating this weekend... See you next week.

![]() |

According to the tracking no., my computer arrives on Monday. I assume FedEx knows it is a holiday?
day job perform dance: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

![]() |

Yep, no fed ex on Labor Day. Missed delivery notice today, so I am gtg tomorrow after work

![]() |

Oh bummer... I was hoping to check in and see you on your fancy new computer!
Tomorrow then.
Alright- It looks like we have 4?
Eadie, Lore, Lhug, and Hadassah. Fleetwood I believe is out with work related duties for the time being.
Do we want to add more? Does anyone know of another?
Also Part three looks to be a bit long for a PFS scenario. if that influences anyone's decision... :)

![]() |

Lore 5, Eadie 5, Lhug 4, Dassah 4 would make our APL 4.5
I guess that means we could play subtier 3-4 with the 4 player adjustment.
If we added another Level 4 we would definitely be in tier 3-4, but without the 4 player adjustment?? Is that right?
I don't mind going with 4 or 5 or more.
Have you asked RyanH/Kyra, DrGabe?

![]() |

I'm good with adding one more... or proceeding with 4, whichever works out.... I don't mind waiting a few to see if we can find a 5th... there always seem to be players for pfs if you ask on the recruitment boards... but it sounds like people know others who might be interested already, which is fine.

![]() |

cool!

![]() |

“The Mythic Champion of the Ruby Sage and Ulnar Nerve of Abadar - at your service.”
Welcome back, RyanH! I say, play the character that’s most fun for you.
Oh, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Mythic Lore, Dassah and Lhug-mor turn out.

![]() |

Having oral surgery tomorrow so might be a bit out of things... we'll see if I can post or not on whatever pain meds they give me, lol... I should be fine by saturday though.

![]() |

Best wishes, Lore. Hope it goes well for you.

![]() |

hehe, yeah, I feel great now.... and I did eat lots of jello an a little ice cream too.

![]() |

I play a cleric in another game on the boards with a greataxe wielding barbarian. When he crits something, it becomes red mist!
So it is kinda fun to dish out the damage. Eadie is so much fun to play with this group. Thanks again for running, DrGabe.

How much are spellguard bracers (Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Equipment 275)? must be a typo.
Yes that was about the gist of it!

Well, we finally finished the series. Way to go folks!
The last part was a bit long, I don't see how people will finish it in a standard 4 hour slot. While it was fun, I think that is suffered from way too much background information that was hard to get across to players without just reading all of the non-block text.
As it is, there are a few more things to finish up we are officially done with this scenario... secondary success conditions (hint, hint!).

![]() |

Thank-you for running, DrGabe. I enjoyed the whole series very much.
I liked Part 1 the best – mainly because of the interaction between the PCs and NPCs. Part 3 seemed more focused on the Mythic and faction-changing background stuff, as you say.
That was my first exposure to the Mythic rules. They do seem a little overpowered. I can’t deny it was fun being a superhero for a while, though.
OK, as for earning that second PP, what haven’t we done yet, guys? Could it be about redeeming Kafar and Nefti – getting them to join the Pathfinder Society or something?

This was fun Gabe... love mythic, lol... thanks for running - still reading the massive boxed text section though...

![]() |

Whoops, sorry for the board silence. Its a holiday week here in the states and I've had family in town and such.
I hope to get the sheets to you this weekend and we can discuss plans going forward.
We need some aid another on the diplomacy for the Kafar and Nefti to joint the Pathfinders....

![]() |

And finally... I have the Chronicle Sheets ready to go:
As always if there are any questions just let me know.
Moving forward; like so many gamers, life has just gotten plain ole' busy for me. Its all a great thing, I am just super busy and online life is the first thing to go. However, I am still up for running more PFS scenarios here, if you folks are willing to play along! The pace will be steady (which is another word for slow!) but I do have a lot of fun running for you all. I hope that you have fun playing. If this isn't for you or its just time to leave and do something, just let me know (its all good!).
So, does anyone have any suggestions for a scenario?

![]() |

Thanks for a mythically good time, Gabe. I'm good for another game... and slow is fine with me. No idea what to play next though. Open to suggestions.
