Hey guys! Thanks for running for us, GM. I'm on my phone right now, and I'll wait to weigh in fully until I can see what other roles we have. Full disclosure, I have previously run this scenario.
As I said in Flaxseed, I'd have a slight preference to play my 5th level char who is from the Dragon Empires, just because thematics and stuff, but I can happily play my 7th level magus (or a 6th level barbarian). Both chars are melee builds and both are Silver Crusade, ha.
I've played S.R. but not with Marnius.

GM, if I use my "contacts" (faction card boon) to requisition an item, can I have it be a piece of artwork and pretend I stole it? What I mean is, could that count as "contraband" with a bluff check?

As far as disguise goes--what are we trying to disguise ourselves as? As Jal said, if he's hired muscle, can't he just go as himself since he's a trained warrior? As long as he doesn't display his wayfinder, of course.
As for me, if I'm planning to pose as a rich black market merchant, can I just use my sleeves of many garments to have me wear nice clothes? Or do I need to disguise my actual identity or something? If there is a pressing need for that, I'll use a charge from my disguise self wand. This coupled with heroism gives me a +15 disguise.

Guang will just use the disguise kit we were given, which has 10 uses, so there's nine still floating around; that's a +2 bonus for anyone who wants it, which I think stacks with the ones from the spell, etc.
(My reasoning is that as a native Tien, Guang may blend in a bit better in his own right... aside from the whole golden aasimar skin.) Anyway, with that being said, his net disguise skill using the kit would be a +4.
Last minute heads up. My wife and I are on vacation until Monday. Don't expect posts from me until Tuesday. Bot my character as necessary so as not to hold up the game.

OK.. my bad.. everyone posted their modifiers at the beginning of the post. All is accounted for! As for your questions:
You are going into "the den of iniquity".. a black market where most everyone knows everyone. You are, with perhaps the exception of Guang, foreigners and *generally* upstanding citizens. Going in normally, you are going to be sticking out like a sore thumb, hence the disguise kits and cautions about subtlety. You can add what ever flavor that you wish over in the gameplay, but there are several points at which I will have to roll your disguise vs attentive individuals.

Karos, potions of Disguise Self don't exist as it's a personal spell. If you get a scroll of Disguise Other, though, I'll cast it on you.
Okay, Thanks, Rolando. GM. In that case I'd like to have Karos buy a potion of invisibility (300 gp) and a scroll of disguise other (150 gp). He'll have Rolando cast the spell to make him look like a fiftyish Tien woman in peasant's garb.

Actually, this is moving a lot quicker than I thought it would. If we stick to it, we very well may finish in time. I do have to warn you though, my end of quarter testing is coming up for my nursing classes. I have two class finals and two class exit exams in the next week and a half and if someone scores less than an 80 on any of them, they get dropped from the program. I will do my best to keep up my post rate, but my studies must take precedence.
I am sorry. I had some travelling to do monday for my wifes dr appointments on tues. We spent all day running all over the city of indianapolis, before returning home very late last night, and spent today trying to play catch up. Those short trips always seem to cause more problems than they fix!
As such, I apologize for seriously screwing up that surprise round. It was 1 am, and I was just trying to throw out a post to get things rolling. Your concerns through PM and post were heard, and I appreciate your comments. Those comments are the only way in which I can get better at GMing!

Im a firm believer that players shouldn't rely solely on other caster characters to help them have answers to stuff like ability damage. I'm always trying to be aware of resources to allow my characters to bring their own solutions and resiliency. It doesn't come up much, but it's been helpful in a few situations. I'd certainly appreciate it should the roles be reversed.
Potions of Lesser Restoration can be absolute lifesavers, because it's just one round to drink them, as opposed to three rounds for any form of casting it! Even my casters who can cast restoration sometimes carry a potion of it.
And thanks for the congrats for the 4th star! It was a fun table, a couple of new players who don't know yet what they can't do, which is always my favorite. :P Even if it did wind up with a level 1 pre-gen Lem trying to solo ambush the big bad, haha.
Well then. You guys just added new items to my "Must Have Loadout"! lol I completely agree, Jal, and try to make my characters as absolutely self sufficient as possible. Somehow though, they still always end up a little squishy.. lol. I haven't been able to figure that one out yet.
Dien: Facepalm! I am hoping that the rest of the team was able to save him?????
I'm also really fond of potions of jester's jaunt, especially for those squishy casters. Getting grappled for a caster sucks SO badly, and being able to drink a potion and do a short-range teleport is another potential lifesaver.

Yeah, they managed it, hehe. The big bad was a ghast, so Lem stabs it... for two damage.... and the ghast promptly bit him, paralyzed him, and clawed him to unconscious in one round.
Me: What have we learned?
Lem-player: *hangs head* "Squishy bards are not front-liners who stab the big bad while the rest of the party is thirty feet away"
Still, no actual deaths, just a lot of nervous players. :P
HAHAHAHHA Lmao!! Yea, A while back, I was playing up with an old ranger/Rogue Teifling. Up till that point, he had been really bad ass.. speced out for sneak and poke attacks. Right off the bat I figured "Hey, I can stealth up there, capture the lookout, and we will all be golden!" Well, a lvl 5 cant really hold his own like that when playing tier 7-8. It took two or three rounds for anyone to get there to help me, and by that time, I was just about dead.. in the first encounter of the game. Didn't go too well after that either!!
