[PFS] CORE GM Zoomba's Captive in Crystal (Inactive)

Game Master Zoomba

Recent events have left the Master of Spells Aram Zey unable to fulfill his duties, and without his expertise, the Pathfinder Society struggles to resolve pressing arcane matters. The Decemvirate has reopened the decade-old case of the most qualified replacement: Aram Zey's predecessor and former Master of Spells Sorrina Westyr, who disappeared while handling a powerful wayfinder that the Society has since kept closely guarded. It is up to the PCs to track down Sorrina Westyr — and bring back whatever remains.

Well the latest PbP Gameday will end in a couple of days, and what am I going to do? Take a break from PbP and relax around the holidays? No fools! Instead I'm starting off a few more games.

So, I'm looking for 6 CORE characters ready and willing to help fill a key vacancy in the Pathfinder Society's ranks. Where might this journey take you? No one knows! (except I. I know.)

I would definitely be up for this - my choices include a level 5 Cleric (melee), or a level 5 Sorcerer (blaster) :-)

Does my guy have to be level 5, I have a soon-ish to be level 4.1 barbarian I will risk playing up if allowed. It all depends on the start date, I need to finish my GM table to get the chronicle for Thornkeep to apply to make him 4.1. If not allowed to play up, than I am unfortunately out, and wish all players a good game.

@Gilthanis: it is a 5-9 scenario, which means characters who are not 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th level cannot participate, as they are outside the level range :-/

I have a:

• 8th level Bard (skills, face, buffer, melee)
• 5th level Cleric (healer, tank)
• 5th level Paladin/Sorcerer (melee DD)

I'd also be fine using a Pregen.

I have played and GMed this scenario in Classic.

My preference would be to play the Bard, but whatever role we need i can accommodate.

Any chance this will be finished by January 13th? If so I would like to play.

I am willing to GM Replay this in Core. I got:

• Enchanter 6 (Control build, and can act as face and knowledges)
• Ranger 5 (Melee w/ pet)

I would need a little time to get my Enchanter ready (Monday), but my ranger is 100% ready to go.

Hrm, apparently my Enchanter is ready, I don't have chronicles uploaded yet. So I'd be ready to start with either. ;)

I'll wait to see if others have preferences on their classes before locking in mine.

How "healy" is your Cleric, Luke? Mine is Channel-focused, with liberal use of Shield Other, but has no melee ability.

If yours can heal well, I'd probably bring my Paladin instead.

Neither has any redeeming skills or Knowledges, though.

I can't guarantee that it will finish by the 13th, but assuming we start by the start of December, I think we stand a good shot or at least should be wrapping it up right around then.

In my case the 13th was for the gameday that Ragnar is playing in. Irizati isn't scheduled for anything else. Not that I mind fast paced games.

If it helps anyone choose what to play:
Irizati is a bit of a glass cannon. He spends much of his time as a Deinonychus with 23 str, 3.5 attacks, AC 16, and pounce. His animal companion Nagani is a 26 str constrictor snake with 20 AC and +17 to grab.
None of that includes my typical buffs from my wand of mage armor or extended greater magic fang.
If you toss in shield other plus healing the duo is pretty tanky.

Irizati is good at tracking but unsurprisingly useless in social situations.

Oh and I have played this in classic. An extra bonus for usually being unable to talk, No need to make party choices.

Is there anyone who hasn't played or GMed this before?

@Nefreet: My cleric is definitely not healing-focused (hence why I referred to him as a 'melee' PC) - He is charisma 7, so he only gets 1 channel per day; he prefers to *prevent* the need for healing, by hitting things with his magical adamantine elven curve blade until they go away ;-)

We may have to just go with 5. What is the start date for this?

I'll still see if there's any 6th person interested, but as we've gotten a solid interested crew put together here, let's plan to see if this can begin on December 1st. I'll likely create a discussion and gampely thread for this tomorrow.

GM Andrew here. With 2 melee PCs, I'm gonna go ahead and lock in my Enchanter 6 right here.
