Hope it's okay that I mentioned the portals, I only did so because it was part of the description of the scenario somewhere and my character is a Lore Oracle who worships Nethys so I figured if anyone would know a little bit of info about the situation, he would. If it gives away too much or something just let me know and I'll remove it right away. :)

That is a good question. I am also in the same predicament. Also what will happen if we can't/don't get the spell cast?

I do not think so, because if you die, no PP received. If you cannot get the spell cast, then it's not cast. It's nice to have, not necessary.

OK. Is it early enough that I can swap my spells learned for the day? An endure elements sure seems like a good idea!

Does there happen to be more gear that we can purchase before it starts? Like can Naafih offer to pay for extra air crystals? I feel like that will be the biggest issue.

Yes, go ahead and swap if you'd like. The adventure hasn't quite kicked off yet.

Official Overseer Ruling made for Tier 1-2: All Tier 1-2 players can get a loan from the society of the prestige needed to purchase the spell. If you choose to take the loan, you must pay the cost of this prestige on your chronicle.

This ruling has also been made for other Tier 1-2 tables. It's come up a lot!

In that case Naafih also takes the spell but it doesn't seem like it will matter. :P 5 rolls in and he already has three 1's and is unconscious, that's what I get for trying to be a non-combat character.

Are animal companions supposed to be this powerful? Blarg is so effective I'm almost afraid I did something wrong building him.

They're pretty effective in the early levels, which is why there's a restriction on the archetype that allows you to have multiple low-level companions at once. :P Later on they're still good but just not as strong against the evasive and special ability high level monsters.

Kahwn has the Glide special Tengu racial ability. Basically, he can use feather fall at will as long as he makes a DC 15 Fly check. He had to trade in the Gifted Linguist trait.

Let me know how/when you want me to jump in. I'd also like to have the special spell cast and, like Koani, I spent the PP from my first adventure on a Cure Light Wounds Wand so I'll need to borrow the PP until the end of the adventure.

Yeah I was wondering about the issue as well and some research showed a thread on June 2nd that says that a node was bad and causing problems but it was fixed within a day so hopefully this problem will be fixed soon as well :)

The forums have been a nightmare for past couple days. This the first time I've been able to connect since Saturday.

No worries. Our High Overseer is aware of it, so there will not be any penalization due to the choppy connection!

Yeah it seems like you can always access it via mobile/phone so I do that to check for updates but it's tough to post via those methods. Hopefully they stay working now! I was so excited for this game, my first in like 2 years, and of course there's issues getting in the way. :P

Koani knows the spell create water. Does anyone have any fun ideas how to use it effectively with creatures who fear drowning?

You could just cast it directly over him and hope that when it falls down on him he is shaken.

He seems to be freaking pretty hard just over the rain.

I think there's a big vase on the map, too. If you could fill it up and someone could dump him in, that might be effective but I think that would be a lot of create waters and grapple checks.

Just a heads up (since I've got some time while fighting a bit of insomnia), my Mom will be coming into town on Sunday and leaving on Wednesday and I'm having a day surgery on Monday (part of the reason my Mom is coming into town...the other part is a Neil Diamond concert.) I'm not sure what the aid things that keep coming up in the GM Overseer announcements mean. Is it stuff going on automatically? Stuff we can tap into? Doesn't apply to us?

It is absolutely something that applies to you and that you can tap into!

Thunderous Aid: Ranginori has sensed his saviors are near and attempts to grant them his power and wisdom. During combat, a PC adjacent to the puzzle orb can attempt an Average Diplomacy or Spellcraft check, or Easy Use Magic Device check to direct the Duke of Thunder’s wrath. If successful, a PC can cast one of the following spells as a spell-like ability, using her character level as her caster level and either her own Charisma or 20 to determine the spell’s save DC. She can use any of the spells listed in her own subtier or in a lower subtier. This ability can only be used once per combat, and any summoned elemental disappears at the end of the combat.

Subtier 1–2: cure light wounds, shocking grasp, summon nature’s ally II (air elemental only)

Between combats, Ranginori can impart his insights to one PC attempting a skill check to help free him. The group must decide which PC gains this bonus before she attempts a skill check, reducing the check's DC by one step (e.g. from Average to Easy).

You can also call on one of the water elemental allies that the Pathfinders freed for one full encounter to fight alongside you and possibly help with the puzzles!
