As the wall disintegrates at Khazmia's spell, the water you've been wading in suddenly starts pouring through, carrying you along with it!

Anyone not flying needs to give me a DC 15 Swim check or be pulled along with the water, taking 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 damage as you're pulled along the hallway and down a set of stairs.

Those who aren't swept away:

The passageway extends forward some 80 feet, leading down a set of stairs. A doorway also opens in the passageway to your left.

Those who are swept away:

The air in the enormous volcanic grotto you find yourself in is steamy and foul with noxious vapor. The floor is a field of bubbling mud pots, geysers, hot springs and mineral crusts. Rich reds, browns and yellows, combined with blacks and grays, vie for dominance in the churning, bubbling morass. Terraces crusted with deposits from mineral springs extend from the sides of the cavern at several points and here and there form stable-looking walkways and bridges over the sputtering mud. Stalactites hang from the ceiling, merging with stalagmites in two places near the center of the grotto to form pillars.

It's sweltering, and you can feel the heat draining you as sweat almost instantly covers you.

Make a DC 15 Reflex save or you find yourself in one of the hot mud pools and take 1d10 ⇒ 6 point of fire damage.

Linah, hardly a strong swimmer, is caught by surprise by the current and is swept away down the stair case earning a few bruises along the way. Once the water releases her she fights to regain her footing and take a look around her, trying to quickly identify the important features of the cavern.

OK, I think I'm back with no further expected interruptions until mid-October. Let's finish this thing in style (and maybe some bloodshed)!

The ceiling is 20 ft. high, Kyson.

You begin moving forward in the fetid miasma, the swelter continuing to cause struggles breathing, even despite Kyson's magic. The pathway is incredibly slippery -- and you can see the occasional burst of mud and geyser of steam popping at random spots amid the volcanic muck -- requiring careful balance Need DC 10 Acrobatics check every round to move if you're on the ground; you'll likely suffer a penalty to any Acrobatics attempts to do other things too.

Making your way carefully forward, you turn to the west -- burning hot mud splattering Linah 5 hp fire damage; you can make a DC 15 Reflex save to halve that, though it doesn't really matter because of Kyson's spell. You're continuing along the slippery passage when the mud suddenly seems to boil on both sides of you -- and two huge reptilian tails each ending in three claw-tipped fluke-like segments come surging out of the mud toward Zstelian and Sekathral. The former is able to slip away but the latter suffers a bruising blow 17 hp even as he manages to slip out of its grasp.

Linah steps back as Kyson moves into position near the submerged creature, only to have its tail slap out at him 15 hp, wrapping around in a vice-like grip grabbed, plus 27 hp from constrict.

Zstelian takes advantage, his blade cutting deep into the creature, which badly wounded tries to duck back under the muck, only to be blasted by Khazmia I had her scorching rays go toward it instead of the other one.

Behind them, Khazmia and Sekathral target the other koppru, though it seems little affected by the spell and explosion made its save, then has fire resistance so avoids some of that damage.

The remaining one attacks Zstelian, but seems more concerned in remaining in the muck, letting the old Varisian easily fend off its blows.

Linah moves to attack, but the creature manages to just duck away from her blade as it completes its downswing, only to end up in Zstelian's path, the ranger's weapon cutting deeply into it as it sinks buck into the muck.

It ducks away from Khazmia's lightning balls while Sekathral leaps into the boiling mud, swimming toward the creature even as his own flesh turns red from the viscous fluid. fire resistance protects him, but the mud is thick; takes 15 ft. worth of movement to go 5 ft. for creatures without a swim speed.

Swimming directly below Kyson and away from the shore, the creature focuses its attention on the elf, who manages to get in a blow as it moves. Seka takes 19 damage; I used the attack above as Seka's AoO; Kyson also gets an AoO.

Kyson waits as Sekathral swims back to shore, while Khazmia directs the balls of lightning back toward the creature, one of them sizzling against its skin, while the other two merely sputter in the hot mud.

It backs off and you suddenly realize four more have arrived from somewhere in the mud! Each of you suddenly feels a strange tickling in your brain, a voice almost like a conscious telling you to give yourself over to it and do what it commands you! SR did not help, Khaz, and dispel magic won't do anything either. This was a supernatural effect. Your Spellcraft check lets you know that protection from evil spells or something similar should work (I don't see that on your sheet, but will have you cast fly on Zstelian). Zstelian, yes, a freedom of movement spell would allow you to move through the mud without hindrance.

As Kyson and Sekathral stand still, Khazmia casts fly on Zstelian who does what? I assume heads out to attack which you can retcon in... while Linah takes up a defensive stance.
