If you delay until immediately after me, I'll disengage and let the bolter fire cut these guys down.

I don't want to leave N'Keln on his own for something else to creap up on him. None of you will get into combat before the assault marines wipe out the Hormagants.

If they can the best thing would be for both assault marines to disengage and draw them towards us. I'm not sure if that will give all the nid attacks of oppertunity on the assault marines.

Also, if N'Keln should have been shooting since round 1 there's a good chance he'd already have wiped out 2 hormagaunts.

Apologies to all for my lack of posting. I was out of town over the weekend at a wedding.

Hey fellas, something is goin on at work and I'm not goin to be able to post for about the next two weeks. I apologize to all of you, and if possible I'd like to continue the game as soon as I get back. This wasn't something we had planned for on our training calendar, so I didn't account for it in the game. Again I am sorry about the inconvenience.

I'm in the comunity for the DH2. I'm playing a DH1 game and GMing an OW game on theis forum.

I've got the DH2 Beta printed out and I'm looking into running some test games in real life.

How's DH2 Beta?

It's very different. Based on action points and has very much simplified a lot of things. I'll run a game in a few games time.

the hoard closer towards us rather than the guards? What's the best way of doing this action wise?

closer to the guardsmen, with the exception of Lanius... he's kinda in charge range.

I should probably switch to the heavy flamer to start melting the bugs, what's the best way of doing this, and to get the hoard closer to us than the guardsmen?

Move between the horde and the guardsmen, or order the guardsmen back.

Is there cover for the guardsmen to fall back to? Can I try to command them?

like if we can have them come to our position somehow that'd be great, might not work great for them though lol.

Their cover will do them no good against Hormogaunts in H-t-H

The nids have an assault marine to slow them. On turn 2 they will probably have 2.

Hey fellas, this game has kind of fallen off. I want to hear your thoughts before I decide one way or another to keep it going or shut it down.

I'm just waiting on you to get to me so I can do some s@%#. I've basically been sitting where twiddling my balls for the last month.

Seriously though, if we as players have to wait more than three days for GM response, that's gonna kill enthusiasm to play.

Yea this sort of thing happens a lot with PbP games. People don't realise how much dedication is required to run them. Paticuarly on the DMs part.

I was contemplating letting this game go myself, before you said.

I don't have d20 but I do have GURPS and Savage Worlds. I by far prefer Savage Worlds!

Alright I'll try and push things a bit faster through this combat. It seems to be bogging us down a bit waiting on dudes to take their turn.

As a PbP GM I have some tips in that regard.
1/ Don't let the enemies go on more than 2 iniative levels (group them together if needs be)
2/ Let PCs/Allies who's turns are back-to-back go in any order
3/ Have a 48hr cut-off after which you'll npc the PC for that turn

Indeed in more than 1 way. I've had to repeat the same 2 modifiers 4 times in my OW thread now (Vehicles with lights on +20, Everyone else at -30 due to the darkness). If that happened in real life everyone would be taking the piss out of the guy who forgets...

What can you do? There are pluses to PbP, but sometimes it's hard to see them.
